Great place for a first or last stopover en route for Calais. Good breakfast. All round good value. Plus Laon is a very interesting town with an amazing cathedral. Second time we have stayed here and we would certainly come again.

Charming old building, not a run-of-the-mill hotel. Large room and bathroom, plenty of space. Great location for walking round town. Free parking in nearby square.

No car access to drop off bags (but not too far from the square). Room overlooking the street - noisy drunks in the early hours.

Fabulous location. Incredibly friendly and welcoming host who kindly arranged breakfast for us early. We were very pleased with our choice of hotel.

Slightly noisy buzzing sounds whilst trying to sleep, but not really a problem.

Breakfast was excellent and so was the Location. The hotel is quirky but we enjoyed it.

The pillows were my only complaint. They were lumpy .

My husband and I travelled with our adult daughter. We were expecting one room but we were delighted to get a two room suite on the top floor- great value. Breakfast is traditional French which suited us.

very disappointing room, not fantastic cleanliness, extremely poor breakfast ( no fresh cheese/ham, no eggs, just spreadable cheeses ( 1 each for the 2 of us!)), no offer of compensation for the disappointing feedback

The suite (the entire top floor of the building) was just enormous. There is definitely room for a family of four here! There are two toilets and a separate bathroom. The entire hotel (including the room) are intentionally made to look old! But everything was spotless and comfortable. We were actually thrilled to be in an authentic historical building. This isn't Disneyland – it's the real McCoy. But the visitor should be prepared for this and not a crummy, pitiful motel-type room. The hotel is smack dab in the middle of the pedestrian zone -- which is the heart of this resurgent Medieval town. The breakfast is modest (but inexpensive) and it was perfectly adequate for our needs.

A nice old castle like house, in the center of the medieval city. The guy from the reception, very friendly and helpful.

The location was great . Close to the cathedral, shops, bars and restaurants. There is a public car park very close to the hotel and very convenient. The hotel is in a very old building with lots of beams and original features but has been modernised for modern comfort yet keeping the an original style. The breakfast was very good and very good value at 7 euros. The welcome was wonderful, very friendly and extremely helpful throughout our stay. I really hope to stay here again and can thoroughly recommend it.
