The breakfast was great at the hotel. The overall space is quite a complex and has a lot of character. Very close to the train station. Comfortable bed.

Unfortunately the pool and spa were closed where closed for the dates we booked. We did not know that until we got there. I would definitely do some outside research when you book to see what is available for the dates you are reserving. We had other plans in the area but I would have been disappointed if Dr. Holms was our main event. The bowling was only open on weekends or Thursday - Saturday, I think. And the restaurants in the area had not great hours for us. The town was kind of between seasons. The staff that checked me in was stand off-ish and I felt like I was having to ask a lot of questions without being offered much in return. But later I had really good staff encounters. Our bathroom light flickered on and off the whole time - I should have mentioned it but I figured the staff knew because cleaners came through and update our bathroom with towels.

Very relaxed atmosphere and generous breakfast board. The staff are really pleasant and helpful. Loved that it was so accessible to the Slopes and local shops, and the view from our bedroom across the valley was utterly stunning!

The bed mattresses were just a little too soft for us, but the room was so cosy and clean, we coped just fine.

Perfect location, few minutes walk to the closest ski slopes, really good breakfast. We are extremely happy!

Breakfast was very good and staff did an amazing job restocking food and cleaning.

Felt the hotel was a bit understaffed mid week. The pool locker rooms were disgustingly dirty. There should have been staff to clean them. Plus the hot in was shockingly small and not that warm.

The delightful Edwardian architecture and furniture, the breakfast, the spa.

The location close to Geilo centre, skiing facilities (hire, lifts, ski school) plus the hotel facilities- awesome spa with rooftop jacuzzi! Lots of space for you to hang out in various lounges. Good options for food with either buffet evening meal, a la carte or more casual sports bar (they also allow you to take away) if you fancy a meal in! Nothing is too much for the friendly staff. Best hot chocolate in Europe. We will return.

Beautiful old hotel. The bowling alley is a lot of fun and so are the indoor swimming pools.

Some areas of the hotel need a bit of refurbishment.

Everything went well. The food at the bar was excellent.

Very nice room and our dogs could joins us.

The swimming pool and jacuzzi were quiet and available all day, and breakfast was excellent our request for a room with a view was accommodated in style.
