Easy access to property and well signposted. Excellent clean warm rooms for a chilly winter evening. Staff very welcoming and an absolute pleasure to stay in

lovely old style hotel, with lovely helpful staff, good food, good atmosphere and a great location!

We were in room 7, the road noise was bad through the night, it is above the kitchen so the noise of the extractor fans are disturbing early morning! The room was too hot, and the bed was so uncomfortable, made worse by the plastic mattress protector🥵

A lovely hotel. The staff at the hotel were fantastic. Thank you for looking after us, especially for your patience when I was unwell. It is a great base to stay when visiting a town with a lot of heritage and character.

This is second time we have stayed here and again we had a lovely stay. It's in a good location for walking around hexham. Breakfast was lovely.

Great location, very helpful staff. The manager was extremely helpful when we had to alter our stay due to a family issue.

Very attentive staff, room was immaculate with attention to detail - nice selection of biscuits, herbal tea etc. I had dinner there and it was the best scampi I have ever had.

The rooms where spotless,lovley white fluffy towels and plenty of condiments , staff where brilliant very friendly and helpful would defo stay there again if in the town .

Staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for me. Room was very clean and comfortable. Amazing breakfast.

Although the breakfast was fantastic, unfortunately my evening meal was a little disappointing. I opted for the homemade steak and ale pie, but this was nuked in the microwave. Part of the pie was rock hard.

The staff were very accommodating, absolutely anything we asked for or needed was not a problem. We were given a lovely welcome and even though we checked in late and it was approaching 9pm we were assured that ordering dinner was still fine. We were in a large party all attending a family wedding and the day was made extra special because the staff went that extra mile to ensure everything we needed we got. When the taxi bus didn't have enough space for one of us to get to the wedding the hotel staff sorted another taxi, even saying if they couldn't get a taxi they would drive themselves!

We didn't like having to check out! I honestly cannot fault any aspect of our stay, its a superb hotel 👌.

Amazing. So friendly. Particularly the duty manager with the beard and the shorter waitress with the boyfriend who has a Belgian malinois.

absolutely immaculate! modern, and nicely decorated. had several bubble baths whilst we were staying. deluxe room had extra touches which made it feel even more special. breakfast was superb! definitely stay again!

we only stayed 1 night. would like to stay longer next time and dine there for an evening meal.

Room was very comfortable and lots of little extras, which were a nice touch, e.g extra toiletries, bottled water plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk in the room. Breakfast was very nice and tasty. plenty of choice of cereals and hot food choices. staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
