This property is in a great location for skiing at Timberline. Getting to the parking lot for Timberline takes maybe 5 minutes. The home is clean, well furnished and comfortable.

Our family of four and small dog had a wonderful relaxing time in this house! The open floor plan was very welcoming as was all of the natural light from the many windows. The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable as well. We loved playing on the shuffleboard, the only issue was there wasn't very much sand which made it tricky to keep the pucks sliding well. We're hoping to come back again!

We all really enjoyed the cabin and it's location. Everything in the cabin was very nice. Overall it was a great experience. We only had a few minor issues. The were mice droppings throughout a lot of the kitchen drawers, the oven had not been cleaned out (it began to smoke immediately when we turned it on), several living room light bulbs were burned out. Thankfully there were some spare light bulbs provided but not nearly enough, we ended up buying some to replace the rest. The thermostat was not especially user friendly, but like I said those were minor, but everything else was very nice. Plenty of clean towels, blankets, etc. The hot tub was great. We liked the gated entry point. I would defintely stay at again. I have stayed with Timberline cabins in the past and never had a bad stay anytime.

My aunt and I stayed here a week. It was so comfortable and was exactly what we needed. A safe, peaceful place to relax and make our home base for various day trips in the area. We went to Blackwater Falls, Cass Railroad, Elkins for the Gandy Dinner Theater. It was simply perfect. We enjoyed our privacy, and the ability to cook our own meals.
I would definitely rent this home again. We were really lucky to experience the beauty of this area.

Everything was fine except 2 things...there was dog hair throughout the whole house...even on the pillows of some of the beds. Also i pointed out to the property manager the amenities stated pool and spa. There is no pool and/or community pool. The management appeared to not really care

This was our third trip to this home with Friends. 9 of us stayed this year and we had more than enough space for everyone . The kitchen, living room and dining area are great for large groups. We had plenty of room to eat and play games. The location to Dolly Sods is wonderful for hiking. We will be back!

The house with it’s layout, fire pit and hot tub make this house a great place to stay. Another great reason to stay here is a short drive to the top of the mountain and you can hike into Dolly Sods. The only issue we found was the house was not well prepped nor cleaned. There was an empty paper towel tube and an empty soap bottle next to the kitchen sink. The bottom few steps had substantial lint and hair. We located the vacuum which was full of dog hair. Even with the lack of cleaning which we took care of, we would definitely stay here again. The only other recommendation I would give is to extend the roof over the hot tub. We really enjoyed it, but when the wind blew the snow off the roof, it was extremely cold on our heads.

We ad a great weekend at te property. The house inneat and very roomy. We had a lot of fun playing shuffle board. Enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing. Mostly well equipped, but could use a few items in the kitchen.

The house was as described in the write up and in the reviews. What a beautiful mountain setting in a secluded and convenient environment.
Some of the amenities are showing their age and are borderline ready for updates.
Unfortunately, the dryer was not working, and it was recently replaced, no fault of the owner, which made the cleaning process more challenging for the staff. Therefore, the home wasn't as clean as we thought it should be upon our arrival.
We had a good stay and the cabin was very convenient to Timberline for skiing and to many local hiking areas.

Homey, comfortable, warm. We appreciated the plowed driveway just before our departure due to its steepness and the 40 degree drop in temperature after rain. Also grateful for quick response from maintenance for a small problem.

1.I would like to suggest is that during winter season that supplies for making fire in fireplace be provided. etc. wood and something long to light the fire.
2nd suggestion would be to replace visibly stained mattress covering.
However my overall trip was fantastic. The pictures on line does not give the home the justice it deserves. The home was very well stocked, modern but comfy, and pretty much everything provided. I will be a repeat customer

Nice location, very close to Timberline, but also not far to White Grass or Canaan. We loved the hot tub after a long day of skiing. Great property and would recommend to others!

Beautiful, clean & private
Great place! Much bigger than pictures depict. Loved the open area with living room, kitchen and dining area with the fireplace. Loved the view from the deck and hottub! The kids loved seeing the deer walk through the woods. Kitchen has everything you need including spices and foil. The cleaning crew did a fabulous job getting the place super clean! Our girls loved the shuffleboard and played with it every second they could. My husband liked the fireplace and bought some wood at Canaan Realty. I really liked that they had puzzles available and finished a fun bird one during our stay. It snowed after our 2nd night there and it was a beautiful sight to see being in the woods up on the mountain. The drive up and driveway is a little steep in places, but we made it fine in our SUV. There are neighboring cabins, but they are spread out enough in a thick wooded area that I would consider it private enough for those that like privacy. We would definitely stay here again!

This property deserves more than 5 stars. It is clean, nicely decorated with moose/bear.
Everything was perfect. Clean house, very large rooms. Heat worked well, very comfortable beds, the hot tub was very relaxing. Showers and water had good pressure. The Canaan realty were very nice. TV in upstairs bedroom was very fuzzy, but downstairs had many options for shows. I did break my leg climbing Seneca rocks. And had to cut our trip short, but look forward to coming back when I’m fully healed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house.

This property was even better than anticipated. Grabbing the keys was easy, everything was clean onsite, and all the amenities were in excellent shape (hot tub, grill). Even the diversity and quality of kitchen items were well above average for a rental property. We'd seriously consider coming back here.

Great fall escape
Property is even better than represented in the photos, very clean, cozy, and perfect for one or two families looking to escape the hubbub. The hot tub on the deck was fantastic and the indoor shuffleboard was a lot of fun. Good WiFi too. Our only hiccup was the realty company who manages the rental, or maybe just the one person we dealt with, she didn’t really seem to know how to get to the cabin very well (said it was about 15 minutes south on the highway from the realty office..... it’s more like two minutes and then ten minutes FROM the highway back to the house) and did not provide any check out instructions. We ended up finding the house (after going way past it) just fine and dropped the key in the key pick up box when we left and all was well. A great weekend exploring Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, and Dolly Sods.... a TON of great hiking in the area!!!

We had a great family week together. Saw views like never before as we did alot of hiking and looked out over lots of mountain tops. Leaves were at their peek and so beautiful. Cabin was warm and cozy and felt like home for the week.

The property was very nice. Everything was as listed. We would rent again. There is cellular service, which was not the case when we rented a property here several years ago. We enjoyed the lakes and were impressed with how well they were maintained.

Woodhaven Rental
This property is spacious, clean and well-appointed. It appears to be very convenient to the slopes and inside a security gate. That said, you will have to drive everywhere. We brought bicycles, but it’s not convenient to ride them due to the gravel roads and steep hills
This is one of a few properties that has air conditioning and we thought it prudent to rent one in the middle of July. Glad we did, however the A/C did not really adequately cool the second floor. It is a preset thermostat, so we could only get it to cool down for a couple of hours before it would creep up again. Main level stayed cool. Tried calling the maintenance number but they told us to open the windows....

great place for a private party or a large party with friends and family
We were very happy with this property the description was spot on. It was nice having the hot tub on the upper deck right off of the living room. Kitchen had everything we needed and although there were only two of us the bathrooms and bedrooms were great. We were there in March and if we were skiers would definately put it on the list for ski season.
Is a great cabin for year around enjoyment. One of the best cabins we have stayed in West Virginia, and only 3 hours away from the DC area.
