This was a lovely motel. Perfect location only a 5 minute walk from the Lake. Staff very helpful. The room was lovely and clean and although very outdated had loads of character and charm. We only stayed for one night as passing through on a road trip but had a lovely nights stay.

There was nothing we did not like.

The room was hard to get into as the bed and door were an inch in proximity. The bed was comfortable but too tall and difficult to get onto for my children. The bathroom window had graffiti on it, and we had to tighten the faucet cap as well as the shower head becaus e they were loose and sprayed water all over the wall. The location is close to everything however we were unaware of the current conditions of the building, as the busy season had not started, we didn’t know when we pulled up if we were in the right place. The office was closed, there were dumpsters with debris in them and several boarded up rooms with fire damage. It was very confusing. I though it was all closed for demo because the first thing you see when you pull in is that what may have been a nice poor is now a dump of asphalt and broken patio furniture, cones and caution tape.

The hotel owner/manager was also running the hotel next door and no one was physically available at the Pinewood Inn. A few of the rooms were boarded up like they had been broken into.

I got an email telling me to go to the hotel next door to check in. The owner manager was operating both hotels, with no staff at the Pinewood Inn.

Excellent value for the money! Room was spacious and clean, so do the bathroom. It was really close to Lake Tahoe and hikes we wanted to take. Nice cafés few minutes car ride away. I would defenitly recommend this place.

comfortable budget hotel near Heavenly Gondola and Lake Tahoe. Especially large room that fits ski gear and also a sofa.

No coffee in room, but I’d read that so came prepared. Nice microwave and refrigerator provided.

Excellent location. Room has recently been renovated to decent standard.

Room was very cold, heater too loud to have on overnight, requested extra bedding and no reply. No staff on hand to assist. Had to go to motel next door for assistance.

Walls were extremely thin, and other guests were up till over 3 a.m. to where I can hear everything. Room was so small. I don't even believe the bed was actually a queen
