The staff was friendly, eager to help. Nice food, good breakfast
A bit outdated. Had a problem with no hot water in the shower but we were moved to another room, so we appreciated the eagerness of the staff to help.

The staff at the Chieftain were 💯 brilliant. There were minor issues which were rectified immediately, food was tasty & beer... that was oh so tasty too🤣, the location of the Chieftain was great and yet it was so incredibly quiet too. Breakfast was brilliant. We would definitely stay again 🥳

Very friendly staff, clean public areas, nice sports bar. Excellent service at breakfast. Very dog friendly.
Bed was a little small, but comfy enough. Window wouldn't stay open on its own, had to prop it open for cool air.

Very loud in Bar and a bit ott but I suppose it was too be expected as the Glasgow Derby was on that day......

Very dog friendly , and the staff couldn’t do enough for you , always had a bowl of water and biscuits for our 2 wee dogs muffin and Rosie ,
Hotel is just out of town , but only about about a 10 min walk and plenty of buses passing by

It was a lovely stay from start to finish and the food was very good and good choices and a small stroll into the town
There was one thing we were with a other couple it was getting a shower the bath was quit high for them to get into to have a shower

Our room was immaculately clean, the afternoon and night staff were very friendly and we had a good chuckle with them. All in all we had a lovely stay!
In the morning we went down for breakfast. My full breakfast was lovely, however my partner found 3 hairs in his meal. When we got the attention of the young man serving and told him we got a reply with “well I’m not sure what you want me to do about that” and walked away. Maybe some training for the younger staff wouldn’t go a miss

Spacious, very characteristic house. Cozy dining room and traditional pub.
It took a very long time for the ordered breakfast to be served.

Location was okay for our needs. Outside noise unfortunately could be heard traffic etc. Breakfast was excellent value.

The place needs a serious makeover, it is very dark and dreary for a hotel. The bed was rock hard as were the pillows.
