The breakfast was wonderful. A large selection of breakfast foods. Such an interesting facility in a beautiful setting.
Bed was a bit too firm.

Location is great
we were allocated in Colibrí room which resulted very noisy as the elevator is next to it.
5.0
The place itself and the view in particular!
Nothing in particular. Perhaps a bigger gym.
3.5
unique accomodation. 1 night is enough.
Horrible service. We forgot something in the hotel, and we are still in Uruguay, so we could go get it or it could be sent to us, but no one is answering e mails, messages or answering calls. This is very unacceptable.

The environment is a Wow!!!! Every sunset was a pleasure, the view from our room and from every terrace of the place are Gorgeous.
The history is a plus, the museum with Paez
Vilaró collection and it’s tabern are great.
The place is iconic and is dreamlike.
It’s a place to stay and rest and find yourself.
Staff is very friendly.
Kids allowed is a big question mark.
The general style is rustic but some small maintaining details may need attention. Nothing important.

The hotel is really pretty and has a lot to do - from yoga classes to sauna and 4 different swimming pools. It's an unique experience for sure. The breakfast was also really nice and every room has a private balcony.
It's impossible to have parking close to the sunset hour, and the hotel is far away from the city, so guests usually go by car. The security staff was also rude when we asked about parking, their response was literally "it's not my job to know this, what did the reception say? you have to ask them, not me". Also - the toilet paper is really cheap, which is not common for a hotel that is more of an expensive experience like this one.

More of a troglodyte folly than a hotel, a photogenic fantasy, with sunsets, sea birds and a short hike to a hidden beach. Decent dinner (the rack of lamb is perfection) and hearty breakfast are a bonus. The staff try their best. Definitely the most eccentric, magical place to stay in Punta del Este, if not the whole of South America.
It is relatively expensive, as you are paying for the high maintenance of white-washed "ruin", pretending to be a hotel. But worth it. $10 for hotel guests to visit the museum is penny-pinching. Another issue is that, without a car, you are paying for $25 taxi rides into town. The restaurant should focus on quality, crispy calamari over a large quantity of rubber bands.

The location is magnificent. The sunset and sunrise there are extraordinary.
The property should check the rooms before the guests arrival (the fridge was not working); the hours to access and leave the property are very late in the afternoon and very early in the morning (4:00 pm to check-in and 10:00 am to check-out); the charge for late check out of 30% of the rental fee is way too high.

Location, arquitecture, design, facilities
Needs a little more painting on exterior structures.

ode to the sun!!! best breakfast, clean, excellent staff, phenomenal experience!

Stunning views, comfortable beds and welcoming staff perfect for a couple of good nights rest. The hotel is a short drive from many beaches, restaurants and other activities. We dined at the restaurant one evening that hadn't received many positive reviews on several websites, but it turned out to be an excellent surprise, as was the hotel breakfast!
It is fairly remote should you not have a car, so that can limit what you're able to do and explore.

Location
Too many stairs, lack of maintenance, very old bathrooms

The entrance to the hotel for guests was not marked, we had to ask the ticket office of museum, who then directed us to museum, which we had to go through with all of our luggage. Only 15 minutes later were we let in to the hotel. For breakfast, we had to go through a door that said “closed” to get to the food. It was as though the hotel is a private club and you are supposed to know how it all works ahead of time. It was insanely bad for a first time guest, but I guess that’s what makes it a “club hotel”
