Location was 1 minute from the ocean, five minutes from the town centre and about 2 minutes from the gym. It was super quiet with plenty of off-road parking.
Coffee bags for the plunger were really weak.

We didn't have breakfast at The Dawson. The room was excellent - very welcoming staff who took us to our room. Spotless room with all the facilities needed.
It's just such a pity that our night's stay at the Beechwood Motel in Taupo wasn't like this motel!
Absolutely nothing - The Dawson is just so highly recommended.

It was located in a nice quiet area close to town. The room was immaculate and tidy, the bed was comfy and there was an extensive range of tv channels. Lovely staff and easy check-in.
I wouldn't say I liked the little sachet body care toiletries.

Nicely welcomed by the owner. The room, bathroom and kitchenette were clean and nice. The bed was very comfortable with fresh scented pillows. Amenities in the bathroom were very nice (No pumped soap!). Location near the ocean front.
The noise from the street but it can be expected because the motel is on the city!

The shower in this motel was exceptional.

Very clean and spacious room. Slept so well as the beds were comfortable and it was really quiet. Loved being able to walk everywhere.

Fantastic motel, recently redecorated but cost over twice as much as another adequate motel we stayed in one night prior in New Plymouth.

A large group who stayed at the weekend were a bit selfish with their noise, but definitely not the owners’ fault. it is a lovely quiet location normally.
