Delightful true Maine experience in cozy cabin 2 minute walk from very private beach. Rustic as expected but lots of kitchen equipment and toys for all ages. Would definitely go again!

This is the perfect property for a family of 6 for a family vacation. Great swimming access. So much to love and have no complaints. Morton and Furbish staff do a great job making sure we have everything we need.

We really enjoyed our stay at this very private house. It's roomy and comfortable, the basement and ping pong is a great asset for rainy days. Kitchen is well equipped and it's nice having a canoe and rowboat to be able to get out on the water. The sandy beach made it possible for everyone (all abilities) to enjoy swimming. The only drawback (4 vs 5 stars) is the single shower (upstairs is only 1/2 bath), but we made it work. Our family was very happy for our one week stay and we hope to return next year.

Summers cottage hosted a repeat enjoyable week on Mooselookmeguntic Lake for our extended family. The week was initially affected by hotter than usual temperatures and smoke from the Canadian forest fires though both those conditions were eased by a rain-day that dropped the heat and cleared the air. Rest of the week was typical wonderful mountain-Maine July.
Summers offered plenty to do outside and inside that kept us all busy. Beach-time benefitted from the heat and high water and made swimming more pleasurable, even for the new infant.
The cottage and grounds were well-maintained and new pots/pans helped the cooking.
Morton & Furbish rental agents provided their usual top-flight service in facilitating rental arrangements and cottage preparations. Thanks y,all!

Another successful fishing trip in the books. Great camp, great boat access, remote and quiet. The fishing was slower this year than last year, but still caught a few nice brookies and a couple nice salmon. We will be back again without a question!

The Summers house is situated on a beautiful lake. The house is kept really well and was very clean. The layout is great and very functional. There was plenty of room for 9 of us, and yet, very cozy. The house is well-stocked and comfortable.
I also really appreciated that the homeowners were environmentally conscientious. Even though the home was a log home, it was well sealed and equipped with heat exchange heating and a heat exchange hot water heater. I was surprised at how good of an insulator the logs were. Only thing I recommend is a generator to power the basics like the water pump. The power went out for a couple of hours, and that meant that we had no water since electricity is needed to pump well/lake(?) water. Two toilets meant we had exactly two flushes between 9 of us. It also meant that there was no heat. It worked out fine with the wood fireplace because it was in the 30s outside, and the power outage was for two hours only, but things could have been easily not so pleasant.

Summers is the perfect cottage for a multi-generational or multi-family setting. There is lots of sleeping space for adults and kids. The beach area is great for little ones and older folks who want to sit and enjoy the water. We highly recommend Summers and hope to return next year!

5 Stars
We had an absolute blast staying at Summers, everything was great. We had 8 guys there for a spring fishing trip, the beach was great for keeping the boats, the sleeping arrangements were perfect, great lay out. The fishing was good, caught a lot of salmon 19-21” and several 14-15” brook trout. We will be back for sure!

Perfect family getaway
The Summers cabin was perfect for our entire family to enjoy. The house accommodated all 8 guests and dogs. Pet friendly and perfect for all ages. Our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed the beach area, as did we all. It was very safe, clean and great for him to wander the beach and play in the water. The views are amazing. We spent our nights around the camp fire roasting s’mores and star gazing. It was a nice short walk from the cabin to the beach for little ones and seniors. On rainy/windy days the living space was big enough for all of us to relax, play games, etc. Kitchen was well stocked. It had everything we needed and more. It was nice to have two areas for all of us to dine in between the screened in porch and dine in kitchen. We had a wonderful time. Will be back again. Highly recommend.

Summers
We've been coming to Rangeley for over 40 years. We love it and our children and grandchildren have loved coming. Summers was a great cottage - lots of room, quiet and we loved the sandy beach - especially the little ones! Hope we are able to come back for two weeks next summer.

Summers
Summers provides a great opportunity to relax and enjoy Bugles Cove. Plenty of room for all, including kids and the dog, to adventure and play. The beach is grand all-day with sweeping views of Bald Mountain and the western range. Leisurely soak-up the sun, swim, and watch sunsets. The water level gradually deepens so it's safe for young kids to swim and canoe. Beds are good, too, so one may sleep well after an eventful day. Quiet, too!

Perfect getaway
You know those VRBO ads that show teenagers finally putting down their phones and engaging with their family? That happened for us on the shores of Mooselookmeguntic! We were looking for a quiet getaway and change of scenery. Nothing is really open in Oquossoc in April, and that was fine. We had a great time playing ping pong and exploring the shore. There are plenty of books, board games, and puzzles in the cabin. The beds are all super comfortable and the kitchen is EXTREMELY well-stocked (I have never been in a vacation rental with so many plates and bowls and bakeware!) (there is the world's slowest coffee maker, but that was kind of fun). We had a great hike up nearby Bald Mountain, which only takes about an hour to hike up, and has incredible views from the observation tower at the top. We're planning on coming back to this cabin when the water is warmer! All in all, a perfect getaway.

Spacious and cozy lakefront cabin
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at this spacious, rustic and cozy lakefront home. We gathered around the large fireplace each night reading books and playing games. The kids loved playing with all of the toys they found at the home and riding around the basement on the various bikes while the parents played ping pong. The beach was absolutely gorgeous and secluded, with a fire pit and chairs available for guest use. We spent an afternoon on the lake roasting hot dogs and s’mores and drinking hot cocoa under blankets in between scouring the beach for treasures and making our way out onto the rocks. Management company staff were professional and helpful when we called with questions, and the home was clean, with linens provided at no additional fee. We plan on coming back to this home again, and bringing friends!

Summers was Wonderful!
Summers was perfect for our family gathering of three generations. The kids loved the beach and we all spent a good part of the day in or on the lake. Our evenings were spent sitting around the table on the porch eating dinner and basking in the sunset. On a practical level, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking family meals, the beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and well supplied with games and a TV for the kids. There were also some water toys and a canoe by the lake that our gang loved. The team at Morton-Furbish was wonderful. They communicated all kinds of useful info before our trip and were responsive to any questions we had once we got there. (For example, we wondered if we could drink the tap water so MF contacted the owners who indicated yes, it was tested and potable.) Great property for a great trip.

Wonderful trip
We are always excited to come to the Rangeley area for our annual family vacation. Our stay at the Summers' property was a joy. There's plenty of room for everyone, and we love our days and evenings spent on the small beach area. Thanks again for a great stay!

Perfect for little ones
We truly enjoyed our stay at Summers. Cozy log cabin, multiple rooms, and everything we needed. The beach area and gradual entrance was ideal for small children (we traveled with kids aged from 1 to 7). I would give it five stars but with the heat the week we were there the house got quite hot and sleeping was not always comfortable.

Wonderful stay!
I have been coming to Mooselookmeguntic Lake my whole life - my dad has a cottage in The Barker, but it is too small to fit my family of 5 plus two dogs and it was so nice to have the space and privacy afforded by this location. Water view, plus boats to use, plus plenty of things to do inside if needed (we had beautiful weather, though). We usually rent a boat from Bald Mountain Camps to go tubing and waterskiing - this year their boat was damaged, so we rented from Saddleback Marina in Oquossoc and went on Rangeley Lake. (If you are a pet owner, be aware that they are not super pet friendly at Saddleback Marina - they did let our dogs go with us on the second day, but reluctantly the first day I had to stay home with them while my husband took the kids out.)

Great camp; great beach; good for kids
We enjoyed our stay. The beach is sandy and gradual and I'd imagine every better in the late summer as the lake gets lower. We loved the screened in porch and boat house right on the water. There is plenty of space. The outdoor shower and ping pong table in the basement are fun. We were happy to have access to the adult and kids bikes and plenty of watercraft free to use. I'd give it 4.5 stars if that was an option. The only imperfections were a couple things: the canoe and row boat were in pretty rough condition (but better to have some than none), the kitchen is a bit cramped, utensils (whisk, grilling tools) are lacking, and the lawn was a bit more limited than it seemed in the photos. Had a great time and definitely recommend this place!

Great camp and beach!
Excellent sandy beach for the kids, screened in lake front porch to watch the sunset from away from the bugs, and really nice camp overall. Nice to have loaner bikes (including kids ones) and canoes and row boat. Outdoor shower is a nice addition. Only complaints are: the canoe and row boat were in pretty rough condition (but better to have some than none), the kitchen is a bit cramped, utensils (whisk, grilling tools) are lacking, and the lawn was a bit more limited than it seemed in the photos. Had a great time and definitely recommend this place
