This was the ubud i was looking for! Zen and good vibes. Good safe location, just a short walk to the monkey forrest, Kajeng rice fields/ sweet orange walk trail, campuhan ridge walk, ubud art markets and city centre. Staff is amazing in this small villa complex! I highly recommend villa capung mas! What you see is what your get and more! + pool is amazing and clean + villas are amazing and clean +staff is nice and professional This should be a 4star + 5 star- place imo! If you never visited ubud before then i think this is what you thought it should be. +good wifi and nice villa terrace for that digital nomad work and cool cafes with wifi behind the corner for when you want to be social.

There was sometimes a sound in the attic like an animal walking.

We liked everything. The grounds are wonderful, very quiet and calming. The pool, exceptionally clean and not too warm. The villa was great with a large patio where one could get meals, tea and coffee every afternoon and drinks anytime. The staff was superb. Nothing was too much for them to do and it was always with smiles. A special shout-out to Gedey who gave us lots of local information and suggestions.

I loved the place. Location is pretty good, close to shops, activities and restaurants, but away from the traffic noise. Staff members are very kind, friendly and always with a smile to offer. The villa is huge and beautiful, bed and Pillows very comfortable, the room has everything you need, the toilet, shower and bath are just stunning, perfect for relaxing. THe view from the room is beautiful and peaceful. They provided mosquito repellent and travel adaptor Breakfast is so yummy and healthy, one morning we had to leave early for a tour before the breakfast time stars and they packed it to take away, it was great. The outdoors area is beautiful, surrounded by nature, rice fields, birds and waterfalls. We loved so much this place, is absolutely beautiful with an amazing atmosphere and great service. I would definitely come back and stay longer

The food. Got food poisoned with the Chicken Satay dish.

The staff is very welcoming, polite and respectful. They offer you straight away a welcome drink, and a map of Ubud with little phrases in Indonesian to go around. You can rent a scooter or any activity directly from reception. Breakfast is delicious (always a "main course", a plate of fresh fruits, a fruit drink (juice or smoothie) and coffee/tea), you can choose it the day before from their menu, very diverse. They deliver it to outside your room The pool is lovely, is a quiet area of the garden. The garden is beautiful, with ponds filled with fish, birds, frogs... The room is clean, large, with a bath + shower, with a seating area just outside each room for breakfast. They have a drinkable water fountain in the room also The location is very centered, close to the Palace and Art Market. Plenty of places for food around. You cannot drive up to the hotel with a car, you would need to be dropped off in the street, and then walk for about 3min. You can however drive with a scooter up to the hotel. We stayed 4 nights in Villa Capung Mas, it was a wonderful start to our Bali trip, highly recommend this hotel.

A pleasant, peaceful place with a beautiful garden - you live like in nature but actually just 10 minutes walk from the center of Udud. Good breakfast in the terrace. There are delicious and affordable warungs nearby. Our favorite was warung Gauri just 50m from hotel.

While we were there, they cut down a large tree that provided nice shade by the pool.

People are really nice and make us feel comfortable. Breakfast is served beatifully and tastes also good. Location is also perfect. Really near the center but quite and relaxing. Some insects are unavoidable since this place is out of jungle! but you will see how the hosts do their best to help you out. This is actually a good points too!

The property is located a bit back from the busiest street and therefore very quiet. The best part of the property is the staff, who are warm, welcoming and try their best to make guests having a good experience. The property grounds is beautifully designed and cared for. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bed is super large and comfortable as well.

The shower is a bit weak and the temperature unstable.

Our family had a great stay at Villa Capung Mas. it‘s a quiet and green place, but just 5 minutes to walk to the busy Jl. Bisma in Ubud. The stuff is very friendly and helps with everything

staff were a little too eager to help sometimes which was a little annoying every time we walked past the reception we would get chased down for a chat to ask if we were happy what we have been doing, what we want to do and if they can help with anything. nice but a bit full on sometimes

The staff were extremely welcoming, breakfast was good and could be ordered the day before at your choice of time, in your villa or at the terrace near the reception. We did not use the pool as it was raining! The Villa is within walking distance of the center of Ubud, with plenty of restaurants and shops around. The only problem was the distance between the road and the entrance of the villa; although beautiful, it was difficult with suitcases. Would love to go back when next in Ubud!

This is a small group of villa’s hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud’s main streets but less than 5 mins walk to bars and restaurants. The villa was nice and spacious and very clean with a gorgeous semi-outdoor bathroom and the staff were always very helpful and on hand whenever I needed anything. Nothing was too much bother for them. There are quite a lot of breakfast choices and they serve great Balinese coffee. I alternated each day between the omelette and the nasi goreng. Every afternoon they would also bring around a small afternoon tea which provided a nice little sugar hit when you’ve come back from a tour or a massage and you’re sitting by the pool.

This is not a bad thing but the villa is a little hard to find when you first arrive, especially at night. it is best to ask the taxi to park near the Guardian Pharmacy on JI Bisma. You then walk down the laneway diagonally opposite the pharmacy. At the end turn left and then first right down the path through the rice fields to the villa.

it was a fabulous location right in the heart of Ubud. When you were back at Capung Mas you felt like there was nothing around you. So peaceful.

Wow. 5 star staff! They were all so helpful and sweet with all our requests. Really one of the best we've had in Bali. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. Very close to the center but secluded and quiet. Great breakfast menu.

The shower was tricky, either very hot or cold, was hard to find that sweet spot.

you might mention that you have to walk into the property. it’s just a short walk but if you are not aware, you don’t know.

the property is in a good location. Close to the main temple and within walking distance of lots of restaurants. It is handy yo have your own scooter.

It felt a little “run down” and abandoned. I’m guessing this is due to covid. The rooms surrounding the pool were under construction and in a state of complete demolition. I did not use the pool. On the two occasions I wandered down to the pool there were no towels out on the sun beds so I decided not to swim. The pool area needed some general attention / upkeep. The bed was extremely firm, even by Asian standards. The staff were very attentive but I didn’t particularly like being asked what I was doing everyday and pressed for a response. The eggs Benedict were stone cold on the first morning. I ordered scrambled eggs the following day and they were hot. the breakfasts were certainly nothing to write home about. I chose to eat out 2 of the 4 mornings.

Perfect location in Ubud, near the main streets but in a quiet area through rice paddys. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom area. We spent 2 afternoons laying by the pool in the comfy sunbeds (with free afternoon tea of Bali sweets! yum!) after a busy morning itinerary. The manager was very attentive and made sure to give us daily local info (such as the Independence day parade). The breakfast was good.

Some of the villas look like they're mid-way through renovations. So some of grounds around the renovated villas were untidy with stacks of tiles.

Very nice private cottages in a very beautiful and quiet tropical garden with al lot of water and big swimming-pool in the middle of the rice fields and this almost in the center of Ubud ! And the service and especially the breakfast was also extraordinary. We would love to come back. Emmy & Ben
