We enjoyed being close to all the things we wanted to see. The mattresses were amazingly comfortable, the porch was a great place to sit and relax, and the house very cozy. We particularly enjoyed the porch swing.

We had a wonderful stay- the house was very spacious and so homey. The porch was a plus.. would definitely go back to stay again..

Huge house with a beautiful front porch. Awesome bedrooms. Living room needs a bit more seating. Kitchen had everything we could ever need! The games and cards were great to have too.

Loved the house! Super cute home, absolutely loved it! It is on a somewhat busy street, but Whataburger is right across, Walmart down the road, and shops are not even 5 minutes away! Only complaint would be no blinds on the front door, but other than that, perfect place!

Everything was very homey. We loved the front porch! It was conveniently located close to historic downtown.

This house was in a fabulous location that made it easy to get around town. It was very clean and we had great customer service while we were there. The front patio was beautiful and wonderful to sit out on in the mornings. Ceiling fans would make the patio comfortable for the evenings. The problems however outweighed the location. When we first arrived two beds had not been made up. We called and maids came out within 30 minutes to make up the beds. We also only had one roll of toilet paper in our bathroom so we had to call another time to get toilet paper brought to us. The coffee maker took 2 hours percolating and still only made 8 cups not the 12 we put in. Called again and someone brought out another coffee pot, but sadly it did the same thing. Obviously the pots need to have vinegar run through them to clean them out. We ended up going to McDonalds to get our coffee. Our bathroom only had a see through lace curtain on the window which was not frosted. An occupied house was directly behind the window so it was very uncomfortable getting out of the shower. I've never seen a see through curtain on a clear bathroom window before. The chairs at the dining table were extremely uncomfortable. We ended up bringing in the plastic chairs from the patio while we were playing games at the table. The chairs definitely need to be replaced. Unless these things are addressed we would not stay here again.

Had a great stay in this lovely home! Would love to return if we visit Fredericksburg again.

Everything good

The home was beautiful inside and out. The large front porch was perfect for coffee drinking in the mornings, deer watching across the street and relaxing. The only downfall is the key pad for entry is on the door that enters into one of the bedrooms. It should be moved to one of the front doors. Other than that the home was perfect for our weekend stay!

It’s a great location, clean, and awesome house. Roomie and cozy to hang out after a day of wine drinking and enjoying what Fredericksburg has to offer.

The home was clean and ready to relax in! Loved the porch with the wind chimes to Sit and drink my morning coffee!

The king bed was very comfortable and the place was, did I say, clean! We didn’t spend much time in the home as we were out.

The traffic noise is a little heavy and the coffee pot didn’t work, but it was a nice, clean place to stay. The bathrooms can only be accessed through the bedrooms. Didn’t like that. It has a wonderful covered porch with nice amenities! I would rent again!

This house had everything that we needed. We weren’t there very much but when we were the front porch was a great place to hang out. And according to the log book, seems like the owners always have a gift for the renters. We got a large glass mug for Oktoberfest with our name on it. Was perfect what what we needed.

The house was wonderful and big enough for our small family. While my daughters and cousins went on the wine tour, the baby and I got to rest and walk around. We have a nice grilled dinner and it was very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and will come back again. We did have trouble with the internet wifi and the televisions but as soon as I made the call, it was fixed. Being out there is no reception for mobile devices hardly. So being able to connect to wifi is important. Everything else was perfect. I love the patio and the big swings. Bring mosquito spray... lol It's a beautiful location and you can actually see deer in the area. I, We, loved every moment!!! Anita

Nice 3 bedroom 2 bath home with a great front porch. Close to Main St.

My two friends and I were on a 17 day motorcycle trip and chose this venue as a five day hub. Good move! The house is comfortable, clean, in good condition, and well stocked with a little extras. All three of us highly recommend Ida’s Gasthaus.

This was our first trip to Fredericksburg, TX. We loved the house. It was very pretty and comfortable. A great place to escape to at the end of the day. I loved sitting and relaxing on the porch. The staff were very attentive and responsive to our needs.

Great little house - the only reason it is not a 5 is the location is very close to a main street and we heard cars all night driving by. Everything else was perfect!

Booking was very easy online. Vacation sent email with confirmation. Also texted door a cess number and responded quickly when had question.

This property was perfect for our family of 4, with room to spare. We loved the large porch and rocking chairs. It was a great location - not far from all of the stores, WWII museum, and restaurants on the main drag, and also convenient to the wineries. It doesn't have a dishwasher, so just be prepared to wash some dishes if you're going to cook. We were very happy with our stay. The bottled water in the fridge was also appreciated.
