Villa Caletas is a very relaxing resort. We love staying here. The staff is magnificent - they are all so courteous and professional. It is so nice to see Adrian once again who always provides exceptional service!
Breakfast was wonderful and we did several days of it and quality and service was perfect. We skipped dinners as we had appetizers one evening and did not care for them. Not saying that the dinners are not good, but based on the apps we tried we decided to forego on dinner.

Gorgeous view
Hot tub didn’t work, it was cold.

I love the privacy of the room, the jacuzzi, the view, and every single detail in the room, it's obvious to me that great attention has been put to the architectural design of the hotel and particularly the junior suite in which we stayed.
The beach was a nice surprise, didn't have idea there was access to a private beach.
I wish I could stay longer.

Great view, great food and the staff was great.
Wifi didn't work well and coverage was limited.

quiet, privacy in rooms
lots of non guests at sunset. far far away room with no view at all.
only one pool. weird designed Pool, no stairs, but definitely a nice view.
it is very complex to arrive to the beach, and you can not swim. it is good to relax only

Quiet with great views although the jungle is beginning to encroach too much.
Ageing buildings. Ornamental drive overgrown and dilapidated. Staff rather disorganised and when asked a question always referred to a ‘co-worker’ before answering.

Beautiful property, amazing views and sunsets, lovely pool, helpful concierge.
Our room was, I think, the handicap room as it had two odd bathrooms. It was like an in-law suite for in-laws you don’t like, sort of hidden under the stairs by the parking lot with no windows except the glass block in the add-on bathroom. It was the only option offered with two beds. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, the phone didn’t work and the patio light was motion activated so it constantly came on during the night when critters came around (I assume that’s the reason). The food was mediocre at best and incredibly overpriced and without breakfast included (where else are you supposed to eat breakfast when you’re all alone on the top of a cliff!) our food bill overtook the room rate. The drinks as well were super high - 15-22$ for a cocktail is outrageous. The service in the restaurant was pretty slow given the fact that there were never more than 4 tables occupied, especially when waiting for the bill at the end of the meal. We always had to go ask for our bill as once the meal was served we never saw the guy again. The guy at the pool was great - the only really attentive server.

This hotel is in an Amazon setting.g that xan only be described as heavenly

Amazing views, beautiful room, great restaurant
Rate at hotel was significantly lower than rate booked and paid via booking.com Neither hotel nor booking.com took responsibility, but blamed each other. We paid over $100 per night too much, plus hotel said that their rates include breakfast but not if made via booking.com. We are very dissatisfied.

The beach is rocky, but private. Good for an Oceanside feel but the beach isn’t safe to swim

The view and the infinity pool are the best things about this hotel and you can tell they've been dining off this for years whilst letting other things degrade.
We liked the shuttle to the beach and the beach. This wouldn't be for everyone as it is stoney and not very swimmable but great for rock pooling!
The room was dirty especially the floor. The windows weren't clean which didn't help with the partial sea view.
The balcony was very dark having walls and roof above it so no light was getting in which made the room feel very dingy.
It smelt bad of damp and old unwashed pillows, bed, curtains.
The bedside lights were broken.
I had to disconnect the flashing glowing phone at night as it was too bright.
There was no mini bar.
They never changed the sheets.
All the furniture is old and battered.
And all this for an extortionate price which didn't include breakfast.
The service in the restaurant was unbelievably slow and terribly organised. Breakfast should definitely be included in this price as it's not worth what they charge for it.
Wine was overpriced.
The restaurant and hotel are massively overpriced for what you get. It was the most expensive place we stayed on our holiday but it was definitely one of the worst, neglected rooms we stayed in.
People come to the hotel just to use the bar and look at the view and I think that is all you need to do. Then go back to some cheaper, cleaner accommodation elsewhere.
