This was a wonderful place to stay for a quick trip away to the beach as a young married couple! It was beautiful and well stocked with everything you could need. We were very comfortable during our stay and beach supplies were provided. It was close to the beach, but far enough away to be quiet. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay!

This property is a perfect example of what a vacation rental should be. The hosts have thought of everything, and delivered beautifully. It was super clean, had high quality towels and bed linens, a well-stocked kitchen, quality paper products, comfortable bed, well-functioning appliances and a lovely beach-themed decor with unique wall hangings. The beach is less than 2 miles away, parking offstreet right outside the gate, nice fenced-in backyard, and a pet-friendly neighborhood I felt safe in. Communicating with the hosts was quick and easy. I stayed 7 nights, and would absolutely stay again. Thanks to John & Rachel for putting in so much effort to make this a wonderful vacation rental for your guests!

We have rental several homes over the years, but nothing compares to this one. Yes, it was clean and yes it was tastefully decorated, but it was the little things provided by the hosts that made the difference. We literally just had to take our clothes and make a quick stop to the grocery store and we were home. From the linens/towels and toiletries provided to the snacks and coffee/tea bar. Every time we thought we forgot something, we opened a cabinet and there it was. The thoughtfulness put into this rental was beyond anything we had ever experienced. Had our Golden with us and between the fenced in front/back yard and the dog park/trails down the street it was perfect. To top it off Va Beach is extremely dog friendly...so put it all together and you have a perfect getaway. Our hosts set the bar high for future trips, but this is one home we will definitely be returning to. Thank you and have a lovely summer!

Great little property, we especially loved the park at the entrance of the neighborhood which we took our dogs to daily! It's walking distance too which was great! Our only complaint was the bed. It was too soft for us but we are also used to a firm bed. The patio in the front was also great for enjoying the weather with an umbrella for when it was too sunny. Thanks for a great stay!

We loved the place. Easy access to everything. Only had issue with code for door on the first day trying to check in, but John and Rachel took care of it. On my next visit to Virginia Beach I will be checking on this rental for availability first. Thanks for a great experience.

These good folks take hosting seriously. The house was exactly as depicted and was immaculate, thoughtfully stocked, intuitively organized. Great location with a fabulous dog park a short stroll away, not far from the beach, quiet and pleasant neighborhood. Check-in process was seamless, and communication with them was first rate. I would absolutely stay with them again, and I wish all hosts were as passionate about their properties and their guests' experiences as these two are. Hats way off, and thank you!

We loved our stay here. The property was in a cute walkable neighborhood with trails to explore, and was minutes from the beach and popular restaurants. The bedroom was relaxing and the bed was so comfortable! The bathroom was stocked with quality toiletries and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The living area was relaxing with a super comfy couch! We would definitely stay again.

My husband and I always stay here when we visit Virginia, and we also bring our dog with us which is great that it is dog friendly. This was the first time we stayed near Christmastime and the house was beautiful decorated and welcoming. Everything you need is already there for you. This place is just perfect friendly neighborhood close to park and beach and restaurants and shopping. Can’t wait to come back again in 2024.

Just spent 8 nights in this wonderful accommodation. First time visiting Virginia Beach and we were not disappointed. Booked because of the previous reviews and so glad we did. We had another wonderful stay at the crab shack. Everything you need is supplied for you, we love that we are able to bring our dog along. Everything is close by the beach, the park. The crab shack is always nice and clean. Will definitely be returning again soon I love this place

This home was beautiful, clean, and perfect for a little family. The owners thought of EVERYTHING! You literally will only need to pack your clothes everything else is available for you and the location is close to beach and the strip! We will definitely be back.

The place was absolutely perfect. It was FULLY stocked when we arrived, you basically only need to bring your clothes and that’s it. John was very helpful and answered all my questions very promptly. We stayed for two weeks with our two dogs and the yard was perfect for them. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood and is about a 10 mins drive to the beach and all the attractions. We really had the best time and are very sad to leave..! We will definitely try to come again. Thank you for everything !

We enjoyed our stay at the Crab Shack very much. The front and back patio areas were lovely and the home was clean and well decorated with a beachy vibe. The hosts provided very nice amenities including welcome snacks and water both still and sparkling! In the bathroom you had everything you needed! High end shampoo, conditioner, body wash, makeup wipes and cotton balls and cue tips! Fresh linens were prepared plus extras in the closet along with beach towels! You even have access to beach essentials like chairs, coolers, umbrellas and carts. Overall, I would stay here again because of how comfortable the home was and it’s location to the beach and restaurants.

I can not say enough about this place! I refuse to stay anywhere else when we visit vb. It fits us and our 2 fur babies perfectly. There is a completely fenced in backyard as well as a fenced in front patio area that is nice to relax at in the evening. Any questions you have are answered quickly. I have never had a concern and have stayed multiple times. Great place and will alway base our vacation around when we can stay here!

This was our first experience staying at a VRBO. The Crab Shack is in a perfect location with perfect hosts who are so accommodating and have thought of everything! Literally everything we could ever need is at the property. Staying at The Crab Shack really made our VA Beach vacation enjoyable!

We loved this little house! We had everything we needed right at our fingertips! Delightfully decorated inside and out! Nice private courtyard in the front and back and the bed was very comfortable!! It was located just minutes from the beach and restaurants.

The house is lovely. Best feature was a fenced in deck in front of the house. Quiet street, but there are jets from the nearby Naval Base passing by occasionally which can be quiet loud, but it is not enough to be a problem. The Hosts considerately provided water, snacks and coffee. Bed very comfortable. My one caveat would be to bring your Netflix or Prime Video log-on info because they are not provided on the TVs there. We would definitely return here if visiting the area again. Thanks

We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely appointed one bedroom single level condo. It is attached on both sides to other units, but we never knew anyone else was there. The outside spaces are private and perfect if you plan to travel with your pup. Very comfortable furniture and a great shower with spa products. The kitchen was complete with everything for cooking meals and a very nice gas grill. Our hosts John and Rachel were kind and attentive to our every need. Don't miss a wonderful stay in their lovely home. You will not be disappointed!

Great little place oceanfront area. Close to everything. Awesome walking trails in neighborhood and new dog parks. House is clean and comfy. I always stay here when I am in town.

This home is so special. All new appliances, snacks provided, water provided. I just cant say enough about how cozy and clean this home is! My dog loved going outside to the front patio and also the backyard area. TV in the bedroom and also living room. I would love to own a home just like this one!

We loved our stay at the house. Perfect for our Golden Retriever we brought with us. Yard is fenced in back & front. They have everything you need. This was a great place for the 2 of us and our dog. She loved relaxing in the sunshine on the fenced in front deck. The hosts provided thoughtful amenities and it was very clean. The neighborhood is quiet except for the fighter jets. It actually was pretty cool to see them go over. It's not far from the beach, shopping, and restaurants. We would stay here again!

Can't say enough about how great this unit was. Very nice and quiet neighborhood on end of cul de sac. Unit was completely furnished and then some.K-cup coffee selection and snacks were delicious and perfect. Unit was very clean and decorated for Christmas season complete with tree. All appliances were clean and functional, house instructions book was a big help for local amenities & information. Location was perfect, very quiet neighborly atmosphere, fenced deck area in front, small yard in back. Dog park down the street was very clean and nice. I needed to make some last minute changes to our stay duration and host John was very accommodating and quick to communicate changes. Nice restaurants and beach very close, walking distance for us. The wife and I stayed for 19 days while our grandson was born and we enjoyed every minute and were sad to leave. Would absolutely recommend and rent this unit again.

This house fit all of our needs - dog friendly - clean - roomy enough for my husband and myself. Nice touches like: complimentary soaps, shampoo, lotion, Q-tips, make up remover pads, K-cup pods, snacks, water in refrigerator. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs. Never really got used to the sound of roaring jets overhead. Owner was very prompt with answering questions and providing information. We had a great visit to Virginia Beach.
