The breakfast on the beach was magic, all staff members were of great help. Located in the best part of the island (Matira). It's a real good value, I recommend it

The gardens were very well kept, all the rooms are across a small road from the main reception & beach front only a small walk, the beds are very uncomfortable, the rooms are dated but OK for the price, there's a mini fridge & kettle & AC, breakfast is very good, Tip if you like fried eggs you have to ask the girls and they will make them you get 2 on the plate if you like them over easy just ask. There's a small mini mart 1 minute up the road, sells everything you need, we use to get fresh baguettes ham cheese to make our sandwiches at lunchtime. Dinner There's some good restaurants 5-10 minutes up the road, however the food at the hotel is good. It's very expensive in Bora Bora, pizza chips, burger & chips for 2 with 2 cokes average £50. alcohol is very expensive. The private beach is beautiful, the sea was around 29c and lots of fish to see, we seen, mata rays well we we're there & a turtle, reef sharks, take a kayak out for 2 hours costing 20$ & take a short trip to go snorkelling just off the edge of the small island. Tip look for the I love Bora Bora on the sea bed when snorkelling. Tip, hire a boat 2 seater or 4, you don't need a licence, I would recommend 4 seater its got lots of room, you can take your self right around the island, we took packed lunch & dropped anchor in a lovely shallow bay stopped for lunch they were lots of manta rays and stingrays everywhere, It was amazing, its the best thing we did, to book walk 10 minutes up the road is the hire shop.

Great hotel at good price, lush gardens, good breakfast and food, nice rooms with tea,/coffee, loved how the hotel seems to take care of the kitties at the grounds , lovely atmosphere all around not too busy too while there

The snorkel at the beach was dissapointing compared to previous hotels, small area too , no bath in room just shower

Very comfortable little hotel. Reminded me of the hotel I stayed in My first trip to Bora Bora in 1989. Perfect location, friendly Staff, nice breakfast included. Restaurant with three meal service and a small Bar. They have kayaks and bicycles to rent. Market is a one minute walk. Many restaurants within walking. If you're looking for the fancy resort amenities this is not the place. I think it's perfect! I will definitely stay again.

everything was good except one thing…

people allowed to smoke while others were dining was a huge disappointment my daughter and I had to move tables on numerous occasions…everything else was good but if I had of known smoking was allowed would not have stayed at this hotel

The location is great and the staff is over the top !!! It’s a little dated room , ok in cleanliness but I’m pretty much have high standards for cleanliness . The rooms are across the street from the lodge . But it’s a bang for your buck .

The pool was small - they need to trim bushes by the pool so you can see the ocean . It would be good for them

The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The AC works perfectly. The WiFi is excellent. Staff is always very welcoming. We love the beach and pool area. The restaurant and bar are great. We love the location. We stay here frequently and will certainly return again.

Polynesian buffet was a bit disappointing.

I wrote a rave review of Royal Bora Bora after my last stay there, and I loved it again this time. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable rooms, beautiful grounds fantastic beach and lagoon, and friendly, polite fellow guests! Also, a wonderful, huge breakfast buffet with delicious French toast (pain perdu).

The ONLY thing I could complain about this time is the noise of the roosters crowing. But they are all over French Polynesia. The Royal Bora Bora was unique in being magically free of them when I stayed there last year, but it seems the roosters moved back in since then. Bring earplugs to French Polynesia, wherever you stay!

The location (close to Matira Beach), very nice hotel beach suitable for perfect snorkelling!, nice rooms and service, nice staff.

There is built a small lake in the middle of the hotel arrea and that´s why we had many mosquito bites.
