Everything about this house was great. Very large, much larger than it appears in the pictures, plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We've stayed in several houses on 30A and this has to be one of the most well appointed ones. The walk to the beach is about 15 minutes, or a 5 minute bike ride, but it is worth the extra distance since you will not be piled up on top of people on this area of Watersound Beach, compared to some of the other communities along 30A, we like this area for how quiet it is. The garage had several bikes and enough beach gear to accommodate our entire group. I also appreciated the very nice BBQ grill with a direct gas connection (no tank), I can't tell you how many homes I've been to where the tank is out. We'll definitely be back to this house.

The house was wonderful and equipped with everything we needed. The walk to the beach is a bit further than we expected but doable. We would definitely stay here again.

We (family 0f 10 ages 9-66) loved this house. We have stayed on 30A for many years. This is our favorite house we have stayed in. There was plenty of room to spread out. The water pressure and hot water was plentiful (that may seem like a small item but with 10 people hot water goes fast...we were never without hot water.) There is a boardwalk to the beach which is about .5 mile but it is a pretty walk so it wasnt too bad. There are several (6 or 7) bikes which you can ride to the beach which our grandsons did most days. The beach itself was not crowded. plenty of room to spread out and no restrictions. close to lots of restaurants and shopping etc. but not cluttered in the area of the house. The pool was nice and we used it a couple of days on the way from the beach back to the house. Overall, the best place we have ever stayed on 30A.

Our 3rd straight summer at this property! The beach is a 15 minute walk, but we managed with the provided wagons. A big pro is that this area of the beach is so much less crowded than the public area. Our kids (ages 6, 4, and 2) had a great time in the community pool, and we loved having the plunge pool available when we were home for naptime. The house was very clean and true to the photos with lots of areas for our group to spread out!

This was one of the best places we have stayed for our family vacation. Property was clean, plenty of space and the private beach was PERFECT! Bit of a walk to the beach but my 75 & 78 yr old parents made it just fine. Kids loved the bikes and the neighborhood pool!

House was awesome. The kids used the pool more than we thought they would! Bikes need maintenance but they worked. Grill and screened porch were perfect for meals. We picked up buddy’s seafood across the street most nights. Master bed is very firm. We didn’t think we would like it because it seemed hard. But in hindsight our backs didn’t hurt so we’re wondering if we need one. 😂

The house was fantastic. David, the host, was most accommodating. There were ten of us (4 grandparents, 2 parents and 4 grandchildren (18, 16, 12 & 10). Plenty of room for everyone! And TWO refrigerators! Seven (I think) bicycles, beach wagon and other beach amenities. We all had a wonderful time! About .6 of a mile to the beach, but plenty of private area. Very large pool. This house was such a hidden treasure. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The home was extremely clean and very nicely appointed. The plunge pool was a great bonus! We absolutely loved our stay. A note for improvement: The upstairs King room mattress could use replacing-it felt really old and squeeky. Overall, our week was magic. The home was perfect for our family and so very comfortable.

We had such a terrific stay. There was more than enough space for our group of six, and it’s location to the beach and pool made allowed us to have a great time. We were grateful to have found such a comfy place!

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is one of a kind! The house is huge and well stocked. The walk to the pool and beach is easy. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this house to family’s looking to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Our group of two families had a lovely week at “Lazy Summers Day” for Thanksgiving 2022. I don’t think the photos do this home justice—-it was so roomy, and several updates have been made, including a bed in the upstairs TV area! The home was clean and beautiful, wonderfully appointed, and had the perfect central location to all of 30A. We enjoyed the 1.5 mile bike ride to “The Big Chill” several times, and found the ride to Seaside to be an easy 3.5 mile trek as well. The pool at the house was able to be heated and was great even with the cooler temps. We enjoyed the Watersound West pool, as well! The walk to the beach is relatively quick, and the beach area immediately outside the boardwalk was blissfully uncrowded. We had everything we needed to prep Thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed the meal out on the screened in first-floor patio. The only suggestion I would make for improvement would be to update the bikes at the property, as they’re showing wear and tear and were no longer very reliable, even after we did some preventative maintenance upon arrival. I would 100% recommend this property and would love to return someday!

We enjoyed our stay

This is our second year in Watersound West and will never stay anywhere else! This neighborhood is great; rare to not have to cross 30a to get to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet, well-kept and friendly. The walk to the pool and beach takes 5-15 minutes depending on your speed, but is easily doable with the wagon. This home is clean and as advertised. It was large enough for our family of 7 plus friends that visited us while there. The pool was great for the kids to use. There is plenty of pool and beach gear, as well as bikes. We appreciated how quickly and easily David and Ashley were able to take care of a small issue we had early in the week. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back!

This was our third trip to Lazy Summer's Day and it continues to be our favorite rental on 30A. This was our first trip since 2019 and we were pleased to find the same clean, well-stocked, friendly, and communicative experience. We hope to be back again soon! Thanks, David, for sharing your place.

The house was simply gorgeous. We have rented many homes. This was the best. House was equipped with everything you can imagine. Lots of beach stuff in garage. Didn't need to bring any beach items from home. Private pool dud just fine. Nieghborhood pool was awesome. Never crowded. Walk to beach was 15 minutes but it was a beautiful walk. Homes are all pretty. The big pond is nice. Especially at night. All the frogs sound cool. The beach was great and never crowded. We cooked at home every night. The grill on the screened in porch was great. Good location for all you'll want to do. We really miss being at the house. It was that spectacular. Lynn

Our 2nd time staying at this property with 3 kids and 6 adults. Home is exactly as pictured, and we love both the private pool and the community pool. The beach is a 15 minute walk along a boardwalk through the quiet neighborhood. We hope to be back next year!

Loved the house- better than description - and the neighborhood, and beach. Etc. Loved the chairs, wagon, umbrellas, etc., fire pit and plunge pool. Reg pool is nice too. Great week at the beach.

We had a wonderful time. House was very clean with lots of room for a group of adults. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to wherever you want to go.

We absolutely loved our time at this home. Very clean, immediate response from property manager when we had a question, plenty of space for everyone. Lots of bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas and toys in garage - we didn’t need to bring a thing from home! 10-15 min walk to beach on a beautiful walkover of the dune lake. Or just a 5 min bike ride. Quiet, gated n’hood and beach area. We’ll never return to overcrowded Rosemary or Watercolor now that we’ve stayed in Watersound. No more 4 rows deep of chairs and umbrellas. Walked to the beach at noon and could set up right by the water. Perfect! And the plunge pool, screened in porch and outdoor gas firepit were perfect!

David and Ashley the property manager were exceptional throughout this whole process. The house is everything they described and more with a homey charm that made our New Years stay extra special. The walks on the boardwalks to and from the beach were worth price of admission alone. The house itself is incredibly well kept and spacious. We had 3 families, 6 adults and 4 children ranging from 4 months to 3 years old. We’ll likely book next years New Year’s Eve trip to 30A at the same house and make this a tradition.

Our stay was absolute paradise! The house fit our needs perfectly. There is room to cook and enjoy being together, as well as room to relax in peace. The porches upstairs and down are amazing. The fire pit and plunge pool - perfect for hanging out. The bikes & beach gear are a great bonus. We will definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this beautiful home & beachside neighborhood. Home was very clean, spacious & comfortable just like my own home. A few of our favorites: 1. Fire pit 2. Screened in porch with a nice grill- We managed two 1000 piece puzzles out there! 3. Bike riding out to the beach- just beautiful! Host, David Summers was available for check-in code issue & Ashley property manager helped with TV set up. Appreciated how fast both were when I reached out for help! Great stay at beach Perfect for all sizes of families or multiple families. Bathrooms for every bedroom. Perfect access to beach by bike. Owner extremely responsive

My wife and our 3 early elementary children had a wonderful time at this property. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed and had plenty of space for our family. Communication with the owner was easy and we always received a quick reply. The neighborhood itself is amazing, secluded, has an awesome pool, and is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The only thing I would caution is that the beach is a bit of a trek. Might not be as much of a challenge for older families who can all easily bike carrying chairs, umbrellas, etc, but for us it was a factor. Would definitely stay here again, lovely property.

This home was perfect for our family vacation! It was private, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable for our stay. The plunge pool was a perfect bonus to our vacation! Since the weather was not great the week we stayed, the plunge pool allowed us to hop in for a quick dip, when the beach and neighborhood pool were not an option. The property manager was very quick to answer any questions we had and the owner made sure we were aware of any maintenance workers coming by the home. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property to everyone! Thank you!
