very well equipped, comfortable apartment close to the Bach, shops and restaurant.

The property is exactly what you need for a family trip with 4-5 people. The location is 40 metres from the beach in a small town of Plakias. You can take a nice evening walk along the beach and eat in many of the local restaurants on the coast which are within 3-5 min walk. The large beach in town is nice and clean, there is also another small beach behind the small port with rocks where kids were able to see and catch many fish and crabs, even octopus - it is super there if you like to snorkel. Another advantage of Plakias is that it is centrally located on the southern coast, so you can travel both east and west if you have a rented car, and within 40 minutes you can get to many beautiful beaches (Fragokastello, Triopetra), and within 10 minutes drive there are other 5-6equipped beaches with very nice and clean water. These beaches never get too busy which we really liked. Beaches in the north, especially those that we liked (east of Rethymno town), as they were not too busy, are within 45 minutes drive as well. Note that the southern coast is much less touristic and less developed, and therefore more quiet and nicer and next time we travel to Crete, we would again go for the southern coast. We also rented mountain bikes in Plakias and used it a lot - the steep hills are in all the directions from Plakias. Maria, the host at the property, was very helpful, the apartment was cleaned for us twice a week, there is a washing machine, coffee machine, very comfortable beds, very well functioning air-conditioning in all the rooms which gets the normal temperature in few minutes, fridge and freezer, kitchen equipment, big table where we played board games in the evenings. The apartment looked nice on the pictures and it fully met our expectations, everything seems to be completely new. We got a little present from Maria at the beginning and then end - bottle of wine, fruits, juices, home-made olive oil ;o) Maria also helped us to arrange one more bed to the property.

Nothing to mention - it was all perfect, both location and apartment.

Spacious, clean, nicely presented, well equipped, daily rubbish removal and midweek linen change. Two large balconies, so always sun or shade available. Very conveniently located.

Only negative is unimpressive external aspect and view over large parking area in front of property (although mountains and sea are also in the view!).

Great location and great hosts. The apartment was exactly what we were looking for; well appointed, spacious, modern and clean. Very pleased with our stay.
