Design of building is bad, when raining too noisy at window, worse than torture. Stairs are poorly designed.

On the surface, the hotel seems like a good deal - cheap price, especially for being near the beach. However, I got bed bugs while I was there - arms got bitten badly (forearms and wrists). I have photos to prove this, which I will try to upload, if possible. The last several days have been very painful for me, because of this. I had to go to the pharmacy and buy all sorts of creams/ointments and anti-septic for these bites. If it doesn't get better by tomorrow, I'll probably have to go to an urgent care clinic or something like that. These bites are bad to say the least. Also, the staff didn't speak English ... so we had difficulty communicating. Also, they treat the place like a prison. They lock it down at 7pm (19:00) ... and you have to ring the bell for them to let you out. However, coming back is worse, because you have to either call them or knock on the window of the housekeeper, who stays there most of the time. This is a pain in the neck. For example, one evening, I came back to the hotel at 11:35pm, and waited outside for 10 minutes knocking on the door and window until someone unlocked the door. Another time, I came back at 1:50pm (13:50) and it was locked ... and I had to knock on the door for several minutes before someone came to the door. So sometimes they even lock it down during the daytime ... if the housekeeper/front desk person has to go the bathroom or tend to a room. Obviously, this is ridiculous and not the way to run a hotel. They need to have a key for the main door that they give people staying there ... so people don't have to go this insanity when departing or entering the hotel. I am currently trying to work with booking.com to get a refund on this hotel reservation. I actually had back to back reservations at Shpinat and the staff didn't speak English so I couldn't explain to them the bed bug problem, thus couldn't get a refund.
