The home is everything we could have hoped for and so much more, the check in was easy, the home has everything you would need while staying there. It has a spectacular view of the river; just wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely a 10!!!!

Our first Vrbo experience and it was perfect. The home is beautiful and furnished with anything you could possibly need (or want, such as the kaykas). The decor is nicely done. The view is gorgeous. Perfect place to relax! The hosts are very kind and responsive. Wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely recommend!

The River Retreat is beautiful and relaxing. There are high end kitchen appliances that make cooking (reheating:) a breeze. There are cozy pillows and throws on the comfy furniture. We really appreciated the WiFi and connectivity of the TV. The views are lovely and the surroundings are quiet. We spent time quality time on the deck overlooking the river. Everything was provided for our stay and any question we had was answered right away. The location is so convenient to good shopping and dining as well as fishing, biking (Withlacoochee) and kayaking. We love the area. We loved our time at River Retreat and our hosts. We can’t wait to return.

We enjoyed the stay at the river house very much. The owners were very attentive. Pretty chilly weather so we did not get to really enjoy the river activities but hope to on another stay!

Nice house inside the house Everything is perfect. We don’t missing nothing. Only what my wife complain she’s missing cappuccino and espresso and small coffee cup but you know woman is woman thank you so much again.

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. We walked in and immediately felt at peace. The home is so beautifully decorated and well appointed. This is our fourth stay at "the river house" as my boys call it. It was the first time in the summer, so we enjoyed cooling off by tubing! The house was a great retreat! Woul highly recommend!

The worst thing about this property was leaving it. I am so sad that I could not stay longer to fully enjoy all of its offerings. If you are going to be in the region and you love nature and the outdoors book this property now. You will not regret it. Quiet, clean, comfy everything, spacious, great decor, functional layout, nice amenities, amazing back porch and a great river view. Lots of hiking, biking, kayaking, and tubing in the area and close enough to town to get food if you don't want to cook. What an amazing surprise for our family. We all loved it and we will hopefully be back again.

This was the perfect river retreat for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. We had planned it as a base camp for exploring the central Florida springs, but it was so perfect that we spent the majority of our time on the property and on the Withlacoochee River. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated, comfortable and well equipped, everything high end and brand new. Our hosts had thought of everything. They even provided Kayaks with which we spent many peaceful hours on the river. Another highlight for us were the sunrises and morning coffee off the deck/pier, overlooking the perfectly still water, reflecting every crisp detail and vibrant hue of the surrounding forest. Heaven!

This is a beautiful, spacious and clean home located on the Withlachoochee River. The home has been tastefully remodeled and the owners took great care to equip the home with everything a guest would want to relax and enjoy the river setting. You can enjoy reading a good book laying in the outdoor hammock, go fishing from the dock, make s’mores by a night fire, enjoy a glass of wine or coffee while observing the natural beauty of the nature preserve across the river, or take the kayaks out for a peaceful paddle down the calm Withlachoochee River. In addition, the home is close to Rainbow River. Rainbow River is a must see for anyone visiting this area. The naturally spring fed river is crystal clear and breathtaking. You can go tubing down the Rainbow River from Rainbow Springs State Park or kayak the river from KP Hole Park or kayak from the Rainbow Springs State Park. KP Hole Park can be difficult to get parking if you are not there early. The kayaks can be slightly difficult to launch off the dock, but luckily I had two strong men to help get the kayaks in the water. All and all, a great location for a peaceful getaway on the river. I highly recommend this location and I would stay here again with my family.

My family had such a great time relaxing by the river. We fished off the dock and caught plenty of Blue Gill. Such a quiet and peaceful place.

This was our third stay at "The River House" and we love it more each time! The amenities are great. The house has everything we need, plus more. The house is so clean and spacious. Hosts are super attentive and accomodating. We can't wait to return!

Communication with Adam & Jennifer was great - they promptly replied to our questions prior to arrival. Their home was spotless. We prepared all our meals in the well-appointed kitchen. On return from our daily adventures, we relaxed on the dock and fished a bunch (albeit without success). Check in/out was seamless. Next time we intend to use the kayaks as well.

We stayed at this property in the spring of 2022, and loved it so much we booked again in Dec. The property is so amazing! Quiet river can lull you to sleep. We saw a deer across the river, caught a few small fish, and just relaxed the week away. Adam and Jennifer have thought of everything and all the little details that make a trip great....and they are there if you need anything else. You won't go wrong with this immaculately clean, upgraded, comfortable home away from home.

This property was absolutely amazing. Immaculately clean and had everything you could imagine being home away from home. Because we like being prepared, we usually travel with extra necessities such as toilet paper, dish soap, and paper towels. We didn’t have to use any of our stuff- this property had it all. Such a quaint, quiet getaway for our family before school starts back up. Tubing down Rainbow Springs, eating at local restaurants, and fishing off of the back deck were some of our favorites. Kayaks, fishing poles, tackle back, etc all included in this property. Highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed!!

My partner & best friend stayed at the retreat for a weekend paddle trip. The house was perfect, and exactly as pictures. Was super comfortable for the 3 of us with plenty of room for more if there were more 😀. Lovely serene location, super clean and cozy. Beds were very comfortable as was the whole house. Very tastefully decorated, couldn’t ask for more.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The property was absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen had everything you need for home cooked meals, the entertainment center was stocked with board games and there were even kayaks and fishing poles in the garage. The house itself was beautiful and the river out back was peaceful. The communication with the owners was a breeze and they promptly answered all questions we had. All in all it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning!

This home is so beautiful! The decor is modern, comfortable and this house have everything you need to enjoy a vacation on the River. The kitchen contains everything you might need need, from wine glasses to a potato peeler. It was one of the most well equipped homes we have ever stayed in. The house has a wonderful screened in patio which is lovely to sit and enjoy the view. The bed is so comfortable that we asked for the brand name to purchase one for ourselves. The owners were super responsive and helped rescue us, whenever we asked. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and orderly the home is and how well organized the house was with labels explaining or advising necessary information. It was quiet, and very nice. We would love to return next year to relax and enjoy Dunellon and it’s rainbow River . A cautionary word to those wanting to go the the KP Hole or Rainbow River state park, these close down once capacity has been reached so arrive early! Thanks again for a fantastic trip!

Lovely house on the river in cooling shade of tall trees provides a very pleasant vacation place. The house is nicely renovated with thoughtful details. Kayaks availability is awesome. Morning coffee in the screened porch or on the dock is irresistible. Great location close to natural springs as well as Gulf of Mexico beaches. Nature preserve across the river offers observation of wildlife. Highly recommended to anyone who seeks relaxation in a calm place close to natural beauty.

My family and our friends loved getting away to the River Retreat. We were looking for a few day get away with our families where we could fish, kayak, grill out, and do nothing. This is exactly what we did. The house was clean and had every thing we needed. From the kayak to the small screw driver (for my sons remote control car) the owners had thought of everything. We can’t wait to go back.
