HIer hat alles gepaßt: tolle und liebevolle Ausstattung der Küche, des Zimmers, des Aufenthaltsraums, ausgesprochen nettes Personal, super Lage (ruhig und nicht weit zu Fuß zur Innenstadt). Und eine sehr nette Atmosphäre in diesem Hostel, wo man wir am großen Eßtisch mit Leuten aus aller Welt ins Gespräch gekommen sind. Für Leute, die allein oder zu zwei reisen, eine klare Empfehlung!

Køjesenge var meget dårlige, man kunne mærke alt ved mindste bevægelse. Rengøringen kunne være bedre. Der var kæmpe edderkopper og spindelvæv på mit værelse Parkering er et mareridt

Room was good, I liked that this facility provided single rooms as opposed to dormitory style rooms. There was a rug under the bed so that was nice not to step out onto a cold wooden floor. Kitchen area on top (2nd) floor where we were was adequate for our needs. They did lock off the kitchens between 10 pm & 9 am so if you needed something it would have to wait until they opened it up again. This facility had 3 floors and has been divided up so that there are individual rooms with toilets on all floors and showers on the 1st floor. I am not sure if there were showers on the ground floor. The room did not smell musty and the sheets were freshly laundered and 2 pillows provided which was nice, oil heater in room meaning one could warm up the small room really quickly.

There was a lot of noises during the night, being an old building the sounds did carry throughout the night. Floorboards were very creaky, people walking around and talking into the late night, toilets flushing, showers etc so did not really have a good night sleep. My travelling companion unbeknown to me did not like sleeping on the 2nd floor and was checking out the fire exits etc but had I known that I would have asked for a ground floor room. I have not stayed at backpackers very much but I was under the impression that they were the cheapest form of accommodation one can get so at $75 each a night was for me a bit expensive but as we were attending a funeral it was a last minute booking and also there was an event on in Dunedin that weekend the accommodation options were limited. I guess looking back now one can get a fully serviced motel unit for about the same price ($150 for 2 people) so again the price and my personal experience means that I would not stay here again. These thoughts are my personal preferences rather than the fault of the facility but important to let others know what my experience was.

The bed was comfortable and spacious room. There was plenty of space and utilities in the kitchen to use.

The hostel could do with a deep clean, lots of dust and flaky paint. There were some other guests who were wondering around drunk in the night. It was a very steep hill from the centre

It was a friendly atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful

It was three Quarters up a very steep hill, if you don’t have transportation with 2 backpacks it’s hard work

They are very understanding, flexible, they allowed me to extend my stays and when I had a fall, and made sure I was okay. And they have an awesome music room. I am a musician and I had some fun playing on their instruments. I also made some good friends there as well. Which is amazing. And the staff are awesome. It's a clean place as well. It's also the former Dunedin hospital so it's rich in history and it is a historic place which is awesome.

I can find no fault with the chalet. It's an awesome place and Chris is a great manager and the staff are amazing.

No pude dormir temprano porque se escuchaba que alguien movía muebles, y también fuera de la habitación había un fire hose que hacía ruido. Finalmente todo el ruido terminó a las 12am aprox
