Location

Very service minded staff - from front desk to hospitality - super friendly and super helpful. It’s a fantastic location on the Wolfgangsee lake with direct access to the lake - swimming and water sports activities, and the town centre itself is just a one minute walk . The view from our room was exactly as advertised - exceptional and great attention to detail to the needs of the guests in the room . Very good breakfast which is open until noon .

Almost no TV programs in English except two English news channels.

Liked everything

I liked everything except the view from the window. When booking, it was said that it was a patio view. as a result, a view of the air conditioners and the roof. must be warned. and it's not about the price.

The hotel beach is breathtakingly beautiful. Especially love the mysterious design on second floor, very stunning. Dinner in hotel restaurant is amazing, best ingredients and perfect service. Non-smoking outdoor dining is definitely a plus, finally people can enjoy the absolutely fresh air while enjoying the lake breeze, without the annoying cigarette smell. Very pleasant experience.

Fantastic staff, food (special mention of luxurious breakfast) and facilities! staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome! also the views of the lake were amazing, and we really enjoyed swimming in the beautiful, warm, clear water!

Like the breakfast location as it is wide spread and you can find a quiet place. Nice view on the lake. If there are private events like wedding, you cannot use all the facilities. Seems to be very popular for it.

Our stay a Scalaria Sunsetwing was perfect. Combination of Austrian food, mountains together with clear water was stunning.

In the room, there was no cupboard for our stuff :)

We loved our long weekend stay at Scalaria on Wolfgansee. The room was great with a balcony overlooking the lake, the breakfast was amazing, the lakeside chairs were comfortable and robes, slippers, beach bag, and beach towels were all provided! The beach bar had excellent drinks (alcoholic and non). The staff were all super nice. The room had coffee, water and fresh fruit included. There was a even a place to store our bicycles.

I think they give me room in old section were they have to renovate all that section and I have to take elevator and carry my staff for one floor old wooden step , they have to improve the beds and the quality of the additional bed and to replace all old linen . the pictures when I booked in the hotel was different than what I got ??? very strange as I don't know if they have new rooms or old rooms ??? or they give me different than what I have booked ? in the first night I asked to change the one of the room as I felt their smell in the room and no good air circulation . the hotel manger she changed it immediately and she was helpful. as the hotel not meet my expectations as the room at all I have been pushed to leave to other hotel in the last nigh and cancel the last night in-spite I have paid for it or they adjust by letting me pay for one room for one night instead of paying for two rooms reason I have paid in advance for my three nights. breakfast was good . options for dinner not much , also the dinner staff they have to be trained not all of them are trained as we order two meal and they serve only one and when I asked to pay I found still they charging for two then they have adjusted even when I asked for fresh orange juice the lady confirmed they have and when they serving was not fresh and when we asked they confirm they don't have fresh orange juice and after 5 mins the same restaurant in the lower level they served me with fresh orange juice but the difference different waiter but same restaurant in different floor level ???

Excellent location, very modern design hotel. Room size was adequate for 3, excellent breakfast, fabulous facilities by the lake, overly helpful staff. Parking shuttle service worked well, which was important, given the dire parking situation in the high season. Special dinner offer is available for haut cuisine lovers.

The bathroom design (transparent glass walls, with some stickers in strategic places) works less well for families. Even though we had booked the room for 3, towels, robes, etc were given only for 2 (on request we got more, but the towel change remained an issue). Parking is difficult in the high season. A la carte dinner is not available, only the pre planned menu.

Limited lake view from rooms at the end of the Sunset wing. Some other option for dinner other than just a gourmet dinner for € 52/ person would be welcomed.

The location was superb, right on the lake. There were plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the lake and no shortage of sun beds. The breakfast spread was one of the best we have had. The beds were very comfortable. The coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. Overall the staff were lovely and helpful.

Our room didn’t have air conditioning and it was very warm during our stay. We stayed 4 nights but there was insufficient room to store clothes so we had to leave majority in the suitcases. The shower was in the bath and was a bit small. We asked receptionist to book us a taxi to take us to the train station in the last day and at first she refused and handed us a taxi number to do it ourselves, saying people didn’t turn up. We tried calling it from our mobile phone but it wouldn’t connect so she did it for us in the end but we felt she had been rude.

location was great, breakfast was excellent

we were surprised that our rooms had no AC. it wasn’t clear when we made the booking. we had to leave the windows open all the times. we could hear all the conversations from the the next rooms. Beside the guest in the next room was smoking most of the time and we could smell it which was very annoying and uncomfortable. the house keeping was poor, they never clean the glasses and cups after we used them. overall, me and the family were not pleased with our stay although the location was great.
