We loved the cabin and surrounding grounds. All the saplings and rock features made this a one of a kind location. The rooms were all very inviting, especially the main living area and fireplace. All the wonderful books to peruse made winding down very enjoyable. The cabin’s location was a nice distance from Corea, and both the Schoodic and main attractions of Acadia National Park. We will be visiting again someday and will be sure to recommend this cabin to friends.

As soon as my family and I drove up to the cabin, we were enraptured by the scenery and property! It felt like a quintessential Maine stay that was worth every penny to spend a weekend in the crisp air in quiet retreat. There was nothing we needed for as far as kitchen amenities, blankets, towels...everything was perfect! It was a little too cold to use the firepit this time around, but I cannot wait to book this place again for summertime and enjoy the cabin at a different time of the year. BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY…inside and out! Ideal for couples or small families. Soooooo clean, comfortable, easy to “operate!” Gorgeous shower, convenient laundry, over the top kitchen and cooking supplies, down to the spices and seasonings you forgot to buy or bring. The fireplace, heating system, entertainment options on point…awesome fresh linens, perfect furniture and cabin decor! This was a winter visit. I can imagine it’s warm weather seasonal experience. Enjoyed the fire pit and walking trails. Wonderful easy positive communications from host/co-host. Easy welcoming check in and check out. Well stocked local markets just a bit away if you need more of anything! Can’t wait go back!

Rustic but also very comfortable with full amenities. Very peaceful and quiet

My wife and I flew into Boston from Atlanta and drove up at night and said “wow how quiet and peaceful” as the stars were so bright and close, it seemed. The cabin was very clean and felt like home and it was home for the week we stayed. The bed was super comfortable! My favorite place to visit while there was Schoodic Penninsula, a definite must see!! Our hosts were very informative and responsive. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back!

Wonderful escape in a great location to explore all of Arcadia National Park and the surrounding coastal communities. Delightful remote setting in a welcoming cabin on a beautiful 40 acre property. Owners provided for their guests every desire while visiting from welcome basket to necessary paper products.

We did a lot of touring Acadia National Park and surrounding area so we did not spend a lot of time at the cabin. It is a little hike from Bar Harbor - about an hour but I would personally choose that over seeing several other cabins in view of my front porch. We saw a doe and her fawns numerous days and a porcupine a couple days. Lots of squirrels running around and just beautiful scenery. We loved the 9 nights we stayed there.

My husband and I stayed five nights at this property. If living in a cute cabin in the Maine woods is on your bucket list, then Rocky Woods Cabin is perfect. While there are plenty of woods surrounding the cabin, you are just around the corner from civilization. The cabin has rustic decor and low lighting which makes it feel very cozy and comfortable. There are two bedrooms upstairs with pitched ceilings (I am tall but it was not an issue at all) and one bedroom downstairs next to the bathroom. My favorite rooms were the fully stocked kitchen that splits into the living room with the fireplace and flat screen TV. A washer and dryer is available for use, which made the return home so much nicer with clean clothes! As former FD members we were pleased with the safety equipment available (a water hose each for house, grill, and fire pit) as well as escape ladder upstairs, and flashlights/bug spray etc. The owners love and take great care of this property and it shows. Both owners communicated in a timely manner via VRBO email to notify us of updates and to respond to our questions. We enjoyed stepping outside at night to view the night sky and during the day there is an ornery family of red tailed squirrels to watch (as well as deer). I would suggest arriving the first time in daylight to get a feel for the neighborhood roads and stop in Ellsworth beforehand for supplies. While the purpose of our trip was to hike, we spent more time enjoying the cabin! Thank you Alice and Kyle!

This place is all about relaxation. Private, just a great homey feel.It was nice seeing the area, but was real nice coming back home.Super place for star watching.No light pollution.Wildlife in abundance.Host was outstanding,Couldn’t have been happier.

The property was so quaint, well decorated, and in a great location. We loved going to Acadia and then leaving the traffic and people behind for our quiet retreat. The owner communicated everything beautifully and thought of everything we would need to make our trip even better. Cabin was clean, beds were comfortable and trails were great for kids to meander though!!

This cabin was absolutely lovely! We enjoyed watching a family of porcupines and hiking the property, finding wild blueberries. We enjoyed Corea, Winter Harbor, Bar Harbor and Acadia. This is the perfect place for your Maine adventure. Comfortable beds and a wonderful place to land after our daily adventures! Highly recommend.

This was our first family vacation using VRBO and it will not be the last. The photos of Rocky Woods Cabin are fantastic but the experience of being in the space and on the property was even better than the photos. The owners have thought about everything you will need. The kitchen is well accommodated. There is plenty of firewood for the outdoor firepit. The binder of info answered any questions we may have had, including nearby restaurants, best grocery store, etc... This was the perfect place to have a great Maine vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay!! Communication was excellent with the Alice and Kyle! The cabin was the most well stocked place we have ever stayed. Our kids loved the outdoor space! A perfect place to relax and unwind! We would love to come back again one day!

I can’t enough wonderful things about Rockywoods Cabin. It was clean, had everything we needed and thoughtfully designed. Our family of 5 stayed for four nights here and it became our haven from the hustle and bustle of Acadia National park. We enjoyed hiking around the grounds and also enjoyed a bon fire with the s’mores ingredients they left for us! Again, I can’t say enough good things about this stay - we hope we can return one day!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Rocky Woods cabin. The trails on the property were fun to explore and well marked. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you need for your stay. The hosts are wonderful; great communicators who have thought of everything. It was honestly the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing Maine vacation!!!

If you have ever dreamed of spending time in a Maine cabin this rental is for you. The cabin looks like it belongs on a bottle of maple syrup! It was so quiet and peaceful and was a great place to relax and enjoy the view from the back porch of deer and singing birds. The owners obviously have taken great care in setting this cabin up for guests as they have made sure many details have been addressed. The wifi is fast and I was able to zoom and work easily. We enjoyed the large screen TV over the much appreciated gas fireplace every day. The Mr. Coffee type coffee maker had some coffee and filters. They even left a welcome basket of chips and treats. We stopped at the Hannaford supermarket in Ellsworth before heading to the cabin we cooked most of our meals. Nice pots and pans to cook on the large gas stove. Even the dishes had a Maine woods theme. The dishwasher was a nice Bosch and some dish detergent was supplied. Good washing machine/dryer. It was rainy several days we were there and my husband and I relaxed in front of the warm fireplace. There is only one bathroom but it was not a problem for just the two of us. The comfortable king bed was upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. There is a small futon type bed downstairs for one person. The owners were very responsive to questions. They did request that any cooking of seafood be done outside on the grill or burner so avoid having the seafood smell get into the wood walls. There is also a firepit but we didn't use it.

The cabin was perfectly appointed with many thoughtful touches. Private and lovely location convenient to Acadia but away from crowds!

Our second stay at Rocky Woods Cabin was just as great as the first. Alice has a wonderful property - spacious and clean, and it felt like we were home again walking in the door after two years. Communications were excellent as always, and the deer and woodchucks came to visit every night despite the rain. The gift basket was also very appreciated. Thank you for a great stay!

This cabin is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle! The decor is cozy, location is private, trails on the property are easy for beginners. No complaints whatsoever! The hostess, Alice, was a great communicator. We took all her suggestions including grabbing fresh lobster (right off the boat!) and cooking it outside on the fire. Chef’s kiss!

The Rocky Woods Cabin is a great escape! It's the perfect place to reconnect with nature while enjoying a very comfortable and beautifully decorated home. No light pollution meant an amazing display of constellations while we were outdoors enjoying the firepit. We were sad to leave and would certainly come back to this magic place!

Everything was as described and perfect. I have nothing remotely negative to say. It was amazing! The communication with the hosts was above and beyond. About 20 mins away from the property, me and my girlfriend were unfortunately in a minor car accident and the hosts were responsive immediately and started helping us immediately. Honestly, can't say enough good things. They helped turn a rocky start into a very nice experience and it was so appreciated.

The cabin is gorgeous, tastefully decorated and very cozy. The hosts were so thoughtful! We got in the night before Valentines - they left us a box of chocolates, a bottle of champagne and all the fixings for s’mores (which we enjoyed by the fire pit). We felt so welcome it was like we were staying at a friends place, only better cause we had it all to ourselves…

My husband and I cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful property in ME. Leading up to our visit, our hosts offered clear directions to the property and comprehensive check-in instructions. We enjoyed the peaceful privacy of the nestled cabin but were still able to access the broader Acadia area with an hour's ride. The cabin itself was pristine, comfortable, and fully equipped to meet our every want. We especially appreciated the well-supplied kitchen and laundry room. Thank you, Kyle and Alice! We certainly hope to return for our future anniversaries.

One of the best VRBOs I’ve stayed at to date. The property was just like the pictures. The hosts were terrific in checking in with me both at check in and check out. A welcome basket and the lights were on when I got there. A very quiet property- no road or neighbor noise. My goal was to have a restorative respite few days and this was perfect. Spent my days hiking and night enjoying a glass of wine by the fire. Perfect few days away!

We had such a great stay! So relaxing! The pictures don’t do this property justice! Our girls loved walking the trails around the property and we enjoyed our nights by the fire pit. We spent a day a Acadia National Park. The property was very clean and cozy! We can’t wait to go back!

Words cannot describe how amazing our stay at Rocky Woods Cabin was. Our family of 4 found everything perfect, enjoying walks in the woods to watching porcupines feed near daily on the lawn. Over the 8+ years we've traveled to Maine, this cabin was by far one of the best. We'll be coming back to the cabin in the future for sure!

What a perfect place! You can see the effort put into restoring the cabin and keeping the rustic magic from its past. I think we saw new wildlife meandering through the clearing below the fire pit every day. The surrounding area was awesome, we decided to stay away from the crowds and explore the peninsula and the small towns north up the coast all the way to West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. Thank you for the great experience and we will be visiting again soon!

The cabin was lovely functional and the main living area was spacious. However my favorite part was the front porch each early morning we had coffee waiting to see if the deer would stroll by or the hummingbird buzz through, so quiet and peaceful. The location was great we had fun visiting the smaller fishing communities near by and then taking day trips to either Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park. Inside the cabin a huge stove adequate refrigerator space and lots of ice. The beds were super comfortable the main living space had big sink in comfortable sofa and chair with a large tv and if you desired a lit fireplace. The only recommendation I would make is a few brighter light bulbs for evening reading. Everything was fantastic with the guess in mind, plenty of towels, well stocked kitchen, lots of books and games to occupy the group and overall super clean. A perfect place to get away and enjoy nature yet close enough to visit iconic tourist spots.
