The location

Everything! It is obviously being used to accommodate the homeless as there was washing hanging from the balconies, kids riding scooters around the car park. The room had a ‘lovely’ smell of stale smoke, cannabis and disinfectant. We found another hotel up the road and handed the key card back without using the room or even asking for a refund. There are people camping on the grass next to the car park.

the bathroom was tiny and tired with lots of limes ale; the shower curtain was plastic. it was very noisy. breakfast was very limited - no cereals, only bread and yogurt.

the room smelt of cheap cleaning products and cheap washing powder. I had to pay. I liked that I could leave.

The staff were friendly.

Unfortunately the hotel felt very dated, dirty and rough. The sheets were washed but still had dirt on. The toilet looked like a cigarette had been put out on the seat. The doors and windows did not seal. Perhaps the exchange rate no longer reflects the quality of a hotel but for £70 I have stayed in clean, comfortable hotels nearby. The only positive comment is that we had some sleep and the staff were friendly. The hotel itself needs a more honest description on booking.com.

We weren't expecting huge amounts for the price, it was fine for a stop over for one night, although I didn't sleep well as the traffic was very noisy and the bed sunk in the middle, but the bed was huge and the room with the bunk above was a clever use of space.

The main thing was the location and the traffic was very loud, being right next to a busy roundabout which boy racers seemed to enjoy racing round at 3am.

the room is budget and you get what you pay for, however the rooms smelt musty and had clearly had smokers in previously even though it’s no smoking.
