You will have to negotiate a few miles of narrow Devon lanes to get there, but it’s worth it!

We enjoyed our time there so much. Nicola and her husband were very welcoming, it all felt more like visiting friends than staying in anonymous accommodation. The room amenities are sensational, there are bathrobes, slippers, shampoo, shower gel, cream etc all available, as well as a super lovely set of snacks and teas. We especially liked the heat lamp in the shower. For breakfast you should bring some time, because Nicola prepares it fresh every morning (according to the choice you made the night before) and together with her husband takes the time to talk with the guests. The location is a very good base for touring Dartmoor. This was the best place to stay on our travels around England and if we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely stay here again.

It could be a little cleaner in the bath (dust, spiders). I was a little cold, but I freeze easily and if I had asked if the heating could be turned on, Nicola would have done it for sure, so it's my own fault (heaters are in the room and in the bath).

Great central location. Lovely facilities and host. Good breakfast. Had the quirky but superb studio.

Definitely in the country, directions supplied were spot on. A perfect location for a bit of peace & quiet. Nicola our host was extremely helpful and made the stay a great place to be.

Nicola and Kerry are excellent hosts and go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. The room was extremely good value and their attention to detail and provision of many 'useful little extras' all combined to exceed my expectations. The full English breakfast was also excellent.

A minor point but a choice of fresh juices would have been welcome at breakfast.

Wonderful setting, clean and comfortable room with very thoughtful touches such as binoculars and bird watching book. Warm and welcoming hosts, delicious breakfast with lots of choice. Couldn’t ask for more from the hosts.

Absolutely wonderful nights stay at East Hillerton House. We arrived late afternoon and was greeted by our host Nicola. So friendly and welcoming. The most comfortable nights sleep I have had in a long time! Stunning views, incredible breakfast and wonderfully attentive hosts who made sure we didn’t want for anything. Will definitely be returning soon!

Stunning property. Perfect location away from everyone. A really beautiful experience. A perfect place to leave your troubles behind. The owners went above and beyond to cater to our needs. The home was clean, cosy and has everything you’d need for your stay. The breakfast was really very nice and definitely filling. East Hillerton house is a definite must stay for anyone looking for comfort, love, luxury, a little tranquility and breathtaking views. very clean. all mods and cons available should you forget something they had them in the suite. (iPad chargers to plasters etc). the house itself is exceptional you can see the owners have done a great job refurbishing the entire property inside and out! they are friendly and made you feel welcome and relaxed as soon as you arrive! location for me personally was good because I like the peace and quiet. the breakfast cannot fault. you have a menu to choose from, and you can pick your time slot. the little touches just make your stay that little bit extra special. for the price of the area very reasonable. I would recommend anyone from solo person staying to families. lots of space, comfy beds, showers are great. not forgetting the views with some lovely welcoming birds whilst you have breakfast!

The Location is Great right in the heart of Devon and only a few minutes from Dartmoor National Park and the A30 so easy access to both.The house has wonderful views across the Devon countryside from the Breakfast Room where you can enjoy the fantastic breakfast and wildlife in the garden.Nicola and Kerry are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble with an attention to detail you would expect at a 5 star Hotel!
