The location is excellent, just at the U-bahn station. There are bistros around.

Rooms: The rooms are underequipped. The tv screen is small and unreasonably far away from the bed. The closets and hinges are old and don't open well. There was no hairdryer in the room, daily supply of shampoo was poor. The inner and outer sound insulation is very bad; One can hear the noises from the train outside and people talking in the corridor. Some electrical sockets in the room have problems with voltage - electric devices charge extremely slowly or not at all. Breakfast: I was missing scrambled eggs and some fruit. Wifi: extremely slow, such that some interactive websites won't function properly.

Room could have been a bit bigger. Breakfast was good. The staff was very helpful. They also let us keep our luggage in the hotel storage room after checkout. Overall okay stay.

WiFi was present but the speed was very slow. Also, the rooms didn’t have slippers. The soap was not changed for the next day.

I liked it was cheap, with breakfast and very clean! :) Everything you need.

There was dead bugs on the ground. The windows are not noise proof, you hear everything from the street..

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was not outstanding, but was actually better than I expected it would be. The U-Bahn was right next door, but that meant, for me, hearing the trains go by at all hours.

I travel a lot, and since I travel alone, I generally try to keep within a certain budget of what I need to pay for an accommodations per night, and this hotel exceeded this budget by far but without offering facilities that justified the price. I chose to stay at the Central Hotel is due to its proximity to a weekend event I was attending. Firstly, except for the close proximity to the U-Bahn station (I heard the trains quite clearly from my room) the location of the hotel is rather isolated and boring. There was no air conditioning and my room was located on the side of the building that caught the morning sun, so staying in bed long meant trying to sleep in an increasingly hot room. For the nightly price, I would expect the room to have a kettle for making hot water for coffee or tea. I would also expect the amenities to include a little more than just one mini soap bar and one mini shampoo packet. I would have preferred the possibility to share a double occupancy room with another friend also attending the same weekend event, but the double occupancy rooms were only furnished with one larger bed with no option for a room with two twin beds (I was told there were a few rooms with twin beds but it could not be guaranteed that I would get one).

I booked months in advance, and turned up all 3 rooms were single (instead of double as booked). The staff were trying to delay talking about it, and in the end we did not get a refund of the difference, or anything. We were offered a bottle of drink, even as we were over 50€ short. The entire place stinks of cigarettes, and the breakfast was a joke.

The beds and pillows were really uncomfortable. It was super hot and there was no air condition in the room. The cleaning staff never changed towels. Also, they never replaced finished toilet rolls or hand washing soap unless we asked for it.
