We loved this location and home! Appreciated the walk ability, charming homes and so many supplies like ziploc baggies, cooking supplies, coffee, drinks, etc. would definitely stay again!

This lovely second floor apt of a duplex was one of the nicest VRBO accommodations we’ve stayed in. Very comfortable and well appointed 2 bedroom close to hiking, resturaunts, downtown San Rafael, and SF. It’s great for cool days and nights. However, no AC, so hot when temps go above 85.

We stayed in this location for 8 nights last week. This is a lovely property in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to main roads/highways, shopping, restaurants and recreation. Sandy was was an amazing host and provided everything we needed. Kitchen, bathrooms and all amenities were well appointed and the most organized we have ever experienced in a VRBO. We were staying with our young adult son and teenage daughter and both were cozy and happy with the comfy living room, GIANT bean bag chair and smart TV. The super cute dogs who live on the property added so much charm to our stay, and the lovely fruit trees on the deck provided gorgeous shade to the outdoor dining area. We will be back!!

The property was as described, very clean, comfortable, lots of towels, beds very comfortable, nice touch coffee, coffee filters and other supplies provided by the host. Nice neighborhood and walkable to town. My only comment is that our wedding was in Bolinas and the description said it was 9 miles from Bolinas when it was 26 miles and 55 minutes but a nice drive. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time to the San Francisco area and just knew we needed to find something near Fairfax to attend a family wedding. We were delighted to find this house and it is just as charming as the describe. The owners live in the lower level, which we found out when we needed some help lighting the beautiful commercial-grade gas oven. She was there within minutes and helped us get it going. They have tons of material on things to do and see in San Rafael and SF as a whole. We would definitely recommend this house and the owners.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The host had various items available just in case someone had forgotten. Walking distance to a grocery store and downtown made the location very convenient.

We had a wonderful stay in San Rafael! Sandi was so kind and helpful. The little touches to make our stay feel special was greatly appreciated! The place had everything we needed and it was in a wonderful neighborhood where we found some great walking trails!

This may be the most comfy, clean and organized VRBO I have experienced. Sandra was very responsive and her personal touches create a true home away from home. Really enjoyed the details of sharing the history of the home and neighborhood. I would stay here again for sure and highly recommend.

We and another couple stayed here. It is located conveniently to the downtown area. We were not able to walk into town due to weather but it would be a nice walk.
The host is very responsive. We lost power during our stay due to weather and she kept us updated on when the power would be restored.
The house is clean, well kept and has many necessities available if you forgot anything. You do park on the street but we felt very safe in the neighborhood it is in.

Super cute upper apartment in an adorable neighborhood in San Rafael. Close to beautiful nature and plenty of delicious food spots. Sandra the host was very responsive and helpful. We had everything we needed.

My sisters and I visited San Rafael to see my daughter, who is a senior at Dominican Univ. The 4 of us all loved this property! It's located on a quiet street in a quaint neighborhood that feels super safe. The living room is very comfortable, the bedrooms are spacious with luxury bedding, and the back deck was perfect for coffee in the morning. We didn't cook, but you certainly could with the fabulous gas stove here. The space is immaculately cleaned. Probably the cleanest property I've ever booked. Walkable to many restaurants and the grocery store is a quick drive. Hope to stay here again in May! :).

Beautiful butterflies greeted us at the gate. There is a butterfly sanctuary 🦋. The apartment is bright, clean, and comfy. The beds are firm and comfortable. Supplies for cooking and laundry. Hot showers! Excellent recommendations for places to see and yummy dinner choices. This was the perfect place to stay for us as we commuted to family wedding actives in Novato. Beautiful sums our stay up perfectly. Thank you!

It was our base during the weekend of our daughter’s wedding. I ad some baking to do and the oven was great for making traditional Norwegian wedding cake. There is a spaciousness about the place. Good airflow throughout the day. The neighborhood is quiet. Sandra is a very kind host and has created a beautiful and comfortable space.

The host was so accommodating and made our stay relaxing and stress free it was extremely clean and stocked with everything you need.
One of the best VRBO we have visited.great property and close to so many restaurants and day trips Muir Woods, San Francisco and of course San Rafael.

Beautiful property!
We were visiting our new granddaughter and her parents in San Rafael and the location to their home was perfect. The house is in a beautiful historic neighborhood that felt safe at all times. Everything was immaculate and very comfortable, especially the beds which were made with quality linens. The deck off the back bedroom was very much appreciated and was surrounded by beautiful landscaping.

Canceled due to Covid but owner did not refund any money
I realize we had a no cancelation clause, but when the California Bay Area counties issued a lock-down order in early December, we had to cancel and the owner showed no flexibility whatsoever. More than $5000 wasted. My advise to others is not to accept no cancelation clauses, and to be aware that owners may want to be inflexible.

Modern, bright, well provisioned and perfect location!
Our family recently stayed at Sandra's property in order for us to visit family in San Rafael in a social distanced manner. We loved the property which is the top floor of Sandra's house. The kitchen was wonderful with new appliances, plenty of counter space, all the pots/pans/utensils needed. She also included some drinks in the fridge which was great after a long trip! The bedrooms are great and have comfy sheets and comforters. Master bathroom shower was a favorite for everyone with updated and modern look and feel with great water pressure. Nice sized deck off the back to eat or have a few drinks at the end of the day. The washer/dryer are a combined unit so don't expect to do a lot of laundry as it will need to mostly air dry. We were 2 adults and 2 teens so we also used the sofa bed in the living room. Another useful item was that provisions such as toilet paper, paper towels, toiletries, washer liquid, dish soap, etc were provided which makes visiting easy to not have to build those items for a stay. Sandra was very responsive and accommodating and made sure our stay was enjoyable and seamless. We will be back!

Convenient location
We enjoyed our stay. With less traffic due to Covid-19, traveling on the highway was a breeze. Well appointed kitchen with some glitches noted while trying to use the gas stove. Shower nozzle in master bathroom was difficult to figure out. TV is streaming only so, it’s tricky trying to get it to work. Afternoons are quite warm in the apartment. Fortunately, there were plenty of windows and fans. Enjoyed walking through Gerstle Park. However, we happened upon a hypodermic needle in the park. Densely populated quaint neighborhood neighborhood with lots of dog walkers. The unit is up several stairs. Therefore, it is not ADA friendly. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Family Getaway
Sandra was really responsive and easy to work with, she made herself available if we needed her, everything was perfect! The kitchen was really well appointed with more than the usual in utensils, appliances and cookware, very nice! The beds were really comfy too. Very cute comfortable home, we would stay there again!
