Nice Riad, comfortable beds and good breakfast

I offered this stay at Riad Saltana to my parents, for my dad's birthday and their anniversary, based on their feedback, they enjoyed their stay, the staff was so nice, the room had everything they needed, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was pretty rich and nutritious, thanks to the staff for taking care of my parents! Would definitely recommend this place.

The host Geraldine gave us a warm welcome and took time to answer all our questions.
Location is excellent in the heart of the Medina, also close to bus station. View from rooftop is spectacular, although the wind meant we could not spend too long up there!
Sea view from our 'sea view' room was quite minimal. But we loved the bathroom complete with robes and an amazing shower! It was like a hammam in our room.

Riad Saltana is in a fantastic location in the Medina. Breakfast on the balcony looking over the Atlantic is a treat. The host Geraldine is a fire cracker who is able to share lots of information. The rooms were impeccably cleaned every day. A good base to explore the local area.
The mattress could have been more comfortable. And it felt a shame that the fruit at breakfast didn't reflect the quality you could find shopping in the Medina.

Geraldine was very welcoming and helpful, particularly when we arrived giving us an excellent lunch recommendation. Breakfast was excellent, offering a generous selection of food and drinks. The view from our room was ok, there was technically a "sea view" however it was mostly obstructed by surrounding buildings. The terrace/balcony was an excellent place for breakfast and to sunbathe on a quiet afternoon.
The bathroom smelled a little damp and the shower was sometimes only just warm. One of the pillows on the bed was uncomfortable however the staff were helpful and would have swapped it had we been staying for more than two nights.

Superb location, simple old riad, no frills, very clean and friendly staff keen to assist in any way. Would stay here again.
Water pressure is good in shower, but could be hotter.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Great terrace, but could have had a bit more shade. Great location, very close to the sea, you can hear the waves.
Very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was tasty and filling.
Water pressure in the bathroom was not so good, this is really still fine and manageable.

WiFi connection was poor, loud construction noise until very late in the evening (not the fault of the property) but still disturbing

Great location, amazing view from terrace! Room was cozy and comfy, felt really good. Very good bed, so had a great sleep! Would for sure return and recommend.
All was good, except towels and linens maybe, wasn’t best clean and fresh, but that’s just a small point compared to pluses.

Location, big room and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast quite quite basic, we had to remain so quiet we couldn´t even speak in the room, just whispering. Otherwise we could be called out. Maybe they could invest more in proper doors because I couldn´t even wantch a movie on the laptop. I guess people stay there just and exclusively to sleep.

Great location, nice big room with sea views and staff are so lovely and super helpful
had a bit of trouble with the front door lock, which we now know works by giving the door a bit of a pull. It was all good though as the proprietors of the local restaurant, and shop, came to our rescue and we made some new friends 😁

Geraldine is a great host! She did her very best to make our stay as plesant as possible. We could ask her on anything and she always had a great recommendation for us!
The Riad in general is cute. The rooftop where breakfast is served is lovely, the view is amazing. The whole atmosphere at Riad Saltana is very open and we felt welcomed!

I loved the view from the terrace, you get a panoramic view of essaouira and the sea, the room was perfectly clean, very comfortable and nicely furnished. There were no sounds from outside a part from the sound of the sea!
Very good position, right in the Centre of the Medina, 5 minutes From the main beach.
Everyone was kind and always available for any need.
I recommend it!
The only thing that could be changed is the lock on the main door, just a bit tricky to open but everything else was great.
