The breakfast and lunch buffets were perfectly decent.

I specifically asked if the pool was open, I was told it was under maintenance but that all things considered, we could still use it. It turns out that the thing under maintenance was the cleaning system meaning the pool was not particularly clean. This, added with the strong smell of urine in the bathrooms near the pool have the feeling of an unsanitary place, something I did not expect at this price point. Over all, the Royal Orchid feels like a hotel that was very fancy when it was originally built, but which has not been cared for during these last few years and has been allowed to deteriorate. Now, I have no problem with a worn location. That can be charming. But when it starts to smell of sewer, then I cannot relax and that is when I start complaining. In addition, something had clearly gone wrong with the lunch buffet right before we arrived because many food items were missing and there were piles of dirty dishes. However, that was properly sorted out before dinner was served. Final note: the “all inclusive” package is actually a “full board” as no drinks and no snacks are included.

Honestly, nothing. Waste of time, effort, and money.

Just about everything. There was nobody to even welcome guests at the reception. There's no clear indication where the Reception is. And just about everyone in the staff spoke in Hindi as opposed to English. Assuming all guests speak Hindi as the primary language is a recipe for disaster. Nobody who willingly even reached out for assistance. Room service, housekeeping, an utter zero. We had to call them up multiple times just for a refill of drinking water. Unkempt surrounding. Dusty restaurant, like, literally seemed like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. Servers at the cafe looked clueless; they desperately need to go through a well-recognized finishing school. Staff running the cafe didn't seem passionate about the variety of food they put up, neither did they seem interested in keeping quality in check. Bakery items were an utter zero, food was tasteless, menu remained the same throughout. Heck, they basically can't even get the beverage right!!! Tea and coffee were nearly stale being kept in the flask for long hours. Royal Orchid, Allasandra desperately is crying for an intervention! Sorry, Team. But the stay was an utter disappointment
