Room had been updated to an excellent standard, breakfast was good, and the location was perfect.

The central heating, we assume, had been turned lower, perhaps due to high fuel costs etc. but the room was distinctly on the chilly side. Not what we would expect for a premium listing. The final evening, the radiators were much warmer for some reason? Perhaps other guests had commented.

We have stayed before at this establishment when it was called the sunningdale it has been improved greatly the new breakfast room is exceptional.

The hosts were lovely people and really made us feel at home. A superb welcome from both of them. Location was excellent in a quiet area and some excellent restaurants nearby. Fantastic park opposite and Sealife Centre for the children was just down the road. Free parking was an extra bonus.

The family room was excellent and couldn't fault it but i found the double room disappointing for what i paid. It was very small and the bathroom layout was difficult to monouver as a disabled person. It was on the top floor as i had requested to be near the family room but did find all the stairs a struggle. The room could have done with a good deep clean too as the bathroom floor was dusty and there were cobwebs/spiders on view (ive a spider phobia). Finally, i found the breakfast expensive especially the childrens for what was offered. One of our children only had a sausage sandwich and glass of milk on both mornings and it cost £15 ???

Lovely small double room, perfect for a few nights away. Really clean and had everything we needed. (eg. Towels, tea/coffee station). The owners were really polite and helpful. The breakfast was really nice.

Could have done with a fan in warmer weather however this wasn’t a massive problem

A pleasant location overlooking the park, close to North Beach, cafes and restaurants. Siobhan and Simon were extremely welcoming and friendly.

It would have been nice had their been a public lounge( and ideally a bar!) Our room on the second floor, was a little small to chill in, before going out.

Excellent location for all north bay attractions. The bed was very comfortable and the room was perfect. The breakfast room was modern and airy, plus the breakfast was very tasty.. The hosts make you feel completely at ease and insist you treat the guest house as if it was your own home.

I would have liked some fresh fruit to choose from at breakfast.

Well situated in North Bay, quiet area, few cafe bars to have a drink, nice walks and beach area. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Comfy bed. Good breakfast.

The room is very clean and cosy. It was freezing that day, and the landlord was kind enough to provide us with heaters. The hotel offers the classical British breakfast, which is so good. I love the fried eggs and the sausages.

Excellent location for visiting the Open Air Theatre without massively inflated prices. Promptly shown to our room on arrival, nice comfy bed with decent bathroom facilities. Was perfect for our quick overnight stay in Scarborough.
