The place is very conveniently located just minutes from the airport in a very ugly urban town. The staff were nice and the airport shuttle is free. However, this hotel has seen better days. There were very serious issues with cleaning. The bathroom had mold between the tiles, the faucets were dirty and the toilet disgusting. The sheets were so old that they were worn. The sheets didn’t cover the mattress correctly, so you ended up sleeping directly on the mattress.

Location to airport and free shuttle at 4? Am was terrific. Since we had to leave at 4:00 a.m. they packed us a bag breakfast to take to the airport. Very considerate staff! And price on $60 USD was very welcome.

The inability to take advantage of the transfer, either to the airport or to San Juan, as indicated on the booking site, as it is not available. The cleanliness of the bathroom and the lack of a soap holder in the shower. Details that can be improved but that do not spoil the pleasant stay

For the price it was fine. Fans worked in bathroom just a little loud in morning but we were only there bc our plane came in later in evening and needed a place to sleep before heading out.

No A/C. No screens on windows. Got eaten alive by mosquitoes. Beds are hard as a rock. Extremely noisy neighborhood. Sounds like they are testing jet engines.

Room was so small I could hardly move. Bed was uncomfortable. Thin, hard mattress that sloped. One flat pillow. Airplane noise, but that’s to be expected.

This hotel was located close to the airport so getting there was very simple using an Uber. Staff were nice and very helpful.

Door to the room seemed very flimsy. A good kick and you’d have your foot through the door.

Nice little spot with a free shuttle to the airport. When I arrived, I went to use my credit card and it wasn't working. Turns out it was frozen due to a fraud attempt! I was able to go to the nearby City Mall to get a phone call and call the bank. It was eventually sorted. The Melrost staff were helpful and patient. They also allowed me to store my luggage there at the end of my trip despite not renting a room. Very king especially after a bit of a challenging trip.

I wish they had a land line where I could've called my bank from, but I doubt many Costa Rican hotels do!

The location is perfect! Tucked away from the main roads in its own urban oasis but close to the airport and good breakfast to send you away after a comfortable night.
