La Casa São Pedro, renovada en 2012, consta de dos elegantes y espaciosos apartamentos de tres habitaciones con muebles contemporáneos y una decoración suave que crean un alegre ambiente de verano. Idénticos en cada detalle, cada apartamento tiene una sala de estar con un sofá de estilo ratán y sillones, chimenea, televisión y un balcón o galería bañada por el sol de la mañana. La cocina-comedor totalmente equipada, de planta abierta, es una zona social llena de sol con un balcón o porche orientado al sur y vistas parciales al mar. Dos habitaciones dobles y una doble tienen una decoración individual y comparten dos baños independientes. En el exterior, la refrescante piscina y el solárium gozan de un alto grado de privacidad, con una barbacoa para comer al aire libre en esas largas noches de verano en el Algarve.
Al lado del pintoresco y pequeño puerto, los restaurantes al aire libre miran hacia el estuario del río, y la magnífica playa de Alvor está a poco más de 1 km de estos magníficos apartamentos vacacionales en el Algarve. We have spent 2,5 Weeks at Maria’s House. We had a very good time. The surrounding was perfect for us and Maria was a very polite and gentle host. We found everything what we needed in the condo. Pool was great and always clean. Thump up.

We visited this lovely apartment in Alvor as 3 older female friends in September and had a fabulous time. Maria is the perfect hostess and communication prior to our arrival was really helpful and Maria was really friendly and welcoming on our arrival. The apartment was huge, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The lovely sea view from the lounge balcony was a real bonus and the pool area was really well proportioned with the pool being plenty big enough for larger family groups. The location is great being about 5 mins walk from the centre of Alvor with a little further to the beach. There are 2 supermarkets within a few mins walk which were reasonable and had plenty of choice. Overall a very relaxing stay and we can’t wait to return.

Great apartment, great location and great host. Apartment is just as listed on website. In a quiet residential road but within easy stroll to Alvor centre, beach and supermarkets. We had use of pool to ourselves as other residents in apartment above us did not use the pool. Well maintained pool, cleaned everyday and is a good size. Much needed after a hot sunny day. We were met on arrival by Helena and were shown around property, which is large and well equipped, and she arrived at door after a few days to change bedding and towels - much appreciated. We can not fault the property at all and would not hesitate to stay again, hopefully soon. Thank you again for welcoming us to your apartment

Lena is a lovely hosts and helped us settle in and is very friendly. The accomodation was perfect for us with 2 separate families staying on each level of the villa. The location was perfect for shops, restaurants and bars with a nice 5 minute walk to the harbour I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Lena.

My family and I stayed in this property for a week. Our party was 4 adults and 2 children, being a baby and a toddler. The property was ideal for us as it was centrally located, as well as being a short walk to the beach. The property boasts ample space and was very clean and well equipped, including a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, which was perfect for our young family. We had exclusive use of the pool for the week which our 3 year old loved, though do note it is quite deep (approx 2 metres or more) at one end. The property owner stays below the property and was extremely helpful. We had a small (self-inflicted) problem with the lock at the property and this was immediately resolved. We had a great holiday at this property and can’t wait to return. I would highly recommend it.

Just back from 2 week stay. Lena is a brilliant host, always on hand if needed but never intrusive. Alvor is lovely little town with lots going on only a few minutes walk away but the apartment was very peaceful. Really nice beach is about 10-15 min walk away and there are also nice beaches with an inflatable obstacle course about 5 mins drive away at Priara de Rocha. The kids loved the pool and overall a great holiday.

We really loved our stay at Lena's apartment. She greeted us with a big smile late at night and made us feel very welcome. The apartment is ideally located and very spacious. There was everything you could need in the kitchen which was great as we love to cook. We did make use of the BBQ and cooked fish from the local market. We slept so well as the beds were very comfortable. We hope to return again to Lena's apartment agin in the future. Thank you Lena

we were a party of 6 adults staying for a week at this lovely villa. The villa was so convenient to the centre of Alvor - a lovely 10 min stroll and the beautiful Alvor beach a further 5 mins walk away. the location of the villa meant that we never had to avail of taxis! All in all a great holiday

We booked this Villa after viewing many others in Alvor. We thought this was the best Villa available & we were not disappointed. Lena & Gil were fantastic hosts & were always keen to help us have a great time. The Villa is in walking distance of the local supermarket & the lovely Village of Alvor. The newly refurbished bathrooms were a joy to use & having 2 balconies we could be in the sun & out of any wind. We were so impressed, we have booked to return next year.An earlier review mentioned dogs next door but we didn't see or hear any evidence of this.

Would definitely recommend to a friend. This is an extremely well equipped and spacious apartment. The swimming pool is spotless and loads of sun loungers and chairs. Very close to the gorgeous centre of alvor and not to far to miles of beautiful beaches. All within walking distance and no need for a car (we walked everywhere with ease with 3 year old twins). The apartment has everything you want with loads of space. The bathrooms are about to be re-done and when this is done I would give it 5 stars. The owners are lovely and very helpful with any queries. Would go back to this apartment without hesitation. Thank you very much for a lovely holiday Lena!

Casa Sao Pedro is a lovely appartment which is perfectly situated for everything.
It has everything you could wish for and a wonderful swimming pool , as we had rented both appartments we had sole use of the pool which was brilliant and the water was warm.
Lena and Gil the owners were the perfect hosts and provided us with fresh fruit salad and tomatoes.
10 of us went on this holiday and the ages ranged from 11 to 65 and we all had an unforgettable experience and would return, recommend it to others.

We had a really great holiday in Alvor. Apartment is excellent, clean and very well equipped. Location great - quiet but close to the town. We all enjoyed the contrast of having our own pool yet being relatively close to the beach. Lena was also great with her advice and the fruit salad she treated us with on one of the mornings of our holiday was excellent! Great location for a relaxing Portuguese holiday.

We stayed on the middle floor of this villa. It really is huge! £ spacious double bedrooms with two full bathrooms. There really is everything you could need and more. Having two balconies was great too, if it was too hot on one you could just go to the other!
The apartment is only a few minutes walk to the town. It is situated on quite a steep hill, but its only about 50 metres so manageable.
I was initially a little concerned that Lena and Gil lived on site, but this wasn't a problem attall. They are two really lovely people who do everything they can to make your holiday a great experience but are never intrusive.
We would certainly stay in one of their properties again

We (a group of 6 friends) have just returned from a 15 day stay at CASA SÃO PEDRO (top apartment) in Alvor. It was wonderful.The apartment was clean and well maintained. The fully equipped kitchen makes self catering very easy. The apartment has a full cooker (4 hobs and an oven), a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee making machine and washing machine and all the utensils and crockery you could wish for. There is also Wi-Fi facilities which makes keeping in touch with family so much easier and less expensive than 'phoning. There is a big supermarket, (Pingo) with an excellent deli counter, nearby and restaurants, a fish market and beach just a short walk away. Our hosts Lena and Gil made us feel very welcome and as they live on the ground floor were always available had we needed them, which we didn't as everything was perfect. This is the 8th year running that we have used Lena and Gil's properties, sometimes twice a year and we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in Alvor. This was a really relaxing holiday and we are looking forward to returning in October 2014 for a further 12 days. On this occasion we will stay at the villa as we will be a group of 8 persons. I would strongly recommend this property and frequently do to family and friends.

Once again we return to spend our winter in Alvor, this is our 4th year in this apartment.We feel like we are part of Lena s family as we always receive such a warm welcome and we keep in touch whilst in the UK.
Since we left in April 2013 Lenahas installed a dishwasherand new fridge, fitted the main bedroom with a larger bedand more of the rooms have air conditioning units.
We love spending our winters out here and we spend a lot of our time playing golf on the excellent Pestana Courses.
The apartment is ideally situated and so close to all the restaurants, bars and shops that Alvor has to offer. THe beach and boardwalks are fantastic.
As previously reviewed it is so helpful to have the owner Lena living on site to assist you with any problems you may encounter.
We look forward to spending many future winters here.

We arrived on Friday 30th August - The family - 5 Adults & 3 babies - ages 13months and twins at 22months - to be met by the most welcoming couple Lena & Gil the owners. Immediately they took my twin girls hands and showed us all around the beautiful swimming pool area and the apartment. I have to say we were stunned by the amount of beautiful flowers everywhere around the villa and the pool and the refreshing colours and comfortable furniture in the interior - we honestly couldn't have wished for better. Everything was perfect and the villa is about a 3min walk to the nearest supermarket and all the restaurants, cafes and bars which was perfect with the childrens pushchairs. The pool i would say is probably one of the largest private pools we have had in a rented villa and there is an abundance of sun loungers and inflatables at the pool also. The area is so quiet considering being so close to everything in the town which made it so relaxing and helpful putting babies to bed at 7.30pm and for the adults to relax on the balconies in the warm summer air having a drink at night. We honestly did not want to come home and if we ever needed anything Lena and Gil were so helpful we thank them so much for a lovely holiday and will definately go back soon!

We did have a wonderfull and relaxed Holliday. We rented a very Nice Villa in Alvor. Everything we need was there at the house, even a dishwasher, and we had lots of space! a nice pool for the kids.. do You need more! From the Villa you just cross a road and than you're in de center of alvor. Everything is nearby, even a big supermarket by 5 min. walking! so... we did have a great time and a very nice stay in the Villa!!

Just returned from a week's stay in this villa in Alvor on a golf holiday with 3 friends.
It is our eighth golfing holiday in the Algarve. We normally stay in a hotel with single rooms which is expensive so this time we decided to try a villa.
I found this villa on the internet and booked by email so was a bit apprehensive until we got there.
I had nothing to worry about. The villa is spacious, extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. There are 2 twin rooms and 1 large double bedroom. There are 2 bathrooms with wc, bath and shower in each. It has a large lounge with large tv and a well equipped kitchen with dining table that seats 8. There is a small but adequate swimming pool.
It is located only two minutes walk to the bars and restaurants in Alvor but in a quiet street. Alvor has many high quality restaurants and excellent beach and a nice small fishing town ambience to it.
The owners are a lovely elderly couple. We were delighted to find a freshly made fruit salad in our fridge one day after returning from our golf, it was delicious.
We played 5 courses all less than 30 mins drive and all in top class condition.
I would recommend this property to golfers or families. We hope to return in the not too distant future.

We rented the two apartments giving us 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 lounges and 2 kitchens. They were very clean, well fitted out and very spacious. They are situated in a quiet area near the centre of Alvor where there are many good restaurants and pubs. The large pool at the rear of the house meant that we were able to relax during the day.
The owners, who were living on the lower floor, were helpful and available but not intrusive.
I would certainly recommend them to anyone visiting Alvor.
