Wonderful, accommodating staff, really went out of their way to meet all of our needs. Exceptional view, comfortable bed, great breakfast, and location. We're coming back after our stay in the Galapagos!

Vista del Ángel is beautiful, it’s a majestic feeling exterior, clean interior, and it was in a lovely location, just up the hill from old town. the restaurant was also great.

The room was a little small. A courtyard view makes it much less worth staying there…it’s fine because it’s free of city noise but it’s not too pretty. the jacuzzi also didn’t work.

Lovely building, well maintained. Great restaurant terrace with incredible views of the city. The staff, especially Jennifer at reception and server Chris in the restaurant, were outstanding. The restaurant was very good.

The location, while scenic, is up an incredibly steep, windy hill, which made us feel removed from anything the city offered. But the distance is largely psychological; resign yourself to using a taxi for the trip up (and possibly down) the hill.

The hotel is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Stunning views. Hotel looks even better than the pictures. Beds are comfortable Breakfast is good Hotel is quiet between 11pm and 7am

No closet or dresser in the room which means youll probably be looking at your clothes instead of the pretty room. Thats an easy fix for the hotel if they wanted to fix it The following issues are minor, but may be of importance to some Hotel rooms are directly below a restaurant so theres some noise in the morning. But that probably wont bother you Hotel rooms and the hotel front door require climbing several flights of stairs, which may be an issue to others. Hotel is COMPLETELY INACCESSIBLE BY CAR between the hours of 0700 and 0730 due to a daily road closure at a nearby school. Not the hotel's fault, but they could do a better job notifying guests of this issue. The hotel is at the top of a VERY steep hill. You will likely need a taxi each time you return to the hotel. Cabs are cheap though.

This property is absolutely beautiful. Incredible, vast views of the city - Quito - that are even more stunning at night. The interior is esthetically gorgeous. The colors and style of furnishings gave the feeling of both lush comfort and old world sophistication. I was so impressed. The wine cellar!! There’s even a quaint comfy seating area to enjoy some fantastic and numerous selection of wines. Perfect location. Close to the city center. The service and food were ALSO outstanding Excellent, well prepared dinner selections that were flavorful and fresh. The complementary breakfast was far better than most I’ve had. Also delicious, fresh and the presentation was not overlooked. Pretty and delicate. The front door receptionist/hostess was lovely. she was so patient and helpful. She made transportation arrangements quickly and easily. She also provided suggestions on stellar excursion options. I will be back!

Beautiful hotel with unbelievable city view. Delicious breakfast with juices, hot chocolate, croissants, fresh fruits, and omelets. Staff is so nice and makes your stay comfortable

Booking anything through the hotel is much more than the average price and not necessarily better - taxi from/to airport: hotel charges $35 and taxi is $25. The ride isn’t a nice car or anything, the person who was suppose to pick us up wasn’t there when we arrived and we waited probably 30 extra minutes than if I just took a taxi - waking tour was advertised as free (ie tip based). When I inquired into their sign, I was told it was $70 (very high for a walking tour)
