de ruimte en de ligging is prima. Van alle gemakken voorzien en een schitterend uitzicht over de bevroren rivier en besneeude bergen. Ook hebben wij twee avonden van 's werelds mooiste show mogen genieten. Het noorderlicht! Prachtig.

om het huis heb je (in de winter met sneeuw) weinig wandelmogelijkheden.

Fantastic views great hot tub comfortable stay.

The holiday home was perfect for us. It is in a gorgeous serene setting with majestic mountains immediately behind the house, and a beautiful tidal river in front. The kitchen was great for cooking and the beds were comfy. The hot tub was great, and the settings was magnificent. We walked up the foothills of the mountain behind us, right out our door; played hide and seek behind the boulders; played games in the bushland surrounding the house. It is a great family home.

The home is terrific. The only thing is there are too many chairs in the rooms; it is like the owners have been putting any extra chair into the holiday home and now it is too full. I would remove some of the chairs and make it feel less cluttered. There are only enough beds for four people, so they don't need to have all those chairs. But that is a very minor suggestion, not a complaint.

We had a great two-night stay. The location is spectacular. Wonderful views in all directions. The house fits the setting perfectly. You'll need a car, of course. It's a 10-minute drive to Borgarnes, with a nice bakery and a grocery store just over the bridge. The house has two bedrooms upstairs, with a small room on the main level that has a sofa-bed and a single bed outside the main bedroom (a somewhat odd placement, but useful if you need another bed). There is a bathroom with shower on the main level and a bathroom (no shower) upstairs. Other amenities: full kitchen, hot tub outside, washer and dryer, TV. Good communication with the host.

The bedrooms were a bit plain. A few more decorations would help. The steps of the stairs up to the bedrooms are not "deep" enough. That's just the way they were constructed.

The hot tub and the location

Everything was old and the things in there need to be replaced. I would have payed maybe half of what we payed. The sofa was old, too mny things in the livingroom that seem just to have been thrown in there, it was messy and just too old and in bad shape

Private, quiet location with fantastic views of mountain behind and river / fjord in front - we spent days watching the birds and the tides. Excellent wifi, TV & DVD & CD player - all helped to while away the time - we enjoyed staying still (in quarantine) House has everything you need - private parking, lovely hot tub, washing machine & tumble drier, well equipped kitchen 2 sofas (1 large L shaped, not pictured on Booking.com) and separate sofa bed in snug/3rd double bedroom Large open kitchen/dining/living room with large windows to 3 sides, so light and airy 10 mins from Bogarnes which has everything you need shopping /petrol etc and a health centre for 2nd Covid test Host Karl sent excellent directions

No microwave (but didn't need it)

Very nice, comfortable house for two families (4+3). Wonderful position with great view near Borgarnes.
