The tranquil village location, and the fact we could easily access Knaresborough by bus from outside establishment.

Based in a very small village, really quiet , hidden gem with garden and extra area with tables for families . Room was very spacious , ultra mod cons, anything you need to make your stay a good one. Hairdryer, tea, coffee, posh coffee machine, air con and a humongous tv! Best of all the bathroom was to die for , I really need a shower in my life like the one in our room!!!! Digitally or Wi-Fi not sure but it was amazing. Food spot on ! Hats off to chef .. superb , my husband got chef special , oh wow a massive steak and pork pie , he couldn’t fault it! Thanks to front of house staff for making our stay, special thanks to the very cheery Debbie, you looked after us faultlessly ! Breakfast at sister property Goldsborough hall was out of this world, never tasted a breakfast so good, with so much to offer, really spoiled for choice , luxury at its finest

I thiught it was very expensive £180 for a night the bar restaurant closes at 8pm, kitchen before 8pm so was lucky we brought the kids snacks and a drink as the whole place cloesd. our price didnt include breakfast and were told on check in we could purchase at the neighbouring hotel at £20pp our children are 6 and 12 so seemed a little extortionate. The pillows were terrible and only had two cups in our room it was a room for four people, we would have asked but the pub closed and no one to be seen. On check out again no one there so reluctantly had to leave our key in the room.

Breakfast available at the Hall next Door was very expensive...but theres a Weatherspoons in Knaresborough.

A wonderful reception by the staff on arrival. We particularly liked the relocation of the hotel, the superb building and the facilities. We do recommend you try the food too!

My room was very cold when I arrived but it was easy to quickly warm it with the heated AC unit. The staff were on hand here to support you with any needs or questions too, felt like home from home!

Wonderful staff! Great food at dinner and some lovely touches to make it special! Bathroom was lovely. Amazing shower which is often something that is overlooked. With underfloor heating it would be a fantastic bathroom.

Some maintenance issues in the room (door closer/bedside light). Tried to report on checkout but contactless checkout. Easy to fix.
