The accommodation was very clean and well maintained inside & outside. It was well furnished and equipped, with light airy rooms. Everything that we used, worked, without any problems. It was really pleasant accommodation. The only issue we had was that the wifi password, which according to the instructions, was on the bottom of the router, didn't seem to give access to the network. As we were only staying for three nights we didn't chase this up with the host, but it might need checking.

The road noise. Although the traffic is light, it goes past the property at speed, late at night and again during the early morning. It disturbs guests' sleep, through the night. Also, the single beds, which have very firm mattress bases are somewhat uncomfortable.

The place itself was lovely. It was very basic but had everything you would need for a self accommodation. It is only a 5 minute drive from Aldeburgh beach and high street which was perfect. Great wifi connection.

The place was unfortunately infested with cellar spiders, we must have got rid of 60 whilst we were there. We found it really difficult to sleep there as everytime we came back to the place or woke up there were more in each room. We did notify the owners of this and they did send a maintenance person but they didn't actually come into the property to look just left us with more fly killer. We left early because of this. It is on a main road that was still noisy at night with tractors coming down the road untill around 12.30am. the curtains didn't really block out light so the headlights would shine through each time. The shower head in the ensuite bathroom kept sliding down when in use. There is only a small monitor screen as a TV. It has Freeview but not all channels and the signal was intermittent. There was a DVD player but no DVDs. There was a stereo but it doesn't scan for radio channels nor are there any CDs. There were a few outdated boardgames to keep us entertained, but I would highly recommend bringing your own sources of entertainment. The outdoor space is okay but all the plants had died from the heat wave and hadn't been looked after at all. It needed a tidy up.

Decor seemed brand new with comfortable furnishings, bedding and fully-equipped kitchen. One shower en-suite and one bath - though rather narrow - was perfect for two couples sharing. Loved the small garden and picnic table adjoining the kitchen through French windows but couldn't take advantage of it due to weather.

Bathrooms need a shelf for personal items and front hallway could use a stool for ease of shoe/dirty boot removal. Directions for rubbish sorting could be clearer and we had to spend some time hunting for the window & door keys which were in a small box on the coffee table!
