A well appointed cabin in the whispering pines. Our family met here for a week of fun and games. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was big enough for us all to cook together. Plenty of room for game night or escaping to a quiet corner to read. Clean with a private back yard. A wonderful choice for our group.

We had the best time! We loved the house and its spaciousness! We played a lot of games at the large table, cooked most of our meals all week there, and there was enough room for us to be completely comfortable. The kitchen had every necessary item for cooking! Our stay at 2253 was amazing! Everything about the house was top notch. The kitchen is so user friendly and will labeled. The sitting area around the fireplace is very inviting. The bedrooms were big and spacious with extremely comfortable beds. Although we where there for the epic 5 ft of snow the streets where still passable in front of the house, the two stall garage was very convenient. The only draw back I had and this has nothing to do with the amenities of the house which are amazing, was the snow service only came twice in the mornings. Extremely satisfied with the house!

Nice quiet location in neighborhood.Fenced in yard great for dog (although access is on first floor, while main floor is 2nd floor, so you have to go down 2 small flights of stairs to get to backyard).Light switches were perplexing, and minimal space for food storage due to pantry being locked off, and all other kitchen cupboards stocked. Minor issues, and would stay again!

Terrific house in a quiet South Lake Tahoe neighborhood. Convenient to all the hot spots from Emerald Bay and around to Zephyr Cove but away from the congestion and crowds. My wife, two daughters, one son-in-law and one granddaughter had a great time. The house was a delight. Our only quibble is that the quality level of the provided toilet paper and paper towels could be better. After a long day of hiking and having all kinds of fun, we really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub.

Kitchen refrigerator was not working properly. The management knew this but neglected to tell us until we called. We had to use refrigerator down stairs and in garage. We were there for a week, so it was a big hassle moving food, drinks back and forth to cook and make meals. They gave us $50 off a night, but that wasn't worth the inconvenience. Other than that the place was 5 stars in all ways

Snow is one thing that we don’t have in SD, mainly the reason we go to Lake Tahoe. This property is so far the best house we have stayed. It is well maintained. Its spacious and kitchen is complete with everything we needed.. the freezer in the garage is also a plus . The cooking/ heating system is perfect. The location is also easy accessible to everything and it is a quiet neighborhood.. definitely will come back again ..

This was the perfect house to escape for the weekend. Close to the mountain and town but still felt removed enough to enjoy the scenery without houses blocking you. The open layout made for great nights in and the hot tub was clean, hot, and a perfect end to a ski day.

Heavenly Solitude always meets our expectations. This was our 4th time here and view it as our winter get-a-way home. The home provides everything a family needs to enjoy the snow of Tahoe and yet have the comforts of home. The accommodations are beautiful, and the location is convenient. However, if you have toddlers, please consider a different property. I confirmed with RNR via their online request form, phone calls and emails that this house was appropriate for our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. We had planned to use the provided porta-crib and booster seat. The crib was great, but the booster was lacking straps to attach to a chair and also to restrain the baby. No choice but to hold the baby in our laps each meal. Our biggest disappointment was the stair banister. We had been assured that we could bring our own baby gates but discovered the banister configuration did not allow for a standard gate. It appeared to have had a custom gate at one time, but it was not on the premises. I called immediately and was very surprised to have them tell me they were aware that a baby gate would not work at this property!!! They sent representatives out to try and come up with something, but they also said they were aware of this issue and there was nothing they could do. At one point they suggested WE drive to Carson City Target and buy something that might work. I reminded them that their representatives said a gate would not work here. The next day, their solution was to bring us a free-standing dog gate and instructed us to push furniture up against it to block the opening at the top of the stairs. Imagine a tri-level staircase (main living area top floor) with a 15 mo. new walker and a 2 1/2-year-old. We had no choice but to move the parents into the bunk beds with the two-year-old to prevent him from getting up and falling down the stairs. And eyes had to be on both kids at all times. So stressful, we left a day early. Everyone we spoke to at RNR was truly kind and concerned. It was just a bad match and misrepresented from the start. If you don't have little ones, 100% suggest this property. It was beautiful and well stocked.

Great place met all are needs. except for a couple things :the out door balcony guard rail off the family room patio seemed a little un secured and wobbly in some places, also the out door chairs are a bit worn holes starting in webbing. Would defiantly come back for sure.. You just need to bring a change of clothes, all else is there. PS they sent us a message my husband left a prescription behind there are sending it int the mail. this before we even got home. Love RNR vac. rentals

The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults. It was clean and had everything we needed (except a can opener-so we bought one and left it). I appreciate that there is plenty of soap, shampoo, dish soap, laundry soap, and toilet paper and paper towels. The location is great. It’s close to SLT activity and central to exploring east and west sides of the lake.

Nice home but need better cooling. Very hot week in South Shore this week and current ceiling and portable fans not adequate. Extremely hot inside. Many stairs to the back yard - should have been stated. Lots of rules to follow. Some unsafe items - upper deck umbrella is unsafe and hot tub plastic steps need to be securely anchored to ground - slippery when wet. Nice new hot tub. Lovely tranquil back yard.

Great Home for Family and Friends
This was a great house for our friends and family. There was plenty of space and it was clean. The only downside was that there is no air conditioner so it was warm in the house during the day. The location was good. It was a short drive to stateline.
