Lovely pool, room and was only a 5 minute walk from the pier

Nothing really, just the 500baht deposit for the room key incase you lost it. Seems abit strange to me. Why not just charge people if they’ve lost it instead of making everyone pay a deposit upfront straight away

Good staff Great location

When we arrived, we got a small, dark room full of mosquitoes. Also, there was the mold on the wall and the full room was musty. So we decided to go to the reception and ask for another room. The next room was much bigger and pretty nice but the smell was musty as well. What's more the walls were like a paper and we heard all the noise so it was hard to fall asleep. Furthermore,the beaches were dirty so we decided to leave Phi Phi a day earlier.

DO NOT stay at this hotel. You will be charged an unexpected 500thb fee at check in, by unpleasant staff, the shower is salt water (very unpleasant) during checkout, they told us our pillow case was dirty so we would be charged 200 bhat which made no sense as you pay for a hotel to clean the room… after 30 minutes of going back and forth saying why would we pay 200 bhat to clean a pillow case they said it won’t come out in a wash, we then took the pillow case, gave it a quick rinse in the toilet and showed them how easily a little mark would come out. Again, they said, no there’s still marks and we then continued to say yes we’re not going to hand wash a pillow case we are paying for you to wash it. after constant going back and forth, them saying we will charge you they then said no problem we will clean it and have our deposit back. This made no sense, what are we supposed to go clean the entire laundry of a hotel room to get a deposit back? Highly suggest people stay far from this hotel, from the moment we checked in, it was a headache. much better places in Phi Phi

The swimming pool is nice. The room was big, charming and very well decorated. The bathroom was also big. The attention was great as well.

The safe in the room was not working.

Location, its small island but its conveniently close to the centre of phi phi but further enough away from the party areas. Felt it was on the most suitable side if the island for me, close to dive centre and away from beach with the busy nightlife.

Clean hotel in a good location.

- Cash deposit required upon arrival and then a list of every item in the room broken down by cost in case of damages. I understand the idea of a security deposit, but it felt like they were trying to find any way to get money from us. - At check out, staff must check your room to ensure no damages/the minibar. You then get your security deposit back. Found this very bizarre. - Shower had very little pressure and didn’t get hot. Sink had no temperature controls either. We stayed in hostels in Thailand that have had better basic amenities than this. - Air conditioning in the room was quite noisy. - Woken by staff early every morning running up and down the corridor talking on very loud walkie talkies.

The a.c in the room was making loud noises in the middle of the night like a hard cracking sound every hour. Something to check maybe. Otherwise everything was perfect !

ChaoKoh Phi Phi Hotel and Resort was such an amazing place to stay! The room was spacious, the bed was MASSIVE and the staff even decorated our room with 'Happy Anniversary' balloons for our anniversary. All of the staff were amazing and super helpful. Including the front desk, house keeping and even the lovely staff who collected and dropped our bags (this in particular was very much appreciated, being Koh Phi Phi is an island and can be quite maze like with the many streets! We definitely would have gotten lost finding the resort the first time). Overall we loved our stay here and will 100% be rebooking the next time we visit Koh Phi Phi.

Room Type: Superior Double Room with Garden View. Room: 403. Breakfast Included. Period of Stay: 10th to 13th December 2022. Cost of room £328.00 Hotel Location: Great, almost on the beach. Reception Area: Open, spacious and inviting, but the enjoyment stops there. Check in: This was a new experience, straight away we were informed that we had to pay 500 Baht deposit for the key. We were then handed a list of all the charges if we "lost" or "damaged" any of the items in the room, very welcoming! Room: The room was very small, dark, damp and in need of decorating and updating. Security for the room was poor, cheap single lever locks on flimsy patio doors. Sound insulation through the walls and ceiling was non existent. Our lovely considerate neighbors above us were constantly banging on our ceiling from early evening until early morning. Room Location: Terrible, the cleaners stored all of their equipment and rubbish right next to our balcony. Two doors down was the cleaners main storage area and meeting point. The staff generally are extremely noisy, shouting and talking at each other from around 7 am every morning, it was as if they were in the room with us. Bathroom: The bathroom was tiny, the smallest I have ever come across. Water pressure in the shower was shockingly bad and we rarely had any hot water. Only given one roll of super thin toilet paper and you had to ask for a new one every time you ran out. Restaurant: Breakfast only, the menu was quite limited but the quality of the food was excellent. The location of the restaurant is directly on the beach and offers stunning views. WiFi: WiFi was offered hotel wide but it was just about non existent, disconnecting continually. Average download speeds once connected were around 0.5 to 1.5 Mbps for the duration of our stay. I purchased a SIM card in the end.

Central hotel, nice rooms, beds are hard and you need to leave a deposit of 500BHT in case you lose your key card but the smell from the bathroom is utterly disgusting, even with the door closed and the toilet lid down, it was unbearable. We were on the ground floor (room 606) and I felt sick every time I went into the room, it’s not good for your health having to smell savage, this island is too small for the number of people on it. Phi Phi is not representative of the beautiful islands Thailand has to offer, it’s just a low class over developed tourist dump that smells. If you have to come here, come out of season.

A very good location, no need of an additional transport from the pier. Wide and comfortable room, towel sculptures, comfy bed. Nice pool and its area. Flowers and garden are beautiful. Some cats are stranding. Lovely experience, will come back again.

Air conditioning has turned off in the middle of the night. Woke up due to the heat. But it's nothing, all the rest was pretty good.

Good size room which was clean. Great location close to beach and restaurants and bars. Lovely staff who left us chocolate as a Christmas present on Christmas Day!!

Drain in bathroom didn't work very well which led to bathroom partially flooding after shower. We were provided pool towels instead of normal towels one day after pur room was cleaned.

initial room smelt of drains however the staff were really good and as soon as I raised it they moved our room

- a little shabby - water heater didn’t work and we asked staff to fix it (they did but it works loudly and disturbs sleep) - SPA is out off hotel territory
