Loved the room, my 11 yr old & myself stayed in room 7. Very cosy, nice & clean, and a bed to die for very comfortable & great quality bedding to go with it! Perfect amount of furniture which was also lovely. Also loved that it had a fan in the room as the room was quite hot and yes we could open the window ( which was also great ) but due to it being very windy the open window rattled the doors so we used the fan which my son loved as he is autistic & sleeps with a fan on anyway so that was brilliant. Great night sleep for both my son & I. Would definitely use again & recommend. Also free WiFi is fantastic a must if you have an autistic child, & had no problems activating it. Definitely 10/10 for us! 😊

My friend stayed in room 4. She loved the room, bed & facilities ect but kept tripping up when going to the bathroom as it has a sort of small step. Maybe you could have a mind the step sign or a fluorescent bit of tape on the step???? Also the drain in the shower in room 4 was backing up with water. It would have of been nice if there was a continental breakfast available. Very minor issues but otherwise great!

Located right in the heart of Hackney, close to bus and train services shops and restaurants. Rooms are up a set of extremely narrow and steep stairs so make sure you’re prepared for that! Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The room was tiny but bright, clean and well kept with a very comfortable bed. There was a party going on in the pub downstairs but I didn’t hear a thing!

I got a good deal for the room £80 which I think is reasonable for a lovely room in central London, but it would be a little overpriced above this rate in my opinion.

No breakfast or food available

Awful stay, would not reccomend at all. Booked for 2 nights but the first night was unbearable so didn't stay the second. Paper thin rickety windows letting wind in and unbearable noise. No soundproofing whatsoever so didn't sleep a wink. Insect traps under the radiators which wouldn't turn up, on or off. I complained to booking.com who apologised and said they would raise with the hotel. Hotel however, showed no apologies and charged me the full price for both nights, even though we only stayed for one night because the other was unbearable.

Room was decorated really nicely, gorgeous old sash windows, nice dark blind to keep the light out, bed very confortable, water in the bathroom nice and hot for showers ... Everything seemed to just work exactly how you'd like it!

Bedrooms as pictured , very friendly staff abd very helpful too. Lovely clean crisp bedding . Balcony - a proper treat in centre of London. Surprisingly quiet .

TV didn’t work . But if black mild in the shower . Both sortable . They offered us drinks and snacks in lieu of TV working which was very nicely done .

Really comfortable room above a busy and friendly pub. When I arrived karaoke was in full swing and I was a bit worried about the noise, but they must have amazing sound proofing as once I was upstairs I couldn’t hear it at all. The bed was very comfortable and the room nicely laid out.

Nothing significant. Didn’t have soap for the basin, though did have shower gel.

The staff were very accommodating. Helped us with our suitcases (stairs were steep and I have arthritis) and provided us with all the information we needed about the area. Nice street next to the pub - excellent food. Close to transportation. The room was very quiet even though the pub was noisy. The street quieted down at night so no problem sleeping.

Shower got clogged up very quickly. Music from pub DJ downstairs was loud until around midnight but it didn't really bother us.

I would definitely recommend this guest house and book it again for my next trip to London. The hosts are so incredibly nice, sweet, warm and helpful, no matter what. It is located directly above a pub and can be entered either through the pub or the courtyard. In either case, you are greeted warmly by the guests present. The atmosphere is very relaxed, sociable and almost family-like. I had an overall very large and nice room with a private balcony, which was especially nice in the evenings. It was also very clean. I felt very comfortable in Hackney. It is a colourful, cool, hip and cultural neighbourhood. There are also many shopping opportunities, including market stalls with fresh fruit and vegetables every day, a park and nice cafés and restaurants are also around the corner. The nearest tube station is a 3-minute walk away, and in a few stops you are already in Stratford, from where you have a direct connection to Stansted Airport. I will miss my time there and am already thinking back to the people. All the best!

Absolutely the best place i've ever stayed, lovely owners and staff. The pub is amazing too, great people and a good vibe. Room was lovely too, only the water pressure is a bit low on the top floor but not bothering. Amazing overall! Will definitely be back in the future!! x

The staff were welcoming and always helpful. The room was of adequate size and cleanliness. The bed was comfortable It was a short walk to bus stops and the Hackney Central train station.

The location did not feel safe at night and having to walk through the pub to get to our room was not particularly comfortable.

It was a quintessential UK pub stay experience. Friendly welcoming staff, the room had all the amenities required, clean room, lovely bedding.

I enjoyed my stay very much, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The staff was very friendly and I could leave my luggage there after checkout without a surplus.

It was extremely noisy. And with this I do not mean the usual pub noise. It was Karaoke night which was funny. But after the pub was closed it still was very noisy. Quite a lot of people were shouting and I cannot say if it was from guests or from other people. Nevertheless, it lasted until around 2am.

Okay area to stay in, many shops and restaurants nearby and a 5 minute walk from the train station. Encountered very friendly staff for the check-in.

It's quite an old place with narrow stairs. Guests will have to walk past a part of the pub and its customers to get to the rooms. The room I stayed in had cracks that could easily be spotted. It felt like the room was on an angle or tilted almost. Some metal parts in the shower was a bit rusty. The sound isolation from outside was very poor as the window couldn't close properly. Additionally, the door to the bathroom was broken so I was unable to close it properly as well. When I did not ask for service one day, the cleaner had still walked in to the room and only done the blanket; The used coffee cups were not replaced, no refills of anything, and the pillows, sheets weren't done either...only the blanket.

The staff were lovely and the room very spacious. Very comfortable bed. A bulb was out in the bathroom and one of the bedside lights . Somewhere to Put toiletries would be useful In the bathroom. We did however have a very comfortable stay thank you xx
