The staff was not only extremely kind and professional but also very welcoming and helpful. We felt like part of the family. The accomodation was super clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent especially with the view to the river. The free transfer from the airport and to the center is really appreciable. We would highly recommand Thongbay to everyone and will come back there when we will come to luang Prabang. Thank you so much !

Can't say enough about how wonderful the staff are!!! Seriously so amazing making sure that we were happy and comfortable and taken care of. From the moment we were welcomed with juice and cake, to the ride to the almsgiving ceremony that the owner gave us when the tuk-tuk failed to show at 5:30am, to the totally above and beyond, even driving me to the clinic when I sustained a minor injury, and then insisting on staying with me while I got it treated. The home cooked breakfasts served on our private balcony each morning were delicious. The setting is a lush garden on the river that feels like an oasis. The rooms (all private huts) are large and comfortable and beautifully decorated. Loved loved loved our stay here! Would enthusiastically recommend.

Nothing really! It's a bit far from the centre of town, but tuk-tuks are cheap and the hotel runs regular free shuttles. The WiFi was hit or miss, but in those beautiful surroundings, who cares? The noise carries a bit from the karaoke bars along the river, but it ends relatively early. Honestly I wouldn't change a thing.

The nice bungalows on a beautiful and quiet place. Delicious breakfast served on your veranda or in the garden. The shuttle will bring you to or pick you up in the city center at set times.

This is the best guesthouse I've stayed in during all my travels. The hosts and staff are amazing and it feels like you're staying with family. They helped me to arrange all of my trips and gave me lots of tips for places to visit / eat around the city. They also provide a shuttle bus to the city at a range of times in the morning and evening, so you don't need to bother with tuktuks or taxis. The location is really peaceful and quiet, and even if you don't get a river view room there is a terrace over looking the river for all guests to use. I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Luang Prabang.

I couldn't recommend this hotel more. From start to finish my family and I had a wonderful stay at the Thongbay guest house. Some of the plus points for this hotel were as follows. .Extremely helpful and friendly staff .Beautiful rooms .Comfortable beds .Free Taxi service to town and airport. .Location was perfect. .Delicious breakfast severed to room or by the Mekong River. I would definitely recommend this place to a family, couple or even single traveler that's looking for peace and complete relaxation.

Getting breakfast served on our balcony each morning at a time of our choosing was an unexpected treat. The staff were friendly and helpful, the riverside view was beautiful and the bungalow was very clean. We have already recommended the guesthouse to friends and family.

Really nice to have breakfast brought to our room each morning and to be able to sit on our own balcony to eat it. Very quiet location with a river view and lovely green grounds. Staff were very pleasant. Free drinking water supply to refill bottles.

More frequent shuttle buses into town. Better lighting in the room.
