We absolutely loved our stay at Alojamento ar e sol which deserves extra points! The owners, Gretti & Joao are so friendly & welcoming that we felt like valued guests. They also provided helpful information for our onward travel. This accommodation is immaculately clean, wifi works perfectly & there is off-street parking. We slept well as the beds are comfortable & we did not hear any road noise. We chose to have dinner at the ‘guests only’ restaurant & were very impressed with the food, price & service. We could actually order vegetarian which is rare in Portugal! The included breakfast was also of good quality. The price is cheap for the quality provided & we thoroughly recommend this accommodation!

Breakfast is very basic. The room is very narrow with too less space for a family. They should not accept 4 persons in such a small room.

Very friendly people, ready to serve in any way. Even though they had their own restaurant they kept our take away food in the fridge, as well as our wine and provided us with plates and covers so we could eat behind the house in the patio. Delightful people, comfortable room and top service

The food in the owners restaurant open late upstairs was delicious. Very, very nice and friendly hosts. Thank you. Got all the help we asked for. Room cleaned every day.

The room itself is not too big, we had a lot of luggage lying around and it was hard to manuvre around within the room for us. But if you have only 1 or 2 bags then there's no problem.

The personal service and welcome provided by the hosts Gretti and Joao in what is a small family run hotel, was second to none. There were no problems with parking our car on the hotels own car park. Breakfast was basic but adequate. If you have dinner on the Saturday and you like fish ask Gretti to buy the salmon from the market - excellent, as was the Portuguese red wine that was served and the local bottled beers. English is spoken as are other languages (French etc)

Everything, the owners were ultra friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is exceptionally clean with a good breakfast selection and very reasonable dinner all freshly made in house.

super nice hosts. they stayed up late, until almost midnight, for me to check-in to their hotel....while i was on the road coming back from the douro valley. the rooms were very clean, they upgraded my room (even though i did not ask) because they had it available. approximately 8+ parking spots on the property. great value for the money.

Excellent facilities for an excellent price with breakfast included. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The beds were a little to hard for my linking but that can be personal.
