Lidie's Place - A Secluded Forest Cottage
Una cabaña de 2 dormitorios y un baño en el bosque que ha sido recientemente renovada y tiene capacidad para 5 personas. Un baño nuevo, una acogedora chimenea de gas, lavadora, secadora y un spa para 5 personas esperan su llegada. Un interior de pino nudoso con encimeras rústicas de bloque de carnicero y un porche cerrado de 3 estaciones para relajar las tardes que lo llevan a los viejos tiempos. Venga y disfrute de nuestra casa de campo aislada y salga renovado. Las mascotas son bienvenidas a un costo de $ 25. 00 por mascota. Se requiere un mínimo de 2 noches todos los fines de semana.

We came for a short getaway to relax and enjoy the area around Blakeslee. Lidie’s Place turned out to be a hidden gem. The house was great and provided everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the hot tub was fantastic. We were greeted at the door by the owner, who gave us a quick, informative tour. The house is in a great location for anything you might want to do in the area, and there is a basket of brochures for things to do and places to eat. The house has an enclosed front porch with games as well as a fire pit in the backyard. All in all, it was a great home away from home, and we will look forward to coming back in the future. We highly recommend a stay in this well appointed cottage! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We enjoyed our weeklong stay. The fenced yard was private and perfect for our 14 month old pup. The kitchen served our needs. The rest of the house was warm and welcoming. There were many hiking opportunities within a 15 minute drive including a very unique geological/bog area at the Nature Conservancy’s Hauser Center. Also nearby, within a short drive, was an organic market, traditional supermarket, butcher who sells top quality and exotic meets and a Wawa.

Lidie's place was great! Truly enjoyed the clean home. The fenced in backyard was key for our dogs and was beautifully landscaped. A real gem in the Poconos!

Clean, comfortable, extremely relaxing cottage in a quiet location. Wonderful hot tub. Hosts are close by and wonderful!!! Loved the fenced yard for our dog. Close to many nice towns to explore. Highly recommend.

This place is such a gem. The cottage is so cute, comfy, and cozy with an absolute dream kitchen and outdoor spaces. It's really easy to get to and a great location to accessing so many trails and parks and neighboring bigger cities. The owners are also very friendly and helpful and even left some doggy treats for our puppies which was so sweet. Definitly recommend staying here!

Clean, quaint, quiet, everything you need and more, cozy, very well managed. The host met us at the property, went over all features of the home, were quick to respond to questions.
The grounds were kept nicely and very pet friendly.
We stayed in April with lots of rain and a bit of snow. Based on the grounds I could only imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer and fall. The back yard is cute with a nice garden getting ready to sprout!
I would come back for sure!

Great little cottage to get away and relax. Owners take care and effort to make your stay even more enjoyable with a welcome bag, fresh linens/towels and basics. No need to leave unless you want to. We have stayed numerous times and plan to return again.

My husband and I wanted to have a nice quiet get away to celebrate being together for 10 years. We are not winter people so it was important to us to find a nice cozy cabin. Lidie's Place was everything we wanted and more! Communication with the host was very easy, we were greeted upon arrival and shown around the cottage, which was a nice touch since we didn't have to guess where anything was or how anything worked. It was a very snowy weekend, but we were nice and cozy between the hot tub outside and the fire place in the living room. We brought our dog with us and it was nice to have a fenced in yard for him to play. The cottage was decorated for Valentine's Day which was such a nice touch! We had a wonderful celebration and would definitely come back again!

Perfect couples trip not too far from home. We really enjoyed the hot tub, and our dog loved running around the spacious backyard. We were even lucky enough to experience some snow! Would definitely come back.

This is the perfect cabin for a getaway from home. Not too far from the highway , but secluded enough to make you feel like you're in your own little world. The hostess was very kind and welcome when we arrived, and responsive when we checked out, but otherwise, it was just us. The cabin had everything we needed for a few days of relaxation. It was perfect.

We had a wonderful time at Lidie’s place! The cottage was very clean and well-appointed. The location was great, it was in a quiet and secluded neighborhood but still close to good hiking and restaurants/stores. Our dog loved the fenced in backyard and we all enjoyed sitting by the fire pit. The Kerricks made the process easy and were very responsive. Would recommend!

We stopped at Lidie’s Place on our way back from West Virginia. It was convenient off I-80, and was a great place to spend 3 nights. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog, it was too cold for us to enjoy it. We found a couple of Rail Trails in the area to ride our bikes. We were comfortable and the house had everything we needed for our stay.

We and our pups had an amazing weekend getaway at Lidie's Place! What an adorable cottage, and surprisingly spacious. Everything was immaculate and well-taken-care-of. We loved the backyard almost as much as our two pups! It was beautifully landscaped and we even had some starter wood for the firepit since a tree had come down recently! Woo-hoo! The hot tub was super-relaxing and I wish I could live in there! The kitchen is lovely, rustic and well-stocked. The beds were the most comfortable beds we've stayed in at a VRBO. Overall, we loved, loved, loved our visit! We will definitely be returning to Lidie's Place, hopefully for longer next time!

Very nice secluded cottage with spacious backyard and hot tub. Off the beaten path but close enough to all the local attractions. Our pup loved chasing the chipmunks all around the fenced in backyard. Hospitable hosts, would definitely consider staying again when we are visiting the area.

My family and I enjoyed all that Blakeslee and the surrounding areas had to offer. The property was conveniently located and private; it definitely reminded me of my grandmother's country home in PA. The backyard was big enough for our 80-pound dog to enjoy the sunshine and for our young boys to play before our daily adventures. We did a lot of cooking at the property. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you need. The linens were a huge convenience, as we enjoyed the hot tub nightly. We thank you for your hospitality.

We booked this cottage as it was close to our family and we were able to bring our dog with us . The cottage is really nice and just as described. Was clean and owners made us feel very welcome and were very accommodating. We revived a welcome bag that was thoughtful for us and the dog! The fenced yard and hot tub were incredibly appreciated . We definitely plan to come back on our next family visit !

After being 'Wowed' by our stay in the cottage last year (2K22), it was a no-brainer to return to Lidie's Place this year! Everything about the property, location, amenities, nearby shopping, is perfect! (also it's close to Pocono Raceway) There is nothing that the Kerrick's haven't thought of or provided for a guest's comfort and convenience. Thanks!

My mom, who is 82, born in Pennsylvania has never been to the Poconos. This was her dream to visit. We stayed 2 weeks and visited all the quaint towns. It was fun. The cottage was perfect, clean and tidy and with all the items we needed. The Kerricks were very responsive to our text messages and on our last night we had a bad storm causing loss of power. They brought over a LED lamp for us. We would stay here again!

My partner and I recently stayed with our two dogs while we were in town for some antiquing and hiking. The house was the perfect place to relax in between activities. The area is really quiet and such a breath of fresh air when you’re used to city living. The backyard feels secluded with the privacy fence and makes it even easier to unwind in the spa. Fully enclosed backyard was perfect for the dogs to be outside with us too. The kitchen had the essentials that we needed to make some meals at the house, and the bathroom was fully stocked with towels. Even had a washer and dryer we could use. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a secluded get away!

My husband, dog, and I all very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was very clean, cozy, and well stocked. The fenced in back yard was a plus for us and our dog. We loved turning on the fireplace each night and the hot tub works wonders on sore muscles from hiking. There are many activities to complete close to the cottage and within an hour or two drive for exploring. Safe and quiet neighborhood, very private feeling. Had a great stay and would love to stay there again in the future. Very highly recommend.

Cute and clean cottage. Easy check in and good communication with owners. We had such a nice time. We enjoyed antiquing, good food and the hot tub was relaxing. We enjoyed Chat-N-Chew breakfast, Murph's Hideaway and Nick's Lake House for dinners. Highly recommend.
