Comfortable room and ideally placed for walking into town. Friendly helpful staff. Allowed to park my motorbike directly outside reception with security cameras.

Good reasonable budget hotel which we used on a recent visit to watch our team play the local club. On the outskirts but a reasonable walk to both the new and old parts of the town. Modern basic hotel . Rooms clean and adequate with good buffet breakfast. Staff really friendly and helpful.

I'm struggling to find anything that I liked.

It's 30 minutes walking from the city center. From the room all we could see outside was a fuel station. The bed was not comfortable. There weren't even 2 pillows, only one big one which was like a rock. The bathroom was as tiny as it can get. The shower top part had mold. All the furniture and the whole place looked from the 80s.

Easy to find. Safe secure parking. Nice clean basic hotel supported by first class helpful staff. Evening meal was great value for money. Our thanks to Merce at reception for the assistance checking in and sorting out our parking. Additionally our thanks to Arancha who went above and beyond during the evening birthday meal for one of our colleagues. We travelled from Hotel Boa Vista in Porto to this hotel. Boa Vista could learn a lot from this hotel in relation to customer services and staff manners. Well done Ponferrada Plaza.

Great hotel a couple of minutes walk from the town centre, petrol station and supermarket market beside it. room was a decent size, breakfast was good also. I used this hotel as a stop over when traveling by motorcycle, they have a secure underground carpark.

first room stank of cigarettes so we asked for another room. second room wasn’t as bad but there was still a cigarette smell. the bed looked clean but we found quite a few hairs on the sheets. bathroom was clean.

Lovely spacious clean rooms. Delightful helpful staff. 15 mins walk to the castle and old town. Free parking at the side of the hotel.

Really nice hotel, staff were really friendly, our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived (early) so let us in the bar for free drinks. Rooms were exceptionally large, ours had a jacuzzi bath! 20 min walk into town which had a festival on for the beautiful castle. Plenty of shops/garages close by, would use again!

It was fine, no need to change, served our needs

The hotel was very easy to find with secure underground parking. We were only about a ten minute walk to the older part of town where there were plenty of places to eat and drink. In general the hotel was very clean and modern.

Unfortunately, we drew the short straw with the view - a view of the petrol station next door! When we enquired about breakfast, the instructions were not particularly clear and we sat for a while in the general cafe area without realising we should have gone through a small side door to the restaurant. However, when we found out this for ourselves, we then had to wait a long time for any sort of instructions as to the Covid procedures for breakfast (which had been in place in previous hotels we had stayed in. We also managed to get stuck in the secure underground parking area for over 20 minutes as a delivery lorry had blocked the exit and there seemed to no way of communicating with Reception who were controlling the electric door to the garage.

AC in the room and comfy bed. There's a huge parking lot in the other side of the street and the hotel is close to a ton of restaurants.

Too noisy. You could hear everything that was happening in the corridors. Also, the staff starts cleaning the rooms too early and since there's no sign of "Do not disturb" they will knock every door every morning.
