Wonderful and charming Hotel, staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly, no request too much trouble. Great breakfast and restaurant looking over fantastic views. (Sunsets were incredible). Concierge on WhatsApp and will book trips for you (which were great). Amazing wildlife everywhere and courtesy shuttle bus to the beach a real bonus. Rooms spacious, comfortable and immaculate.
Nothing to not like.

Nada. Recomendado.

Amazing location. Team are happy and willing to help in any way. The wildlife is in front of you. The restaurant is superb and the spa delightful. Having a concierge on WhatsApp was very helpful.

We had a fabulous stay at Gaia for my partners birthday at the end of our stay in Costa Rica. The food was a particular highlight, we had the Mahi Mahi and the tuna steak, both delicious. breakfast was also perfect. special mention to staff Nelson in the restaurant and concierge Carlos. Also the owner Boris said hello at breakfast and was so kind and welcoming. we had a great time at the pool and ordered drinks and nachos and all staff so helpful bringing towels and asking if we needed anything. Overall a fantastic stay.

This resort was the highlight of our trip! Beautiful property.
The staff spoiled us and the property and pool was unreal. Pics did not do it justice.
We’ve recommended to family and friends!

This was a very last minute booking, we had drove 6 hours already and was tired, I asked if we could check in early, it was around 11:00 a.m. . When we arrived at the gate and they already had our paperwork, brought us up to the manager, whose name is Michael I believe, gave us a drink or wait in the lounge and they would get a room as quick as possible. We ate lunch and before we were done eating, we were told our room was ready. I have never been to a hotel where all the staff try to learn your name as quickly as possible. I thought it meant a lot. It's too bad the hotel isn't located closer to the ocean. I wish our hotel that we stayed four nights afterwards would have had the same type of attention to detail as this hotel did. And their food was good and not overpriced, we ate lunch and dinner there. Very nice
You have a nice view of the ocean but it is from quite a distance. Still a very nice view. Everything is white, very contemporary, not my style.

everything ! I could write a book about this wonderful hotel.
I have been lucky enough to stay in some wonderful 5 star hotels across the world, but this one is the very BEST! the customer service is a absolutely at the top of its game here. the reserve is beautiful and the standards across the hotel are amazing.
Big shout out to our wonderful concierge Carlos and what a true gentleman the owner Boris is, so passionate about what they are all trying to achieve through this wonderful hotel and it’s conservation efforts in the local area.
nothing at all

Views from the dining room and guest room were spectacular. Happy hour ambiance was very good. Little extras like a welcome drink and snack at departure were nice.
This property is on the side of a very steep hill. The staff is very good about golf cart shuttles from the small parking area to the hill top. But this resort is not good for anyone with mobility issues. Steep stairs exist everywhere around the property. The pool area also was a little underwhelming. We were not fans of the food preparation in the restaurant.

What a lovely place. Such a fantastic team led by the ever present owner Boris. They all seemed so motivated and proud so he must be doing a good job. The views of the bay were awesome and the room lovely and cool and well equipped. Wonderful conservation efforts with the Macaws too which were really interesting to learn about. A great location near to the National Park and with a free shuttle to the beach, everything is on the doorstep.

Pretty hotel with great views. Hotel has a macaw reserve so you see them everywhere which is a great plus. Luna restaurant and free breakfast are both excellent. Staff were some of the friendliest people that I met on my vacation. Will be staying again in the future.

The room was lovely and the private pool was great to have. Breakfast was great and the staff provided a welcome drink and even a small bag of pastries for our trip back to the airport. It was a very nice and relaxing stay for our last day in the area.
unfortunately quite a few times the private pools were not running due to cleaning and they unfortunately are a bit cooler and completely shaded compared to the pools open to all guests, so that’s something to consider if you are debating on the type of room. We mostly ended up using the main hotel pool. While the room was very nice, it does seem like the rooms are starting to age and small things need to be tended to in the room to ensure everything continues to function properly and maintain appearance.

The service is excellent and the macaw exhibit is AMAZING. We loved our Manuel Antonio excursion, which ended up being a private tour with the BEST guide (Harold).
The resort is on a hill, which means you are going up or down stairs or ramps to get anywhere. There are golf carts available to get between the main resort area, but it was a lot of walking! Also, the rooms are quite spacious but don't have a lot of furniture in them? I would like to see more furniture or larger furniture in the rooms?

the staff was extremely kind and the room was spacious and comfortable. the tour guide hired by the hotel was excellent.
for a 5 star hotel, it needs refreshing. the infrastructure and the common areas (pool, gym) are old and lacking basic maintenance. iguana poop all over the pool deck.

The staff were amazing. Jose was a great concierge and was super accommodating with everything. The restaurant was great, and it was amazing being in a nature reserve. Seeing animals fly around, lounge in trees and by the pool was very cool. Their shuttle to Playa Espadilla and Manuel Antonio Park was always timely and super convenient.
It’s advertised as adult only, but that’s not true. There were kids in the restaurant and they define adult as 13+. It was fine but definitely not what I expected.

everything was so professional and well cared.

our reception was phenomenal and the view from the restaurant and pools.
the food was not a stand out option. the hills were not easy to walk regularly and there was an over reliance on staff provided transportation to and from your room.

good breakfast and food. lovely pools. helpful staff. Juan-Jose did some excellent tours of the national park and also their macaws - their efforts to aid this species is brilliant
the room smelt damp sadly. We were also staying on our honeymoon and had requested a table at the edge of the restaurant to watch the sunset on our last night. we were advised this was done but on arrival at the restaurant they didn’t seem to be aware and despite a table being available ( for the several hours we spent there) we were not allowed to sit with the view and had to sit further back in the restaurant. not a deal breaker but a bit disappointing as there wasn’t any extra effort to make it special for the occasion.

The place was just great to end our honeymoon. Breakfast was both local and delicious and with a wonderful view of the ocean. At all times we felt treated excellent. The reserve of birds and the night tour was just a plus.
To be honest, there was little not to like. Perhaps I'll just suggest announcing a bit more the Gift Shop, which honestly, I never really noticed was in the same room as the front desk.

great location, and the natural reserve is beautiful. we saw so many incredible birds and animals in the hotel and the views over Manuel Antonio and the pacific is breathtaking.
it’s very dated and needs modernisation. there are now many other nice modern hotels with a much better atmosphere in the area which are a fraction of the price. the restaurant La Luna has an amazing view to but the food and service was not at all 5 star. Our friends had to wait 3 hours to be seated even though there were plenty of free tables that evening. Again, other restaurants a walking distance away had much better food, were better priced and also had sunset views over the jungle and ocean. The hotel also lacks many of the small niceties you would expect from at 5 star resort. like nice towels. fresh bottled water in your room each day, a cleaner pool area, music around the pool, jacuzzis for the guests to enjoy and relax in. our highlight of the stay was a tour of the reserve but then we were repeatedly asked to donate our money which is fine being asked once but we felt it is a bit rude given how much we are paying to stay at the hotel.
