17 Jefferson St .: Esta hermosa casa de la época victoriana de 6 habitaciones y 2. 5+ baños se encuentra a solo 4 casas de la mejor playa familiar de Cape May y a un corto paseo de sus mejores tiendas y restaurantes. Cuando no estés en la playa, disfrutarás del amplio porche de la casa con sus siete mecedoras, una hamaca y grandes vistas del océano. La casa tiene capacidad para 15 y tiene un camino de entrada con aparcamiento en la calle para 4-5 coches (!)
Compramos la casa en la primavera de 2010 y hemos invertido mucho en renovaciones y muebles nuevos para hacer de este un excelente alquiler, más de $ 400,000 hasta la fecha. Prácticamente todas las áreas de la casa han sido renovadas, por dentro y por fuera. A pesar de todos los cambios, nuestro objetivo era mantener la apariencia de 1901 de la casa.

17 Jefferson is perfect on every level. The owner has maintained the property with meticulous detail! The house is bright, cheerful and filled with natural light and spotlessly clean. As soon as you walk in the front door, it is evident that the owners take great pride in their home.
The location can not be beat... 1/2 block to the beach. You can see the ocean from the front porch. We never used our car during our week stay. We easily walked every evening to dinner and Washington mall.
The house comes with everything that we needed... kitchen was VERY well stocked, plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas, lots of puzzles, games, books, DVDs. A highlight was the front porch with enough rockers for all of the adults (8 of us) and a hammock.
Game changers for us were the ample parking in the driveway- we were able to fit 4 Large cars - and the wonderful outdoor shower!
The owner was EXTREMELY attentive to my questions and any need, responding very quickly and so very eager to make sure that our stay was the absolute best -- and it was!
This was our second visit to this beautiful home... and our family decided to now make it a yearly family tradition- bringing us all together in Cape May at 17 Jefferson!

I would recommend this property to anyone. The home is lovely and well equipped. If you have any issues, the owner is very responsive. The location is ideal!!! Everyone in our group loved it!

Had a short 5 day family vacation . The home was beautiful, warm and so well equipped. The porch was a delightful gathering place. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Close to beach, miniature golf, restaurants and Washington mall.

We had a wonderful experience working with the owner! Blair was extremely flexible and responsive before, during, and after our stay. The house was beautiful - perfect for a mixed group of 22-55 year old women to stay for an off-season beach getaway! The beach was very close, and we were within a 10ish minute walk to all the bars and restaurants! Also, the owner was thoughtful about little things - for example, NJ doesn’t have bags at the grocery stores and the house had a bunch of re-usable ones we could take with us when shopping. Overall, we had a great experience. Thanks so much!!

The house was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a cozy weekend. Very clean, plenty of kitchen supplies. Comfortable seating and the bedrooms were great. Walkable into town and so close to the beach.

We had a great stay. The house was beautiful and clean and was a short walk to Washington street. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes we needed and we had plenty of space for a large group to eat together and hang out in the living room. The house has a warm cozy feeling and wasn’t drafty for our December trip. Would love to stay here again!

We haven’t been to the home in a decade, but tend to come during milestones! We had so much fun from 10weeks old to a newly 80 year old!!
So comfortable, easy to live in, and appropriate to call it home. Memories were made and documented that warms our souls. Coming to Cape May in the off-season is just as amazing (and more relaxed) than any other time of year. A great place to bring in Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season.

The house was a great place for our family. The kitchen was well supplied while the house kept the Victorian feel. Being so close to the beach is a bonus. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and being able to hear the ocean.

Overall good experience. Great location, lots of room for 10 people. Charming old house with lots of character.
Lacked some basics like extra blankets, dish towels, soap, shampoo which they admit in their renter's guide. Couldn't find pot holders. Their post-stay cleaning requirements seem a little ridiculous given we pay a supplemental fee for a cleaning service but I imagine the owners may have experienced some renters that trashed the place and are adjusting for that. I would recommend this house for a large family gathering. Lots of space.

Our 2nd time staying here, we really enjoy this house. It's great for our extended family of 13. The location can not be beat, less than block from the beach. Highly recommend for large groups!

Our stay at Blair’s place was amazing. We had 8 plus 2 kids under 3. We had plenty of room. Our favorite part of the house was the location—just several houses from the beach and a10 minute walk to shops and a playground. We went to the zoo, Naval Air station, Sunset Beach, lighthouse, and Escape room. All of the beds were comfortable and the outdoor shower was especially nice. The covered porch with rocking chairs was such a pleasant spot to have coffee in the morning. The house was well stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys.
There was an issue with one of the air conditioners, but Blair was extremely quick to take care of it and sent out a technician super fast. We would definitely return to this place!

Cannot beat the location, house was steps from the beach and well stocked with beach toys and equipment. We loved the front porch with plenty of seating for the entire family to enjoy the sounds of the ocean. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out throughout the house.

My three-generation family enjoyed a great beach week in Cape May, based in this comfortable home. The bedrooms are generously-sized with comfortable beds. The bathrooms have been nicely updated. The dining room is larger than in the photos; we easily had 13 people around the table one evening. The kitchen is particularly well equipped with lots of flatware, dishes, pots and pans, and serving bowls and platters. The location could hardly be better; it's just 1/2 block to the beach and an easy walk to the main shopping and restaurant area of the town. The few problems that occured were immediately handled by the friendly property manager. I highly recommend this property for large family groups.

We had a wonderful stay with our family. The house was well maintained and charming. The minute walk to the beach was heavenly and great for young kids. We loved the touches of Cape May nostalgia displayed throughout the house and it was a perfect fit for ourselves and children. The owners were extremely responsive when we had questions at the beginning of our stay. Would definitely rent here again!

We had a great time and loved the house. Just a few houses to the beach and so easy to walk everywhere. We parked the car and didn't have to drive once! Very clean and charming. Our favorite thing was spending tons of time on the porch in the rocking chairs.

This six-bedroom Victorian charmer was the perfect home for my family’s weeklong getaway. The interior has been updated with such care - a house so nice I tried my best to keep it tidy. The dining room was a spacious spot for us to gather over dinner and board games. So much fun! When it was time for slumber, we slept on some of the most comfortable mattresses we’ve experienced at a rental property.
Location only added to our enjoyment. This home is a very short walk to the beach, and we were there every day. We also bicycled daily, and doing so on the boardwalk (in the off-season, when allowed) is a must. The shops on Washington Street aren’t far. We got there by foot a few times.
Lastly, my communication with the owner, Blair, was always friendly. He was quick to respond to minor questions. All of this has left my family eager to return to this house next year!

Everything about the house and our stay was wonderful. The house was very clean, there were plenty of pillows, blankets, and everything we needed to cook meals. There was one issue with a shower handle so I messaged the owner and they messaged me back right away and the issue was fixed. The house is less than a block from the beach and you can hear the waves at night. Close enough to walk to downtown Washington Street, too. We would definitely stay here again!

Not only is the house pristine, spacious and well equipped for a fabulous time, but Blair goes above and beyond to be communicative and accommodating. This all adds up to a smooth stay with 6 littles running around at our feet and a true vacation!

I’ve stayed at this house a few times and while it’s always a wonderful experience, it’s been made even better by upgrades the owner has done to the property. A bathroom on the main floor and new kitchen appliances make what was already a delightful space even better. We just had the loveliest time. Highest praise for this charming and comfortable home by the sea.

This house is perfect. Very clean, well stocked, updated, excellent location, fabulous front porch and the perfect size. There are super easy and conveniently located instruction throughout the house to keep your stay ( and future guests) safe and enjoyable. Perfect for our group of 11(6 adults, 5 children). Less than half a block to promenade and beach. Outdoor shower and toilet in basement allowed us to use basic facilities without entering house ( this was really helpful with 5 active children). The house itself is beautiful with plenty of bedroom space, a well stocked kitchen, and the common areas are spacious. Most of our evening meals were around a beautiful dining room table( plenty of space for our group of 11). Mornings and evenings were spent on the rockers on the front porch. Plenty of beach supplies were provided for us so we didn’t have to lug any of those with us from home. Thanks to Blair and Barbara for another beautiful memory of Cape May!

This is a lovely house in the heart of Cape May. It is perfect for those who enjoy being near the action. The house was spotless when we arrived. We had a number of issues with the air conditioning but the host responded and addressed this immediately. The photos of the backyard and kitchen make them appear larger than they actually are. I would rent again if we enjoyed being in the busier part of Cape May but my family prefers the quieter norht end of town.

Great space and amenities for 50th anniversary reunion
The property was as stated in the listing, and the space and amenities were perfect for 4 family groups getting together to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. We had 13 people, including 3 young adults, a teenager, and a middle schooler, and the variety and number of bedrooms was exactly what we needed. The large dining area was great for gathering for meals made in the well-equipped kitchen or takeout from nearby restaurants on the promenade. Cooking was very easy because of the array of pots, pans, and cooking utensils available, and having the Keurig as well as a 12-cup coffee maker available ensured that everyone was properly caffeinated. The proximity to the beach was great for multiple daily trips, and the outdoor shower and changing rooms made it easy for cleanup when we finished. The large, covered front porch with table and chairs along with the hammock around the corner got a lot of use too. Thank you, Blair, for a wonderful property and your quick and direct communication!
