breakfast and the spa
We were laced in the annex building, although we were not told about this when booking.
We had a room with 2 single beds and both beds were very small and very lumpy so i ended up with a sore neck as a reulst and really painful lower back. Very uncomfortable overall and not great value for money at all.
4.1
Room and location were great.
Noise on a Saturday night from students from midnight -3am was really bad. Not the hotels fault but beware during term time.
The room should not have cost more than £200,
The breakfast was utterly terrible, and the seating was like eating in a motorway restaurant.
4.1
Very central and reception staff were very nice
We were in an attic room which had no seating and the roof was so pitched we had to bend to get into bed
4.1
Beautiful interior design and very helpful staff.
No lift (in annexe)

The studio room was fantastic and huge! Super comfortable soft beds and pillows. Great location too
The 2 flights of stairs that were super steep. Recommend packing light
4.1
High quality and comfortable hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. Private use of the spa was excellent. Would definitely recommend people to stay. It was exceptional.
Restaurant was not available. Bar was empty and lacked atmosphere. There was a fire alarm for a couple of hours one evening - but these things happen. Felt price was just a little high at nearly £1000 for two nights.

Location
We were in annexe, across the road from where breakfast was served, bar and restuarant were undergoing refurbishment, that only showed once we had decided to book. Buffet breakfast, at the prices charged I was expecting to be served a breakfast. Overall quite disappointed.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful going out of their way to accommodate a few requests we had. Breakfast was pretty typical for Scotland. Our room faced a side street so we didn't have much of a view.
The only negative was carrying our luggage up steps. Besides that the room was spacious and clean.

The breakfast was so good. The staff were super friendly! The bed was so comfy and the room was lovely! Can’t fault our stay! Thank you so much!
4.1
Easy access to the centre of the town and to the beach. A small number of rooms in the hotel which made access extremely easy. Very helpful reception staff.
The noise of an alarm from an adjacent room was rather annoying but that was the fault of the guest rather than the hotel. The breakfast was disappointing.

The location was great and the room was lovely. However the best thing was the service, the staff was amazing.
Nothing.

excellent location, great rooms which were very warm and cosy after golf. restaurant for breakfast was just what we needed.

Facilities including spa were excellent 👌
Room we were put in was in the roof space, constantly ducking down (I'm 5'7") shame as the room was really nice apart from that.

The hotel was beautiful.
The staff kept asking if we were staying at the hotel. I I got followed to the toilet.
4.1
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic room and spa. Central location.
Breakfast could be improved. Eggs of choice would have been ideal rather than only offering pre-cooked scrambled.

we loved the decor.
unable to use the bar, no restaurant, the spa wasn’t the best as the Sauna wasn’t that hot, the utensils for pouring water in there were all broken, the headrest and wooden panels inside the sauna were broken (literally falling off the wall) we hated the fact we were there to have a break from our children and have a decent sleep as we have a young baby who doesn’t sleep well, but we were woken up at 8:30 in the morning with a knock at the door, we ignored it twice but in the third time we opened it only to be asked if we had lost our clothes😳 which no we had not and we hadn’t called any of the staff to say we had!!! I had mentioned at check out but the girl didn’t really say anything about it.

the room was lovely
breakfast was poor for the. money. restaurant being done up so no food facilities

The room and bathroom were beautiful and very clean.
We arrived and had to search for someone to help us check in. Once we finally found someone, we then went to book in some spa treatments (which was why we booked the hotel) but were informed that the only thing we could book was a 30min massage because their only therapist was pregnant. So I don’t think it’s fair to call it a spa hotel
We then had an awful experience with the staff at breakfast the next morning - which made us feel so uncomfortable that the next morning we chose to have breakfast outside of the hotel.
We were also walking back to the hotel and could hear the fire alarm going off in our building. I realised that no one was coming to look from reception - another guest had told me she had tried to call reception but no luck. So I ran to reception, found someone (a very young girl, I’m assuming a student from the uni) who looked totally panicked, didn’t know what to do and just casually walked off to find her manager. Thankfully it wasn’t an actual fire - but indicatively showed a complete lack of care.
On the morning we left we also had no hot water.

On Arrival in St Andrews, we were lucky to get a free parking space 100yards away in the local Car Park, if not it could've meant a bit of a walk after dropping our bags off as the town was very busy. however, we were okay. On arrival at the hotel, The reception staff was lovely and very helpful in taking us to our room. We then received a complimentary drink each and not just the cheap stuff, A Cocktail and Perroni for me. This was a very nice touch for me as we then ended up just sitting in the lovely Bar area at the window just watching the world go by and had another three drinks, unfortunately not on the house but the prices were in line with local bars so all good. Our room was lovely with all the expected facilities. King bed, Iron, TV, Hair Dryer for the missus, and a good stocked mini bar, and nice and clean too. Breakfast was a buffet, again with everything you would expect. When we arrived for breakfast it was nearly 10:30 am but the staff was brilliant, they even went and put on more Bacon and served us at our table rather than some hotel's saying, sorry you're too late. So excellent service from the Staff and Thank you
My only gripe would be the street noise till around 1 am and then the seagulls at 6 am but to be fair it's to be expected in a busy Student/ Seaside Town, Maybe Tripple Glazing would sort that on Front Facing Rooms.

Spacious room with good facilities. We enjoyed the complimentary cocktails.
Hotel room was very warm. We had reserved a slot to use the spa facilities. No one was there to check us in and the button for the spa didn’t work. We had to look for a member of a member of staff to assist us with this. Luckily another staff member was on the stairwell and was able to override the faulty button.
