We had a wonderful time as everything we wanted to visit was close by, but La Fish Camp was secluded enough that we had plenty of peace and quiet.

This is the perfect little getaway. The wildlife was amazing; from fireflies to manatees. The stars at night are beautiful. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a little getaway.

Our first time on this property, but our third year with Dan and Margaret as our hosts. Canoe access in the yard, and near other beautiful rivers, made it perfect for us. Very clean and relaxing spot.

We would love to come back. The home had everything we needed to just relax. We fished off the dock and on night one, caught a few large catfish and some bass. Fried them up and enjoyed great freah fish. We had a fire and watched the stars and even enjoyed a few movie nights. Would recommend.

Comfortable and CLEAN. Access to kayak or two would be nice. Short drive to anumber of Florida state pars and trails. Sunshine EVERY SINGLE DAY and 80 degree days in January. Kept the Ibis and Egrets happy with freshly caught panfish from the dock.

We had a lot of fun fishing off the dock and even saw an Alligator. The place is close to local eating spots and close enough to rainbow springs to go kayaking. House was nice and clean.
Only downfall which is nothing towards the owners. Just be on the look out for airboats speeding through while fishing.
But we will definitely be booking again

La Fish Camp was just what we needed. A few friends looking for an affordable get away 1 hour from Tampa home. Property is on a canal very close to main river. Large yard and fire pit was nice. Large dock to hang out on.
The home was more spacious than the pictures portrayed and was more than adequate for our group of 3 guys just wanting to hang out on the river for a long weekend.
Red's was great for breakfast and within walking distance and Stumpknockers was maybe a 1/2 mile away for awesome steaks and seafood in an old Florida setting.
Dan was very accommodating and was always available to answer any questions we had throughout the entire booking process and stay.

Good location. Fished right off dock, golfing, state parks, manatee viewing, equestrian center, outdoor free music venue Friday and Sat.at Circle Square Commons,
all within 30 miles or less.
Large living area with queen pullout sofa ok. Double bed comfy enough and bunk beds in other bedroom. vrbo listed queen in great room besides not so.
Kitchen table sat 4 comfortably with good size living area and kitchen. Laundry and restaurants nearby along with grocery stores. Traffic noise noticable when outside but enjoyed cookong on charcoal grill and using fire pit a few evening.
Dan was very accommodating with info and brought firewood. Easy to find mobile house with flag in yard.

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage home.
Our son loved fishing off the dock ,we enjoyed making bonfires,the hammock and my coffee in the morning was just perfect.
Dan and Margaret are so nice,they checked on us to make sure were had everything we needed.

We loved our stay! Very simple, remote, and in nature. It was perfect for my husband and I and our two teenagers! It was private with a dock to fish off of. So nice to get back from a busy day, pour a cocktail and hang out fishing. Great part was the small alligator we befriended. very welcoming and the hosts were great! Made sure we were happy! I would definetly recomend for a small family or couple!

Little cabin by the lake
We enjoyed this perfect little oasis with the family and one furry baby. It was home away from home and close to everything - parks, nice restaurants and convenience stores. Host was very helpful and accommodating and was available anytime we need anything. Already planning our next trip.

Great Memories Made at La Fish Camp
We had an amazing stay at this cozy home. It was extremely clean and had all of the essentials. The dock was really cool, especially with the string lights turned on at night. The location was perfect for visiting the springs, and there were many great restaurants near by. I can’t wait to stay again!

Unplug & Getaway
Just what the soul needed; some downtime and relaxation. Property was clean and pet friendly. The whole purpose of our trip was to just get away from the "noise" of everyday life, and this quiet area provided it. The local restaurants had great food. Enjoy!

Just what we needed!
We had such a wonderful time during our stay at La Fish Camp! The property and residence is very well kept. Close to local restaurants but far enough away to hear the sounds of the night. Loved the Dock and the hammock. We live four hrs away so we packed a couple steaks to cook and it was another plus that there was charcoal and lighter fluid...the only and I mean ONLY thing we had any issue with was the auto lock on door but once we got the feel of it, future openings where without incident....we will definitely be back and already referred this to a friend...thanks for a great get away!

Relaxing and Peaceful
We really enjoyed the dock and yard and hammock. We saw lots of wildlife… Sandhill cranes, egrets, herons, ducks, turkeys, turtles, terns, small gator! Stargazing was awesome. It’s a small slice of paradise. Went tubing on Rainbow River, so much fun! Lots of state parks in the area for hiking. It was laid back and relaxing!

Beautiful area, relaxing property on canal
Had an AMAZING time. Easy check in, hosts communicative and thoughtful. Home overall comfortable and has all the basics you'll need plus more for comfort. The yard is huge and I loved sitting on the porch playing cards while looking out on the water.
The sleeping arrangements are adequate but are definitely not the star point of this property...The master bedroom has a smallish bed (queen vs full?) and that room was rather was rather warm, it did not feel as well air conditioned as the rest of the home which was quite cool. There were also no curtains or shades to protect from the warmth as the sun rises. We noticed there was a window unit in that back bedroom but there was also a sign on it that said please do not use. Having air conditioning in the bedroom and a shade over the window would have made this stay even more comfortable.
A second thing to be aware of is that the 2nd bedroom with bunk bed, is really only suitable for kids or young people ;) I'm pretty spry but it was a challenge to climb up and down. The mattresses are thin and really only for kids. I survived- and loved the place- but i think that's a fair comment to leave for others to see!

The place was great for me! I appreciated being able to have my dogs - it was so much better than a hotel stay. The only negative for me was the distance from Ocala but that was outweighed by the positive. Everything was nicely organized - thank you for the labels on the light switches! Would have liked some blinds/curtains on the small window in the bedroom. Kitchen well stocked. TV had huge choice of channels. Enjoyed the stay!

Peaceful relaxing stay
Everything was just as expected so absolutely no complaints! Clean, quiet, relaxing. Great dock to fish from, loved star gazing and building a campfire to cozy up to on a cool evening. Very easy check in, string internet and nice satellite TV. The owners were very responsive (and quick) with just a question or two we had. Great place to escape the stress of work, kids, the city, traffic, noise, etc. We'll be back!

Winter Stay
We stayed for 2 months to avoid the MI winter. Caught some fantastic fish from the dock. Kayaked the canal and the Withlacoochee, biked the Withlacoochee Trail and hiked many of the nearby trails. The property location can be noisy at times, especially during the typical morning/afternoon work traffic.

Close to nature and activities
We had a terrific week at La Fish Camp! It’s comfortable and homey! We were able to get out everyday to bike and kayak. Wild Florida is close by! Relaxing on the dock at the end of the day was rewarding because we could see rare birds and wildlife. Many thanks!

Wonderful!
We had an amazing 6 week stay. It was a great home base for us as we were looking for our new home. The hosts were the best and saw to our every comfort. The property along the river was wonderful. We saw a lot of wildlife. Close to some nice walking trails and good places to eat. The home was very comfortable for both of us and our dog. It is centrally located to Ocala and Inverness/Crystal River. We would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Super pleasant to deal with, and an easy check-in process. Enough room for all of us in this cute and quaint home. Only down side was all the traffic on that road but with side street entrance nothing to concerning. Would definitely stay again next time we're in Florida

The renting process was fabulous. The place was spotless it was right on the river we were able to go fishing and very close to rainbow Springs. I would recommend to anyone who's looking for a nice little stay away from home.

Great place to relax
The whole process of renting this place was so easy. The owners were so helpful in their communication and answering questions. The house was very clean and was stocked very well.
The only thing I would change would be to add some soil and or rock at the drive entrance. It and the dirt road were flooded from the heavy rain. Made the drive very muddy and I hated to feel like I was messing up the drive going thru the mud making ruts. The rain had also flooded the dock so I missed sitting and enjoying the river…but we can’t fix Mother Nature. Guess I will have to plan another visit.
I would recommend this place for anyone that would like to relax.
