The location was excellent

The room needs updating, the bed blankets (not sheets) needs washing, they have not been laundered for a very long time and are unhygienic. The kitchen draws stick close. The water from the shower is a trickle and the whole bathroom/kitchen is straight from the 1970s. The bed mattress is way passed its used by date and is sagging into the middle. The TV is very small (18in I think) and you need to sit directly in front of it to see it. There are no electrical sockets next to the bed to charge the phone over night

This is a perfect location, close to town, attractions and pathways. The room was fairly basic but really clean and fresh. It was also more spacious than expected. The host was welcoming and helpful. My sister and I loved our stay here and will be recommending this motel to others.

everything was ok but I would encourage the owners to get new blankets and bed covers as the ones being used are old. the sheets were nice crisp cotton.

Amazing service. The motel owner was super friendly and welcomed us with a smile after a long day driving. The information in the units on Wanganui and the motel is incredible as gave us a great insight into what was on offer

While a bit dated, this is comfortable, very spacious and clean motel. And excellent value for money. I have stayed here several times and will stay there again.

The unit was very spacious, quiet, clean and very good value. The location is ideal, a leisurely walk into the cbd, to Kowhai Park, to the Riverboat Centre, and the wonderful riverside market. The owners are friendly and helpful. We have stayed here before and will do so again. It's everything you need at a reasonable price.

Despite being stuck in the 1980s, this motel is perfectly adequate for a short stay. I've stayed before and will again. Friendly staff, clean, great location beside the river. And above all, cheap!!

The décor was dark, gloomy and depressing. The shower was a trickle and very dark. Lost in the brown paint era...

Location was perfect, not far from centre of town and the river just directly across the road, room was just a bit bigger then I expected.

Only thing that comes to mind are the showers being a little low and soft water pressure

Great place near the downtown ( drive, or decent walk). Everything there I needed, I even cooked breakfast!

Wanted to charge my car, but someone else took my park! First world problems!

Lovely location, nice and quiet, friendly staff, also had a lovely friendly cat called Bear, which was a nice touch. Nice motel. Would recommend.

We did not have the breakfast. Fantastic location with direct access to the main travel routes. Very reasonable prices for the scope of facilities.

The facilities suited us all just fine - as grandparents with our daughter, a seven year-old grandson along with his four year-old sister.
