Ubicada a 1 hora al norte de Lucca y a poca distancia de un buen restaurante y otras instalaciones, esta propiedad de 120 años es una propiedad grande dividida en 5 apartamentos separados (solo se alquilan juntos), por lo que es perfecta para grupos grandes que desean pasar unas vacaciones juntas pero tienen separación unos de otros.
En total hay 11 dormitorios y 8 baños.
Cada apartamento tiene su propia entrada, está equipado individualmente y tiene su propia zona exterior. También hay un gran patio donde podréis comer juntos al aire libre, con barbacoa. Además, hay un gran comedor interior donde todos podrán comer y relajarse juntos si llueve. La gran zona de comedor común está totalmente equipada con vajilla y utensilios de cocina y dispone de utensilios de cocina, lavavajillas y nevera para comidas comunitarias.
El propietario puede organizar noches de pizza bajo petición u ofrecer comidas tradicionales locales, por lo que si no quieres salir, ¡puedes dejarte mimar en casa! ¡También puedes aprender a hornear pan y hacer tus propias pizzas y luego disfrutar de los resultados! O puedes pedir aperitivos junto a la piscina, para picar antes de la cena. Hay una cocina al aire libre y un horno de leña que el propietario utiliza para cocinar para los huéspedes, pero comerás aquí cuando reserves una comida.

I booked this property to celebrate my 70rh birthday with my children and grandchildren, it was exactly what I’d hoped for, panoramic views of mountains and forest from our balcony, outside dining areas with long tables to accommodate all of us, plenty of open space and a beautiful pool so the children were very happy but also individual apartments with all facilities for each family to have some privacy. Flaviano and his family were wonderful hosts, his pizza night was so much fun with traditional toppings from various regions, and ending wth a Nutella and Smartie pizza with which the children were delighted!
The accommodation itself was very traditional in style and spotlessly clean with more than adequate utensils and equipment for self catering. The village was by no means touristy, it had two supermarkets In walking distance as well as a lovely butcher and various other shops and a couple of small bars. There was a very nice restaurant in the village which we went to twice, Flaviano lit the bbq for us one evening and we cooked meats from the butchers, but had we known how good his pizza night was going to be we would have booked his Tuscan meal too…highly recommended!
We would have no qualms about booking this again, it was perfect!

We LOVED our stay here and it is fair to say it exceeded our expectations. We loved the look and feel of the entire Villa. Everything from the grounds, to the pool, 5 separate apartments was spectacular.
We were 4 families traveling together. We knew there were separate apartments and we would have enough space but we were pleasantly surprised at just how much extra space there was. Each family had their own space and there was an apartment to spare for the kids to take over.
The pool area was our favorite spot. The saltwater pool was always clean and cared for and the amount of lounge chairs and umbrellas were plenty.
The outdoor seating area and the wood fired grill was an extra bonus. Some of our favorite times was sitting around the table as a group having fabulous meals.
Last, but certainly not least, the host, Flaviano, was a perfect host. He lives next door and has found the perfect balance of being available when needed and respecting space when wanted. He and his family were warm and welcoming. Typically, when staying in home rentals, you never see the host. This can be the case if you want but having him close by to answer questions was helpful.
Flaviano is also an amazing cook. We opted to have the pizza dinner and the 4 course meal. This should not be missed. Both meals were served in his restaurant that is on his property.
We all agreed that this stay was the best part of our vacation. We traveled for 3 weeks.

We were a Group of twelwe from the age of 15 to 80. One appartment was excelent for the lederly immobile with two bedroms at the Ground floor. The others was accessible with stairs.
The familiy renting out is very service minded, the sweetest people.
We had them preparing dinners - both anti pasti, pizza party and finner party and breakfast. We had the best Home made meals.
The pool area was fine, with accesible pool and Sun beds.
We highly recommend this place.

Close to grocery stores and the charming little shops with hospitable villagers. We were 15 people; 8 adults 7 children aged 0-13 who had a great time.
Wonderful house with 5 apartments with their own kitchens and bathrooms, great space and large pool.
The host Flaviano lives in the house next door and is very helpful with everything. DON'T MISS that Flaviano offers three-course dinners for 30€/person (children half price) pizza nights 25€/person (children half price) down in his nice taverna with wood-fired oven, local ingredients and family hospitality! We were all sad to leave this place.

A lovely village in the mountains, very nice landlord and family who runs the house. An old house with a lot of small apartments. We where a bit unlucky with the weather inspite we where there in the end of May so it was cold inside aswell as outside. But the nice days we had fantastic times around the pool. Our cyclists where very happy with the tours they went on in the surroundings. Our Pizzanight with the host was amazing!

My wife and I had long fantasized about booking a villa in Tuscany and bringing our whole family for a gathering. This place was beyond our wildest dreams. The listing was a little inaccurate in that there was more space than advertised. We had as many as 25 family and friends there at one time and never felt crowded with five separate apartments and 11 bedrooms. We wanted ambiance of a time gone by and this place delivered. Flaviano, the host, has put so much style and love into this place. He was super helpful, always friendly, and very responsive when there was a problem. The grounds were impeccable, the pool sparkling clean and the large lawn was perfect for our kids and grandkids. The location was perfect with a short walk to shops, gelato, a pizzeria and a world class restaurant. We loved the outdoor dining table that was big enough for our group. The taverna was a good hangout and place for us to dine on a few cool nights. Flaviano threw a pizza party for us and we had to force him to stop making pizzas. The only negative for us was the lack of good quality kitchen utensils as most of the family love to cook. Otherwise, a great place for a large group to stay. We loved the fact that Pieve is relatively untouristed and we were the only tourists in town. I can not recommend this place highly enough. Thank you Flaviano and Tuscan Retreats.

Very nice property with five distinct apartments all able to host a family. With 17 people we had more than enough room and amenities. The large indoor eating area is situated in the managers house so if the weather doesn't allow outdoor eating and you wish to eat together you have to ask the manager. The village is cosy and have cafés, ice cream place, bakers, atm's, food stores, butchers and more, so all you need really. The roads to the village are quite small and winding over the hills if you come from Modena or Aulla, so pills for car sickness can be good for kids.
The manager and his family are super friendly and helpful, and threw us a pizza party with top notch pizzas.
All in all an amazing week!

We were 12 adults gathering for a retirement celebration. The villas is divided into 5 separate apartments, which worked great for our group. Privacy when needed but plenty of together time too. I can't say enough about Flaviano, the host. He was so kind and accommodating, not to mention an incredible baker, who randomly showed up with delicious fresh baked breads, rolls, and pizzas for everyone to enjoy when we were gathered in the Taverna. He also made us a fire in the fireplace on several nights for all to enjoy. Flaviano made this a memorable and wonderful experience. I highly recommend staying here. The small village of Pieve Fosciana is quaint and has all the basics and the neighboring town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana has a train station and plenty of shops and restaurants too. It is helpful to have a car for exploring. We enjoyed a cooking class in Lucca and a truffle hunt in San Miniato and a few wineries in the area as well. The people were so friendly and helpful. If you want to feel like you are experiencing Italy and out of a tourist destination, this is the place to be!

Wunderschöner Familienurlaub und Geburtstagsfeiwr
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in Flavianos Haus. Der Pool ist großartig und das Grundstück sehr gemütlich. Die kleinen Wohnungen haben Privatsphäre gegeben, und wir hatten auch Platz, um gemeinsam zu frühstücken oder auch zu kochen. Wir hatten uns zweimal von Flaviano und seinem Team bekochen lassen , es war sehr schön und lecker! Auswärts konnten wir aber auch sehr gut essen. Alle waren sehr nett. Flaviano war äußerst hilfsbereit und gut erreichbar. Es sind viele hübsche Ortschaften und Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung. Ein perfekter Ort für eine Familienzusammenkunft, sehr zu empfehlen!

Family vacation
We took our parents for a surprise holiday for their 80th birthday. We had a group of 20 persons and really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of Pieve Fosciana. Flaviano made excellent pizza on our arrival evening. Overall, the villa was perfect for our needs since there were separate appartments.

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad ter ere van de 80e verjaardag van mijn moeder. De gastheer ontving ons hartelijk met vers gebakken foccaccia's! Iedereen had een eigen appartementje en toch konden we ook samen koken en eten in de heerlijke zaal beneden. De pizza-avond was een groot succes en ook de lekkerste pizza's die we ooit gegeten hebben. Echt een tophuis als je met meerdere gezinnen gaat.

Lovely villa in a small town, with many possibilities to visit the surrounding mountains and national parks. The villa is separated into different apartments, which is extremely useful for families or groups that sometimes want to withdraw to their own apartment. Owner was also really helpful and made our holiday even better. Would certainly recommend!

Wonderful holiday
I booked this villa for my Mother's 70th Birthday. We spent a week with 15 of us and had a fabulous time. The pool was wonderful, the host amazing (we loved his dinner parties). Nothing was too much trouble, even music and danced for us. Apartments/Villas were nice, traditional and had what we needed. Could have done with some fans as it was SO hot, I brought one myself for our room as the heat was unbearable. Wonderful to be able to walk into the town in 5 minutes for coffees, ice creams and cakes. Also a restaurant there if you want a meal out which we did several times. Supermarkets a short drive away. We would definitely return to this fabulous place and probably will! Thanks for your hospitality and sorry for writing this review so late.

Underbar vecka med vårt stora resesällskap!
Vi hade en härlig vecka i Flavians fantastiska hus/gård! Vi var 19 personer, men det fanns bäddar totalt för 25 personer. Stora lägenheter med rustika stora sovrum, med sköna sängar. Ett poolområde som var så fräscht, städades varje morgon. Vi grillade själva några gånger vid poolen. Flavian lagade en kanonfin middag till oss, på min mans 50-årsdag. Vi fick på fm var amed när pastan tillverkades. En kväll gjorde Flavian pizzor till oss i stenugnen nere vid det fina uteområdet, där vi åt varje måltid. Flavian hjälpte oss att boka vin-provning, och vi kunde fråga honom om råd till de flesta aktiviteter. Som sagt, en härlig vecka, vi rekommenderar denna gård med stor värme!

Insgesamt können wir das Domizil nur empfehlen - herrliche Lage in Mitten der Toskana - Tagesausflüge nach Lucca, Pisa und ans Meer - Fahrtdauer ca. 1 bis 1,5 Stunden von der Unterkunft.
Gerne hätten wir noch länger dort verweilt.

Fantastiskt
Vi var en grupp på 19 personer som stannade en vecka under våren 2019. Boendet var perfekt för oss eftersom det består av fem lägenheter samt finns möjlighet att gemensamt vistas i större lokaler (Locanda). Lägenheterna är fräscha och trivsamma. Det finns även flera terasser och platser att sitta på i trädgården. (Poolen hade ännu inte öppnats för säsongen)
Värden Flaviano är mycket gästvänlig och hjälpsam. Han har mycket kunskap om området och hjälper till med bokningningar av aktiviteter etc. Han är helt enkelt en perfekt värd.
Vi bokade en traditionell italiensk middag och även pizzakväll som Flaviano tillagade. Underbart gott! Det finns dessutom egentillverkat gott vin att köpa.
Vi är alla mycket nöjda med resan och vistelsen och vill varmt rekommendera detta boende.

A unique and wonderful villa for a large group
The location is great, it’s a five minute walk into the small town of Pieve Fosciana with shops and restaurants and there is a lovely little dairy just across the road for fresh milk. It is a lovely area for walking and also easy to travel to Lucca, Pisa and the surrounding villages.
The villa and grounds are beautiful and the separate apartments were ideal for our large group as each family could have some privacy but we could also enjoy eating and spending time together. Our host was very helpful throughout the holiday and we greatly enjoyed the pizza and pasta making. We had two meals prepared by our host which were excellent and we felt as if we were in a restaurant without having to leave the villa! The lovely swimming pool is looked after very well and there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy relaxing in the sunshine in this lovely villa.

Både de fysiske forhold, som ejerens imødekommenhed var helt perfekt.
Vi benyttede os 2 gange af, at ejeren lavede aftensmad til os, og det er en oplevelse man skal unde sig selv. Vi fik den mest autentiske italienske oplevelse, med masser af god mad, og børnene fik lov til at hjælpe med at lave pasta, så det var et hit for alle.

Set in a stunning Tuscan village with amazing scenery all round, Borgo Fosciana is an ideal place for a large group seeking Tuscan bliss.
The village itself is very quaint and picturesque with a fantastic restaurant and local grocery store stock an fantastic selection of local produce, all high quality but keenly priced from meats to wine and fresh produce.
The village is set in a stunning Tuscan valley with high Alpine mountains surrounding. Ideal location for hiking, trail running and mountain biking. The twisting roads are great for motorbiking and road cyclists alike.
The facilities at Villa are exceptional. Very clean and maintained to a high standard, you will find everything you need for a great break. If you're a foodie, you're in for a treat. Our hosts Flaviano with his mum and dad and chef Marcello, are exceptional cooks. We were hosts to a pizza making session with kids, Italian night where pasta and breads baked fresh on sight with more lessons on offer (complimentary experience). Flaviano makes all his own red wine and Prosecco which both are amazing and very good value. We were treated to a wine tasting evening which was brilliant fun and we helped bottle fresh wine. The BBQ area was great and a few servings of Grappo went down a storm!
Above everything, Flaviano and family were exceptional and made this holiday fantastic. Their hospitality is second to none, offering to bring us for grocery shop and to local train station, he couldn't do enough to help. Flaviano's knowledge of local area, food and wine is fantastic!!!!
Location wise, very convenient for exploring local villages and to train station for trips to Lucca, Florence and Pisa. Highly recommend from every aspect!!!! Will be back.

Lovely place, and great people running it
A lovely place. It consists of a number of buildings (some with rooftop terraces) in a spacious area, which means that large groups can gather together (great for al fresco large scale meals) or retreat to to the individual units (each with sitting room, kitchen, etc). Views all round of high mountains. Go out the main gate and turn right, and you're immediately onto countryside, river and hill walks. Go out the side gate, and you're straight onto the narrow medieval main town street, through the town gateway and into the centre (good cafes and bakery).
The owners are always available to help, and are hugely welcoming and friendly. They laid on a 'how to make fresh pasta' session for us, followed by a many-course, 'slow cooking' feast , including quantities of their own made wine and Prosecco, at 15 euro a head - highly reccommended.
