We stayed in this hotel in August. We loved everything about it..the service..the room overlooking the square.. the food...the atmosphere. The hallmark of this hotel is service. The old fashioned attention to detail was a very welcome attribute in today's world. Our evening meal in the smaller dining room was beautiful. The ladies who cleaned our room were so kind and charming as were the people at the desk. The hotel was central to everything as the train station was only a short walk away. We certainly hope to be back soon.

The breakfast could do better with the hot food Scrambled egg and bacon every morning gets boring just change it with a bit of variety

Top location right on a lively square, stately Grand Hotel with charm, spacious room with high ceiling and wonderful rain shower. Parking with cheap hotel card everywhere nearby (blue lines) and delicious breakfast (including fresh fruit). Friendly hotel employees and nice (relative small) swimming pool.

Coffee at breakfast is not very good, although they offer for a bit more excellent coffee (2,50).

The hotel is in a wonderfully central location. We decided not to hire a car as it was so near the train station however there were track works during our stay so no trains. We managed with buses and the funicular and we used a small local business to hire a car for a day. We were initially unhappy with our room as we booked a quadruple with a cot but there was not enough room for us all in the room. The staff we incredibly helpful and upgraded us to 2 rooms as soon as they could. The staff were fantastic the whole way through our stay. The breakfast was also very good and my kids loved the pool.

The facilities in the rooms could do with updating.

The room was very dirty and not up to date. There was mould on the ceiling because it was dripping down with water. No employees seemed to care about it. The double bed was two mattresses that were put together. It needed a more thorough cleaning. There was blood stains on the side of the bed. You could hear your neightbors very clearly. The building is clearly old and needs renovation. From the outsider it looks really classy but unfortunately, it does not live up to what you call normal hotel standards. I do not recommend staying here :/

Beautiful hotel with helpful staff. Room was large and opened to a terrace. Very nice pool. Location great right on main square. 2 dinners served for our tour and both outstanding.

Internet not reliable. Noise from street but ok with windows closed - not fault of hotel.

Location as far as being close to things was very good. Breakfast was very good.

Website said there was air conditioning. There wasn’t,so at night one had to open windows because room was hot & stuffy but noise & music in piazza was so loud & went on until nearly 2am so could not sleep.

the hotel was very tired…. most all worn out couches. beds were old and saggy. got back aches. floors w old rugs etc. was moldy. musty smelling said AC in hotel. but explained it only turned on as heat reaches a certain temp. very uncomfortable. glad I asked for a fan. Breakfast was fine. we’ve had much better for the price we paid. also rooms were very noisy.. next door, above. if of piazza. LOUD people and music late into night. disturbing when trying to sleep. other than location. rate this hotel poor.

We have stayed here before as the location is perfect. Right downtown on the square. We booked a superior room and after questioning the room they gave us they corrected it easily to give us the room upgrade. Recommend the room upgrade. Breakfast very good.

The old fashioned room, and the general organisation of the reception... like in the movie "The grand Budapest Hotel".

1) The organisation of the breakfast was a little messy (long queue). 2) The price of the room was too high.

Central location and great value for money. Good variety for breakfast and staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Valentina on reception and the pool staff. I would recommend this hotel and I would return again.

Breakfast was great, the staff were very friendly and knew the area well and the location was superb!
