Very good location, off street parking and very friendly and helpful staff. Even gave us a late checkout. Beds were pretty comfortable and the sheets were clean

Was overpriced for what we got. Extremely old house so everything was old and cracked and no amount of cleaning was going to make it look clean. The carpet was super old and smelled a little bit. There were white stains on the duvet cover which grossed me out and also a couple on the curtains. The advert said we'd have access to sky but that wasn't three case. It wasn't a smart TV either so.no access to anything other than regular TV.

The owners were very friendly and the cleaner was delightful. It just seems like they need to spend more time and care on their motel.

They advertise Sky, but don't have it. There was no dishcloth or dishwasher liquid, no smoke alarm, the header tank was overflowing and it took till the evening for it to be repaired. The lawns were disgraceful, they were mowed after I complained, but full of holes, nearly twisted my ankle. There was rubbish bags and stuff left lying about. The queen sized bed was missing a leg and if you sat on the corner you ended up on your butt on the ground.

Didn't request breakfast. There was no toaster in room until we spoke to the lovely lady cleaner.

Cleaning. Batteries in smoke alarm who have been good! No Batteries in the TV remote. No body wash in shower or bathroom. Long lawns were mowed after first 2 days. They were looking neglected.

Nothing really, we brought our own breakfast. No cutlery or crockery for 3 guests, we had to eat in ‘shifts’. Very disappointing really, shame on booking com for listing facilities that are non existent.

Get new owners and managers that knowabout customer service and running motels. I mean, reception was shut most of the day despite the advertised reception hours. Urgent contact was non existent, i even tried emailing the.

Location was really the only positive that we could find.

The rooms are dank, mouldy and unkemt. The smell in our room would not go away. Our couch had blankets stuffed under the cover as we presume the springs were poking through but wouldn't sit on it anyway as it was filthy. The dining chairs had so much food staining and residue on them that you wouldn't want to sit on them. All in all not the greatest experience.

The couch was ripped and had crumbs all over it, the towels had marks all over them, the windows have black mold, the lawns were long not much pride being taken in the property. They have long term residents and they played loud music it was not very pleasant. I will never stay there again.

The staff member we dealt with was very lovely and helpful and apologetic for the room conditions and did her best to make our stay pleasant. The bed in Unit 15 was very comfortable.

The two bedroom room we were meant to have is not really livable. The conditions inside were not acceptable, with a very strong overpowering mould smell. There were marks all over the walls, broken handles everywhere, mould all around the windows and on the wall under the lifted wallpaper. We requested a refund and the hostess was very apologetic and gave us two studio units instead. There are permanent residents living there, not sure but it looked like it could be emergency housing. The grounds are very unkempt, not like the photos advertise. Across the 3 units each one was lacking in basic essentials, having only 1 dinner plate, 1-2 forks etc. The live-in residents living next to unit 1 had quite a late night party, it was very hard to get to sleep!

Nobody was at reception when we arrived. There was no organisation in management. The double bed had blood stains on the coverlet, there were holes in the curtains and the room smelt old and damp. It's by far the worst room I have booked in Christchurch and not by any means cheap.

Convenient access to central locations of interest. Clean rooms all we asked for was somewhere decent to sleep. Quiet located on a main road and couldn't hear busy traffic. Families around were quiet and respectful a asset to the Lodge. Value for money.

Just needed one more electrical plug.

location was good . They upgraded us to a 2 bedroom unit which was good.

unit is pretty dated but did the job.
