Vacation

We stayed a week in August and it was absolutely perfect! The house was cozy and had everything we needed. We brought our Great Dan puppy and enjoyed lots of walks, seeing all the deer (SO many deer!!!). Sally was a pleasure to work with!

What an amazing location. Wildlife everywhere, and a beautiful deck to enjoy it from! House has everything you need! Skylights in the living room provide light, truly amazing! I can’t say enough!

Nice, relaxing family getaway in a nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed watching the deer and turkeys that strolled through every day. Great location for everything we planned, lots of hiking trails to choose from.

Super cozy cottage in a very quiet area. It was very convenient to wineries, state parks and other areas to explore. Sally was very responsive to my inquiries and a great host. We'll be back!

Nice spot to enjoy nature. The back porch was a pleasure to eat breakfast and listen to the birds. Even enjoyed listening to the rain from inside the cozy house! My nature loving city dog approved.

I stayed at this property the entire summer 2022 and consider myself lucky to be able to escape the crazy city life. Best part of the house is an amazing back porch with the view of the forest with just the right amount of shade. House, small from the outside, but yet big enough to fit my entire family on the weekends. It has the pocono rustic vacation charm. Sally (the owner) was always available for any issues I had over the 3 months period. I was at the boulder lake beach every opportunity I had and enjoyed my inflatable paddle board in addition to swimming. It’s only 7 minutes away by car. I used the Fireplace in June during some cold nights. House has everything you need; just bring your toothbrush and enjoy. .

Great place for a weekend in the Poconos. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We loved exploring the woods and creek behind the house with my daughter and our dog. It was a great location to easily get to Camelback and Jack Frost for the day. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Very nice rental property. The house was very clean and extremely cozy. Quiet location, very relaxing. The kids and dog enjoyed running up and down to the creek in the backyard. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and was a pleasure to communicate with. We would definitely rent this home again.

Perched on the side of a hill, this sweet little cabin is the perfect quiet escape. A short drive from hiking, restaurants, breweries and snow activities. My family was able to enjoy games and snacks by the fire and explore the backyard & all its wildlife.

great place and location

We had a great long weekend at the Chickadee House. The house was clean and had everything you would need to settle in. Felt very homey and cozy, and we loved sitting by the fireplace—with propane fire easy on/off. Plus the house backs up to a forest so it was very peaceful and quiet during our stay. Host Sally checked in before and after our stay and was available if we needed anything—which we didn’t! We would love to return. Thank you!

It was delightful and the deer and turkeys made it so much fun! The laundry had not been done so we washed the towels before we used them.

I was looking for a quiet place to unwind. This house fit the bill. The house has a nice back deck that overlooks a small forest of trees which provided plenty of privacy. I was able to watch deer ambling by very close to the house. The nearest neighbors were still far enough away that there were no privacy concerns. The house has a small foot print but there was plenty of room and the bedrooms were comfortable. Sally, the owner, was very responsive to questions.

We had a great stay here. There are so many things to do around the area, and the community itself is very nice. Get ready to see a LOT if deer too.

We rented this home for myself, husband, and adult children. They attend the annual Skirmish paintball tournament and although they camp at the venue for the main event, they join me and our dog for dinner and comfortable beds the night before and after. The house was very clean, had everything we needed, and was convenient to restaurants and stores. The neighborhood is peaceful and a great place to walk the dog. Communication with the owner was excellent with prompt response when we had questions. Definitely recommend!

My wife & I had an excellent stay at this house. The house was extremely clean & felt just like home. the neighborhood was very quite & tranquil. Every morning & evening you can sit on the deck and watch the deer walk through. And on our final morning we had the excitement of seeing a black bear walk through the woods in the back. Very much recommended for a vacation stay place.

The description was accurate, close to the raceway which was our destination.

This was a really lovely place to stay! Gorgeous property, clean, comfy, and had everything we needed and then some. It's in the Poconos but also near enough to regular stores that you don't feel stranded. Love that there is a washer/dryer in the home! Really cozy. Sally is wonderful and super responsive too. Definitely recommend!

My two sons and I had a truly wonderful and relaxing visit. The woods that backed up to the property was just the kind of solitude I was hoping for. The house was a perfect size (not too big, not too small) and equipped with what was necessary. We enjoyed watching tv by the propane fireplace. The place was very clean and there was minimal decor, which I always appreciate at a rental. All around a great trip!

Perfect place. 4 adults two kids, 6 and. 8. Went skiing at Jack Frost for 3 days. Super clean, convenient and Sally was very responsive.

Adorable homey mountain house to stay and get away for the weekend. Able to use owner's Netflix, Prime and along with other sources of entertainment. Everything was easy to find and user friendly. Would stay at this house again! Very lovely home!

It was a home away from home for sure. Very cozy and perfect for us. Host Sally was great . It was easy. Our only disappointment way the distance to Blue Mountain. Its says its 12.2 miles away but it was actually 21 miles away which is a lot . Other then that it was great!

Every thermostat was on off why we arrived at 6:30 pm on Friday. Temperature in the house was 37 degrees. Fireplace never came on. I hope my granddaughter doesn’t get sick. We slept in our clothes that night
